Development of the lift-up and procurement system for Just-in-Time in the Building Construction (건설공사의 적시생산(Just-In-Time)을 위한 양중시스템 개발)

  • The material lift-up and procurement management for high-rise buildings is complex and critical key to the success of projects. It has been hardly managed by the heuristic or rule-of-thumb techniques which are adapted in usual construction building sites. Especially in downtown high-rise residential building project sites, the limit of heuristic management techniques is critical. It has space constraint for materials loading and site transportation especially in finish work phases in which construction period diverse work trades struggle for their own material and manpower transportation. Hence, it is essential to adapt JIT(Just-In-Time) concept in these particular types of building construction project sites. According to the analysis of the case project sites, the communication and flow of relevant information regarding material lift-up and transportation in project sites is the key factor for successful performance. Therefore, this study analyzes the flow and site transportation of the key materials and provides the system, PLUTO(Procurement & Lift-Up for material Transport Optimizing system). This study also applies the system in the case site and verifies the model validation in actual project.

A Study on the Applicability of Character Recognition Technology for Construction Supply Chain Management of Structural Steel Components and Precast Concrete Works (철골 및 PC 공사의 물류관리를 위한 문자 인식 기술의 적용성 검토)

  • As construction projects increase their complexity, variety, and scale, various recognition applications (such as RFID, bar-code etc.) have been tried for managing material effectively in construction projects. However, existing recognition applications for construction material management have some limitations that cause additional works (such as attaching RFID tag), additional cost (labor cost, recognition device cost, etc.), and cognitive impairment of workers. Therefore, this study proposed a character recognition technology as an alternative of previous recognition technologies such as RFID, bar-code, etc. The technical feasibility of proposed technology was validated by three recognition tests. Additionally, this study proposed code the structure to manage materials using the character recognition technology. The effects of character recognition technology are presented by comparing with existing RFID-based logistics processes.

  • 산업자원부가 주최하고 에너지관리공단이 주관하는 국내 최대의 에너지관련 행사인 '2006년 에너지전시회'가 지난 9월 26~30일 서울 코엑스 1층 태평양홀에서 성황리에 개최됐다. 올해 에너지전시회에는 역대 최대인 국내외 총 200개 업체가 참석, 600여개의 부스를 통하여 저마다의 기술을 뽐내고 국내 에너지절약사업이 이미 세계 수준에 근접했음을 널리 알렸다. 고유가 장기화와 기술별화협약에 대응한 '국내외 고효율제품. 기술교류 및 판매촉진의 장'으로 구성된 이번 전시회는 제품의 특징별로 설비부품 및 자재관, 연료 및 열사용기기관, 전기사용기기관, 신재생에너지관, 기술공공관 등 5개관으로 구성돼 이용자의 호응을 얻었다. 이번 전시회에서 '설비부품 및 자제관'을 최초 설치해 단열자재, 설비자재, 고효율모터 등 에너지설비에 사용하는 1차 제어 및 제어 계측시스템 등이 별로도 전시됐다는 것에 주목 할 만 하다. 이는 설비업계가 에너지산업에서 차지하는 위상이 그만큼 높아졌다는 것을 단적으로 보여준 것이다. 이번 전시회에서 주목할 만한 설비제품을 소개한다.

  • Local Mechanical work is researched which spending unnecessary labors and time due to unnecessary material accumulation and fabricated on site. Accordingly, this study analyzes the work process of mechanical equipments by Lean Production principles. Value Stream Analysis(VSA) uncovers waste factor of the existing method and manufactory production method using Value Stream Mapping(VSM). In the results, this study presents improvement of the existing method problems and negative factors of manufactory production.
