A Causal Model Analysis of the Family Health of Baby Boomer Parents and the Marital Preparation Skill of Eco-Boomer Children - Focusing on College-Aged Students - (베이비붐 부모세대의 가족건강성과 에코 자녀세대의 결혼생활준비기술에 대한 인과모형분석 - 대학생 자녀를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of the present study was to examine the causal effects of the family health of baby boomer parents as a determinant of marital preparation skills of eco-boomer children. Subjects in this study consisted of 475 students born before 1992, and whose parents were born from 1955 to 1963. The programs of SPSSWIN 18.0 and LISREL 8.51 were used for data analysis. The result of this study showed that the financial management skills of saving and consumption were the lowest of marital preparation skills of echo-boomer generation. Besides, baby boomer parents' family health perceived by their children was found to be the determinant of the marital preparation skills of eco-boomers. Particularly, the effect of family health was shown to be high on parental role skill, conflict resolution skill, and parenting preparation skill of marital preparation skills, whereas it was revealed to be relatively low on financial management skill. Findings of this study can be used in developing educational programs of marital preparation skills for eco-boomers.

  • This study aims to consider the criteria and signification of 'aging' constructed in media in Korean society that has entered aging society. For the purpose, this study analyzed KBS the representative TV health programs. According to the result, designs the measurable indexes of aging to rank the casts. And it emphasizes to the casts that cannot reach a certain level the support from medical experts or advanced medical technology. With such characteristics of individual text, this paper found the ideological codes of the health programs. They contrast the elderly who have achieved successful aging from those that have not. They define the aged who have not practiced self-management or medical control to prevent aging properly as failure and also make fun of them. They draw aging that was not regarded as some kind of disease in the past into the area of medicine. Besides, the medicalization of aging regarded as an object for treatment may come to strengthen the control of medical experts and also individualize social issues.

A Case Study of Health Information Service for Patient Users in Overseas Hospital Libraries (국외 병원도서관에서의 환자이용자를 위한 건강정보서비스 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications from the case of health information service for patients in overseas hospital libraries. A total of 89 overseas hospital libraries were selected, including general hospitals, specialized hospitals, women's hospitals, children's hospitals, and veterans' hospitals. The health information service that is provided in general and common in 89 hospital libraries was surveyed and the differentiated health information service was investigated next. As a result, first, it can be seen that the establishment of hospital libraries and the provision of health information services are common outside of Korea. Second, various human resources such as librarians, health information specialists, medical specialists, social workers, clinical librarians, health education specialists, and volunteers are utilized. Third, it provides not only print materials but also various information sources such as electronic materials, websites, pamphlets, brochures, and provides health information in various languages. Fourth, in providing health (information literacy) education and programs, services are provided through linkage with hospitals, local public libraries, and local communities. The implications for domestic hospital libraries are as follows: First, the change of awareness of the establishment of hospital libraries and the provision of health information services; second, the support of the curriculum and associations and the need for continuing education; third, it is necessary to link with related organizations for mandatory and diversification of health information services in hospital libraries.

The Relationship between Oral Health-Related Self-Efficacy and Quality of Life According to Smoking Experience of Chinese Students in Korea (중국인 유학생의 흡연경험에 따른 구강건강관련 자기효능감과 삶의 질의 융합적 관계)

  • In this study, a survey was conducted on Chinese students in a university in Busan, in order to investigate the relationship between oral health-related self-efficacy and quality of life according to smoking experience of Chinese students living in South Korea. The results of analyzing collected data with the SPSS 24.0 program showed that students without smoking experience had higher scores in brushing, oral health-related self-efficacy and oral health-related quality of life than those with smoking experience. Brushing self-efficacy was positively correlated with oral health-related self-efficacy, and oral health-related self-efficacy was positively correlated with oral health quality of life, which were all statistically significant. It was found that the presence or absence of smoking experience was associated with oral health promotion and improvement of quality of life in foreign students. Thus, the results of this study are expected to be used as basic data by conveying the necessity of developing oral health promotion programs for healthy living of foreign students.

Factors associated with internet health information seeking behavior of younger children's parents (영유아 부모의 인터넷 건강정보 추구행동 영향요인)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate factors associated with internet health information seeking behavior of younger children's parents. The subjects included 108 parents with infants and children, the survey was conducted with structured questionnaires about attitudes to internet health information, e-health literacy, and internet health information seeking behavior. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, and multiple regression analysis. As a results of the study, perceived usefulness and information utilization was founded to factors associated with internet health information seeking behavior of younger children's parents. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program to provide health information and manage utilization by considering the characteristics, usefulness, and information utilization of infants and their parents.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 보건소에서 시행중인 오프라인 비만관리 시스템을 벗어난 온라인으로도 효율적으로 참여자를 늘릴 수 있는 스마트폰의 GPS와 Accelerometer 센서를 이용한 실내외 운동과 식단관리를 통한 효율적이 비만관리 시스템을 설명한다. 이 시스템은 직장인, 비만계층처럼 오프라인 보건소 프로그램에 참가하기 힘들거나 자신감 결여로 참여가 힘든 계층에게 보건소의 프로그램과 동일한 프로그램을 온라인으로 제공하여 비용을 최소로 줄이고 최대의 효율을 가능하게 한다.

국내외 건강도시 네트워크 관련 조직의 운영 현황 및 지원 방향

  • 목적 : 국내외 건강도시 네트워크 관련 조직의 운영 현황을 분석함으로서 대한민국 건강도시협의회를 중심으로 한 국내 건강도시 네트워크의 활성화 방안과 지원 방안을 모색하고자 함. 방법 : 국내외 관련 자료의 수집을 위하여 38개 건강도시 담당자를 대상으로 2009년 4월 1일부터 4월 30일까지 1개월간 설문조사 및 담당자 면접조사를 실시함. 조사 결과는 SWOT 분석에 의하여 발전 방향을 제시하고자 함. 결과 : 국내 건강도시 응답률은 82.4%였음. 국내 건강도시는 사업 담당자의 역량 강화를 위한 교육 및 정보 교류를 위한 프로그램을 진행하고 있었고, 건강도시사업계획서를 76.3%가 작성하였음. 건강도시의 규모는 중소도시(시) 31%, 농어촌(군) 22%, 대도시(구) 47%로 조사됨. 건강도시사업 담당부서는 71%가 보건소이었으며, 건강도시업무 전담인력 보유 도시는 19%였음. 건강증진기금을 재원으로 활용하는 도시는 34%에 불과하였음. 국외 현황으로는 브라질에서는 건강도시 관련 석사과정을 운영하고 있었으며, 국가별로 추진 방법이 상이함을 알 수 있었음. 결론 : 우리나라는 2007년도부터 건강도시협의회가 설립되어 운영되고 있고, 정부에서는 2008년도부터 교육훈련 비용 및 전담인력을 지원하고 있었음. 그러나 사업을 추진 중인 자체단체는 아직 예산의 부족과 전담인력의 부족, 그리고, 보건소를 중심으로 한 사업 추진으로 인하여 본 청사와의 갈등 등이 있었음. 향후 건강도시사업을 위한 지침서 개발, 정부의 예산 지원 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났음.

  • It should be given the opportunity to acquire information about the health of infants for a new type of way of life with the passage of time, of which the internet is a lot of people are required to use the media in the modern world. So, we want to find out the status of kindergarten teachers' internet utilizing and how to utilize the internet health information on field. The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of improvement. We produce this research based on a precedent study about perception and actual condition of health information utilizing. The objects of this study are 180 kindergarten teachers working in Dae-jeon and most of them have experience of searching health information through internet. The collected data calculated frequency and percentage with SPSS 18.0 program. As a result, first, kindergarten teachers think the information of infants' health is relatively important, still they obtain it from the Internet. But they feel a difficulty in finding the proper information because it takes so much time. Second, they utilize the Internet whenever necessary to find health information and they could find it. However, health information obtained from the Internet, have not been unexpectedly useful. Therefore, training about the content of infant's health and utilizing method of internet health information is needed.

The Influence of Health Literacy and Social-Support on Medication Adherence in Eldery with Chronic Disease (만성질환노인의 건강정보이해능력, 사회적지지가 약물복용이행에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The study was done to investigate the correlation among health literacy, social support and medication adherence in elderly with chronic diseases. Method: Participants were 100 patients with chronic diseases in two small hospitals in J do H. A structured questionnaires was used to measure the study variables from July 14, 2017 to August 14, 2017. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Spearman correlation coefficient, and Multiple regression by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Result: Medication adherence and health literacy were positively correlated(r=.398, p<.001), Medication adherence and social support were positively correlated (r=.453, p<.001) and health literacy and social support were positively correlated(r=.731, p<.001). The factors influencing on medication adherance are Experience of adverse drug effect. The explanation is that medication adherence is total 25.9%(F=3.91, p<.001). Conclusion: Thus this suggests that in order to enhance medication adherence of the elderly with chronic diseases, educational programs are needed for offering customized medical information considering unique characteristics of the area and objects.

A Study on the Services of Senior Programs in Public Libraries: Compared with the Senior Programs in Senior Welfare Centers (공공도서관에서 제공하는 노인대상 교육프로그램에 관한 연구 - 노인종합복지관과 비교하여 -)

  • This study was conducted to grasp senior education programs with the purpose of providing senior education services and researching program development of public libraries for elderly population of an aging society. Senior education programs provided by 33 Senior Welfare Centers and 41 public libraries in Seoul were compared in terms of, 6 subjects such as health, literacy/education, information education, death preparation education, hobbies and employment/volunteer. The Senior Welfare Center provided much more senior programs, whereas the public libraries appeared that the number of institutions participating in senior services was very few, and the program provision for elderly population appeared to be extremely insufficient. A specific course schedule of the program of 'making of a happiness map' of death preparation education, which is one theme among them, was developed.
