Recently, as the interest in environmental issues increases, the construction industry needs to recycle blast furnace slag, circulating fluidized bed Combustion fly ash, etc. to solve industrial by-products, and to develop artificial stone. In this study, the strength characteristics based on blast furnace slag according to the addition rate of alkali stimulant NaOH are investigated. The experimental results showed that the flexural and compressive strengths increased with the addition of alkali stimulants. Based on these results, it will be presented as a basic research data for the manufacture of artificial stone and will be tested later.

Recently, as people's interest in environmental pollution increases, interest in indoor air pollution as well as outdoors is increasing. Accordingly, this study prepares functional paints by mixing powder activated carbon, which is a porous material, into aqueous paints, and examines the adsorption performance of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde (HCHO). As a result of the experiment, the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde (HCHO) tended to decrease as powder activated carbon was incorporated. It is believed that physical adsorption was achieved by the micropores of powdered activated carbon. However, in the adsorption test method, it is judged that the concentration was affected by the inflow of outside air as the chamber cover was opened to put the test object in the empty chamber where a certain concentration was maintained.

국내의 기계 및 설비관련 학과는 모든 산업의 기초가 되는 기계를 다루는 기술인이 반드시 알아야 할 기계관련 이론과 다양한 실기를 통해 산업현장에 필요한 전문직업인 양성에 교육 목표를 두고 있다. 또한 오늘날 첨단 기계 산업의 발달 및 다양화에 따라 생산 및 생산시설 관리, 제품 설계 및 제작, 엔지니어링 마케팅, 컴퓨터 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 관련 업무를 충실히 담당할 중견 전문가 양성도 담당하고 있다. 기계 설비분야의 미래를 책임질 기계설비 전문인을 양성하기 위해 기계 및 설비관련 학과는 2009년 현재 전국의 13개 대학에서 다양한 커리큘럼을 통해 배출하고 있다. 본지는 지난 3월호부터 전국의 기계 및 설비관련 학과를 소개한다.
