  • In recent years, much progress has been made in the automation of welding coped with a variety of highly flexible sensors. Among these sensors, only the eddy current sensor can detect the center location of the butt joint whose gap distance is zero. Thus, in this study the eddy current sensor is used to develop a robust and useful joint tracking system. The developed system is tested to qualify the performance of the system and seam tracking algorithm is proposed and two simulation are executed to show the performance of the proposed tracking algorithm.

  • The spindle is a very important part of machine tool. The evaluation of spindle motion is required for improving the performance of machine tools. The evaluation tools have been developed for precison spindle by the reversal technique, and 3D error map motion of spindle is proposed. This technique makes us understand the total movement of spindle more easily. The proposed technique has been successfully applied to practical machine tools, giving high potentials for the spindle performance measurement.

  • 본 논문은 자기부상 제어기를 위한 모니터링 시스템 개발을 다루고 있다. 본 모니터링 시스템으로 자기부상 제어용 Man-Machine Interface를 구축하여 부상 안정성을 평가할 수 있다. 이는 각종 센서들로부터 감지되어 온 부상 갭과 가속도 그리고 제어 전류 등의 상태를 확인할 수 있으며 제어 게인들을 업로드하고 제어 게인들을 재설정하여 제어기로 다운로드할 수 있는 통합 모니터링 시스템이다.

  • In metal cutting, the machining accuracy is more affected by thermal errors than by geometric errors. This paper models of the thermal errors for error analysis and develops on-the-machine measurement system by which the volumetric error are measured and compensated. The thermal error is modeled by means of angularity errors of a column and thermal drift error of the spindle unit which are measured by the touch probe unit with a star type styluses, a designed spherical ball artifact, and five gap sensors. In order to analyze the thermal characteristics under several operating conditions, experiments performed with the touch probe unit and five gap sensors on the vertical and horizontal machining centers.

  • One of the major limitations of productivity and quality in metal cutting is the machining accuracy of machine tools. The machining accuracy is affected by geometric and thermal errors of the machine tools. In this study, the compensation device is manufactured in order to compensate thermal error of machine tools under the real-time. This paper models of the thermal errors for error analysis and develops on-the-machine measurement system by which the volumetric error are measured and compensated. The thermal error is modeled by means of angularity errors of a column and thermal drift error of the spindle unit which are measured by the touch probe unit with a star type styluses, a designed spherical ball artifact, and five gap sensors. In order to compensate thermal characteristics under several operating conditions, experiments performed with five gap sensors and manufactured compensation device on the horizontal machining center.

  • It is important to measure the rotational accuracy of NC lathe spindle as it affects to the qualities of all machines machined by the NC lathe using in industries. The bad rotational accuracy of NC lathe spindle are caused mainly by wearness of the spindle in using and quality of spindle when machining and using low level bearings. It occurs especially in case of NC lathes because the cutting force acting to work-piece act on one side to the spindle not to both sides symmetrically. Therefore in this study, constructing experimental appratus for measuring of rotational accuracy by using eddy current type gap sensors, converters, screw terminal, data acquisition board inserted in computer and software f3r data acquisition, DT VEE ver. 5.0 and then error data acquired in the rotational accuracy test of NC lathe spindle are analysed in plots and statistical treatments.

  • ZnO는 넓은 밴드갭(3.37 eV)를 가지기 때문에 UV detector로 유용하게 쓰일 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 Graphene 위에 ZnO nanorod를 hydrothermal 방법을 사용하여 성장한 후 Graphene 위에 전극을 형성한 후 UV 센서를 제작하였다. Si의 기판위에 SiO2의 막을 증착을 하고 그 위에 Graphene을 전도시킨다. Graphene위에 ZnO nanorod의 성장을 위해서 ZnO seed layer를 sputtering 방법으로 얇게 증착을 시킨다. ZnO nanorod의 성장은 hydrothermal의 방법으로 Zinc nitrate hexahydrate와 암모니아를 수용액에 넣은 후 $80^{\circ}C$에서 성장하였다. Graphene 위에 ZnO가 없는 부분에 전극을 형성하여 UV의 세기에 따른 IV 전기적 특성의 변화를 관측한다.

이산화티타늄($TiO_2$)의 Anatase상에 따른 가스감응 특성의 영향

  • TiO2는 3가지의 결정구조를 가지고 있으며 결정 입자, 구조, 상의 형태에 따라서 성질 및 기능에 영향을 주고 있다. anatase상의 애너지 밴드갭과 전자와의 재결합 확률이 크기 때문에 Rutile상 보다 우수한 성질을 갖고 있어 산화물 반도체로 이용하는 것이 적합하다. 본 실험에서는 나노로드의 TiO2를 수열처리법에 의해 합성한 후 박막을 제조하여 감응특성을 조사하였다. X선 회절분석기(X-Ray Diffraction)로 분석결과 ph=1의 루타일상을 제외하고, pH=2~7의 더 넓은 구간에서 뚜렷한 회절피크의 anatase 상이 나타났으며 다른 비정질상이 발생되지 않는 결정성이 좋은 단결정임이 나타났다. NaOH solution 을 이용하여 수열처리후 $180^{\circ}C$이상의 특정 온도 구간에서 수십 나노 로드 형태로의 2차 성장된 모습을 TEM과 EDS로 결정구조와 화학조성을 분석하였다. 그리고 BET 측정을 통해 $180^{\circ}C$의 소성온도에서 TiO2 입자의 비표면적이 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 나노로드의 수용액을 Al2O3기판의 감지막 위에 떨어뜨려 네트워크된 막을 형성한후에 센서를 제작하였다. 히터 전압이 $400^{\circ}C$에서 나노 파우더센서에서는 반응이 일어나지 않은 반면, 나노 로드센서는 CH3SH에서 28% 의 높은 감도를 얻었고, Toluene의 반응에서는 15%의 감도가 나타났다. 그 외 NO, CO, H2등의 측정에서 아무런 반응이 일어나지 않았다. 이는 비교적 기공이 큰분자(Size)를 가진 CH3SH=76nm, Toluene=60nm에서 반응이 일어난 반면, H2=28nm, CO=22nm에서 감도가 나타나지 않은 것을 보아 흡착분자크기에 의한 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다.
