국립등대박물관 상설전시실 현황과 전시구성

  • 국립등대박물관은 1985년에 포항시 영일만에 있는 호미곶등대 옆에 건립되었다. 이후 몇 차례 확장을 했고, 2여년에 걸쳐 전시관을 신축하면서 유물관을 리모델링하고 2022년 7월 1일 재개관식을 개최했다.. 본 연구에서는 국립등대박물관의 핵심건물인 전시관의 상설전시공간의 현황을 조사하고 분석하여 국내 유일한 등대박물관으로의 역할과 발전방향을 고찰하고자 한다. 먼저 기존 상설전시실이 위치하던 유물관의 복잡한 동선체계를 개선하고 패널과 일반 모형 중심의 연출을 벗어나 이용객 지향적인 동선과 체험물을 활용했다. 앞으로도 전시공간 매치, 연출 및 그래픽 체계, 영상매체 등의 미디어를 활용해 관람객이 능동적으로 참여하는 공간을 구축해야 한다.

Energy Performance and Operating Cost Assessment for Implementing Green Remodeling Technologies in a Detached House (단독주택 건물 그린리모델링에 따른 건물 에너지 성능과 운전비용 절감 효과 평가)

  • The Government the Republic of Korea is showing a lot of interest in net zero-energy buildings (NZEBs) to reduce energy consumption of buildings and to promote green growth policy in construction sector. The application of building passive technologies and renewable energies is essential to achieving NZEBs. Green remodeling reinforced the insulation of the exterior walls and roofs of the buildings and replaced high-efficiency windows and doors. In this study, the energy performance before and after green remodeling applied in a detached house was comparatively analyzed for baseline scenario and three different ones, ALT 1, ALT 2 and ALT 3. A building modeling and simulation software (DesignBuilder V7.0) with EnergyPlus (V9.4) calculation engine was used to calculate the energy demand and energy consumption for each scenario. Based on the calculation results of the building's energy demand for baseline, it was determined that the target building required more heating energy than cooling energy. The simulation results also showed that the implementation of building envelope performance improvement technologies (ALT 1) could notably decrease the heating energy consumption of the building. After the remodeling (ALT 1), the source energy consumption per unit floor area was assessed to be reduced by 65.2%, compared to prior remodeling of 338.7 kWh/m2 -y. Meanwhile, ALT 2 can achieve energy savings of 67.7% and ALT 3 can achieve savings of 73.1%. Following completion of the remodeling project, actual construction costs, and on-site measurements and verification results will be gathered and compared with the simulation results. Additionally, economic analysis including construction costs and payback period will be conducted using actual site data.

The Improvement of Building Envelope Performance in Existing School Building (기존 학교 건물의 외피 성능 개선 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: This study is to investigate the effects of facade insulation and window remodeling of an existing old middle school building on the reduction of energy consumption. Method: To analyze energy performance of building, using DesignBuilder v3.4, building energy simulation tool based EnergyPlus engine. Energy consumption and problem of target building was analyzed based on data and survey. Based on building energy simulations it analyzed the variation of energy demand for the building according to U-value of wall, glazing properties and external shading devices. Result: When insulation of building was reinforced, cooling and heating load was decreased. Glazing properties that minimize cooling and heating energy consumption were analyzed. In conclusion, it is important to choose SHGC and U-value of window fit in characteristic of target building. Setting external blind for cooling load decreases 5%.

Vibration Characteristics of a Building Before and After Damage by Actual Measurement (실측을 통한 건물의 손상 전.후 진동특성 평가)

  • Recently, the remodeling projects of old low-rise buildings were launched in Korea. However, most of them were not satisfied with the value set forth by the KBC2005. Even though there are some research studies on how to improve the seismic performance of such buildings as newly constructed buildings, there is little research in measuring the actual vibrations on low old buildings to prove the effect of retrofit. There also has not been any in-depth research on the dynamic characteristics of full-scale structures using vibration measurements of the building that was damaged to failure. Using an actuator, the dynamic characteristics of reinforced three-storey concrete buildings were evaluated before and after they were damaged. After an 80-mm horizontal displacement by the actuator, frequency in the long and short directions were reduced to 20.85% and 5.77% respectively ; damping ratio was also reduced to 53.9% and 23.15% respectively.

  • This study examined public building remodeling projects in France. Through investigating cases of ancient buildings remodeled in France, the study aimed to provide fundamental data and analysis for remodeling public buildings. Accordingly, seven cases were analyzed in terms of remodeling methods, architectural characteristics, methods of conservation, and restoration of ancient historical buildings, as well as a change of usage of an existing building. As a result, this study found the criteria of French ancient building remodeling. The remodeling methods of an existing building vary in their goals and strategies depending on how the old architectural elements are persevered, as well as how new elements are added to form their unique characteristics. Thus, the remodeling methods are classified into four types based on causes: restoration, extension, renovation and rebuilding. Such methods are used jointly rather than individually. The ancient building remodeling is the process of recreating new functions and new artistic values to preserve the cultural and artistic values of existing historic buildings.

  • Unlike the previous approaches, we analyzed for economic efficiency of renewed heating and cooling systems as the characteristics of space. The purpose of this study is to analysis the energy consumption and economical efficiency of absorption chillers and EHP systems in renovated library. It is important that equipment selection should be considering energy cost as well as space program. In recently, many EHP systems were installed in the building for reducing the energy cost and for seeking the convenience of individual control. In contrast, though absorption chillers have the disadvantage of a central control, absorption chillers are appropriate for the conditions of the library that needs simultaneous operation. The results by payback period method, show that selection of heating and cooling systems should be consider for space program and the characteristics of space.

  • After the 1980s, as the economy was growing rapidly and the real estate market was active, a large increase in population was supplied to the city. Accordingly, the national apartment housing market is located in the form of Urban Housing Culture. On the other hand, with time, the supply apartment houses became superannuated and the residential environment became poor. Therefore, the environment of old apartment houses has been changed to improve by reconstruction. Despite this, reconstruction incurred not only a lot of construction waste, but also problems of environmental degradation, noise, traffic congestion, increasing number of households, and so on. Recently, the housing law has changed, and vertical extension remodeling focused on Small/Medium Town House is underway. This has been changed in response to the demand. This is one of essential parts in the remodeling field for the future, even though it has some problems in how uses existing buildings. Therefore, this study analyzed occurrence risk factor for each type through research materials and case analysis regarding the vertical extension remodeling of apartment housing. In addition, the relative importance was determined through questionnaires and interviews from constructors, designers, and experts in the field.

Comparing Performances of Factors for Reducing Energy at Deteriorated Elementary School Buildings (노후 초등학교 건물에너지 절감을 위한 요소기술의 성능 비교)

  • Faced with the international issue of environmental problems from global warming and energy consumption, the Korean Government has made many efforts on reducing energy and $CO_2$ emission under the motto of "Low-Carbon Green Growth". In order to reduce energy in the building sector, severe design standards and regulations on saving energy in new buildings have been established. Now, it is necessary to focus on deteriorated buildings where applications of energy saving designs and techniques have been insufficient, for maximizing energy saving in the building sector. Specially, it is very important to reduce energy through the remodeling process at deteriorated school buildings which were built over 20 years ago and sharply changed into the excessive energy consumption structure from new educational curricula. Thus, this paper examined the effects of potential factors to reduce energy at deteriorated elementary school buildings using the energy simulation on the Visual DOE 4.0 program. Among applied factors of insulations, southern louver, window's SHGC, indoor setup temperature, and system efficiency, all factors except window's SHGC turned out contribute to reduce energy at the deteriorated elementary school buildings, compared with the baseline energy performance.

Development of Economic Analysis Model for Rebuilding Feasibility Evaluation of Old School Building (노후 학교건물의 개축 타당성 평가를 위한 경제성 분석 모델 개발)

  • Although there are many old school buildings that is more than 40 years in Korea, it is difficult to rebuild all of them due to limitations in budget management. Therefore, objective feasibility evaluation criteria are necessary to determine which school buildings should be rebuilt preferentially among the numerous old school buildings. One of the rebuilding feasibility evaluation items, economic evaluation generally requires documents such as construction statements and facility drawings. However, because most buildings older than 40 years do not have these documents, an economic analysis model that requires only basic building information should be developed. In this study, the economic analysis model that can be used for evaluating the rebuilding feasibility only with the number of years, total floor area, and structural information of school buildings was established. This model can contribute to the objective feasibility evaluation of old school buildings because it can evaluate numerous buildings on the same criteria based on basic building information.

Update of Digital Map by using The Terrestrial LiDAR Data and Modified RANSAC (수정된 RANSAC 알고리즘과 지상라이다 데이터를 이용한 수치지도 건물레이어 갱신)

  • Recently, rapid urbanization has necessitated continuous updates in digital map to provide the latest and accurate information for users. However, conventional aerial photogrammetry has some restrictions on periodic updates of small areas due to high cost, and as-built drawing also brings some problems with maintaining quality. Alternatively, this paper proposes a scheme for efficient and accurate update of digital map using point cloud data acquired by Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS). Initially, from the whole point cloud data, the building sides are extracted and projected onto a 2D image to trace out the 2D building footprints. In order to register the footprint extractions on the digital map, 2D Affine model is used. For Affine parameter estimation, the centroids of each footprint groups are randomly chosen and matched by means of a modified RANSAC algorithm. Based on proposed algorithm, the experimental results showed that it is possible to renew digital map using building footprint extracted from TLS data.
