A Method of Generating Code Implementation Model for UML State Diagrams (UML 상태 다이어그램을 위한 코드 구현 모델의 생성 방법)

  • This paper presents a method to generate a model of the code implementation for UML state diagrams. First, it promotes the states of a state machine into objects, and then it structures the behavior model on the mechanism of a state diagram based on State design pattern. Then, it establishes the rules of generating the code implementation, and using the rules, the Java code mode is generated for the implementations of State Diagrams in Java syntax grammar. In addition, Structuring the information of the code model is necessary for generating Java code automatically. The meta information is composed of Meta-Class Model and Meta-Behavior Model, on which we could construct the automatic code generating engine for UML State Diagrams. The implementation model generation method presented in this paper could be used as a stand-alone engine, or included and integrated as a module in the UML tools.

  • Nowadays, XML has been favored by many companies internally and externally as a means of sharing and distributing data, due to its open-architectural structure. XML-GL, a graphical query language for document has the advantage of containing both structuring and defining of itself. By incorporating UML an XML document can become object-oriented and can be represented by graphical means. This paper proposes a XML-GL query modeling solution by using UML class diagrams. In order for the modeled objects to be properly restricted, the Object Constraint Language has been defined. This process converts XML documents into Object-Oriented data and combined with UML class diagrams, searches for XML documents can be increased.

  • The purpose of this study is 3 dimensional modeling of lower part of drilling system in offshore rig and simulation of drilling process. Recently, shipbuilding companies have been focusing on offshore rigs due to their high added-value and the reduced demand of new shipbuilding. In most cases, however, the basic design, installation and management of offshore rig are carried out by foreign companies. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain the knowledge and information of drilling system. In this study drilling devices, BOP(Blowout Preventor) and cementing job and mud circulation related components are included as the main components of offshore rig. The structure and function of them were analyzed from a viewpoint of object-oriented technique. On the basis of this analysis they were modeled in the 3 dimensional structure with 3D software tool such as CATIA and 3DVIA Composer. The drilling process was simulated according to the scenario of drilling operation. This simulation system can be effectively used for an educational tool for students and engineers in ocean plant industries.

  • XML documents used for exchanging structured documents between heterogeneous distributed systems are spreading among B2B and the industrial world rapidly. This condition brings an object-oriented visualization tool for modeling XML documents. It is hard to apply for DTD - the rule for declaring document type, which is employed in XML, to various industrial field. Thus, W3C announced Recommendation for XML Schema - the rule for declaring new document type which is adaptable to XML and satisfy to user. Document Type which has high reusability and flexibility can be defined owing to that XML Schema is designed by utilization of Object-Oriented-Modelling technique(UML). This document is proposed the specification and an algorithm for mapping XML Schema to UML.

  • 최근에 사용자 행태 분석 개념이 매우 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 하지만 SE(Software Engineering)와 HCI(Human-Computer Interaction) 두 분야의 틈으로 HCI 관점의 시스템 모델링을 위한 적절한 모델링 언어나 도구가 부족하다. 그리고 원시 데이터를 분석하여 사용자 행위를 모델링하는 것은 실제로 어려운 작업이다. 이 논문에서는 목적(Goal)지향의 사용자 행위 분석을 통해 객체를 식별하고, 추출한 공통/비공통 행위를 기반으로 시스템을 모델링 하고자 UBA(User Behavior Analysis)방법론을 제안한다. 그리고 유비쿼터스 환경의 홈 네트워크 인터페이스 모델을 적용 사례로 언급하였다.

  • 소프트웨어 설계와 관련하여 OMG의 UML은 객체지향모델링에 대해서 표준화된 언어에 지원이 가능하여 널리 사용되고 있다. 그리고 마크업언어로는 일반적으로 DTD와 XML 스키마를 많이 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 클레스내의 단위 엘리먼트의 속성을 부여할 수 있고 모델내의 클래스의 관계를 표현할 수 있는 수퍼클래스와 서브클래스에 대한 정확한 타입의 속성을 표현할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 엘리먼트에 대한 어트리뷰트를 표현하는데 다양하고 세부적인 데이터타입이 지원되도록 하여 XMI 메타모델 기반의 메타데이타 생성이 가능한 도구를 설계/구현 하였다.

  • UML is an object-oriented development methodology to graphically modeling, a software system, We are developed UML, graphics editor and its generating various design objects during software development cycle. Its design object compose of semantics information and View information manage using of RDBMS. Extant tools supporting UDML. however, it does not have an explicit format to describe and interchange its design abject intentionally, In this thesis, to overcome the drawback, the UML design object interchange and presents our efforts to make UML design objects highly interoperable. We developed an interchange format called UDXF(UML Design object exchange Format) based on XML UDXF is a simple and well-structured format to encode UML design objects. It leverages the tool interoperability, team development and reuse of design objects by interchanging the model information with the XML standard. Also, we propose design object repository manager for design object of UDXF format.

  • Nowadays, XML has been favored by many companies internally and externally as a means of sharing and distributing data. there are many researches and systems for modeling and storing XML documents by an object-oriented method as for the method of saving and managing web-based multimedia document more easily. The representative tool for the object-oriented modeling of XML documents is UML (Unified Modeling Language). UML at the beginning was used as the integrated methodology for software development, but now it is used more frequently as the modeling language of various objects. Currently, UML supports various diagrams for object-oriented analysis and design like class diagram and is widely used as a tool of creating various database schema and object-oriented codes from them. This paper proposes an Efficinet Query Modelling of XML-GL using the UML class diagram and OCL for searching XML document which its application scope is widely extended due to the increased use of WWW and its flexible and open nature. In order to accomplish this, we propose the modeling rules and algorithm that map XML-GL. which has the modeling function for XML document and DTD and the graphical query function about that. In order to describe precisely about the constraint of model component, it is defined by OCL (Object Constraint Language). By using proposed technique creates a query for the XML document of holding various properties of object-oriented model by modeling the XML-GL query from XML document, XML DTD, and XML query while using the class diagram of UML. By converting, saving and managing XML document visually into the object-oriented graphic data model, user can prepare the base that can express the search and query on XML document intuitively and visually. As compared to existing XML-based query languages, it has various object-oriented characteristics and uses the UML notation that is widely used as object modeling tool. Hence, user can construct graphical and intuitive queries on XML-based web document without learning a new query language. By using the same modeling tool, UML class diagram on XML document content, query syntax and semantics, it allows consistently performing all the processes such as searching and saving XML document from/to object-oriented database.

  • 인터넷 상에서의 다양한 멀티미디어 응용 및 정보 서비스의 요구가 급증하게 되고, 이에 따른 효율적인 운영 및 서비스에 대한 표준 기술의 개발 또한 활발히 진행되게 되었다. 이에 1998년 W3C(World Wide Web Consortium)에서 웹 기반 동기화 된 멀티미디어 통합 언어인 SMIL이 제안되었다. 선언적 마크업 언어인 XML(eXtended Markup Language)에 기반을 둔 SMIL은 웹 상에서의 멀티미디어 프리젠테이션을 위한 다양한 기능들을 제공하지만, SMIL 또한 HTML(HyperText Language)과 같은 태그 기반 마크업 언어이므로 각 태그의 사용법을 숙지하여 텍스트 편집기를 이용한 비효율적인 저작에 치중되어 있었다. 이에 SMIL 응용업무에서의 효율적 활용을 위한 SMIL 전용 저작도구의 필요성이 대두되었고, 국내외에서의 활발한 연구 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 UML(Unified Modeling Language) 표기법에 기반 한 객체지향 모델링 툴을 사용하여 체계적인 소프트웨어 설계에 따른 SMIL 저작도구를 구현하였다. 템플릿 기능의 지원으로 효율적이고 편리한 SMIL 컨텐츠 생성을 위하여 인턴넷 망(network)의 대역폭에 따른 저작이 가능하도록 구현되었으며, 미리 보기 기능을 활용한 멀티미디어 데이터의 직관적이 운영을 지원하도록 구현하였다.

Web-based Research Assistant Tools for Analysis of Microbial Diversity (미생물 다양성 분석을 위한 웹기반의 생물정보도구 개발)

  • The study of available genotypes (biodiversity analysis) in bacterial communities is of growing importance in several fields such as ecology, environmental technology, clinical diagnostics, etc. These culture-independent genotyping techniques, especially amplifying 16S rRNA genes, attempt to overcome some shortcomings of conventional cultivation method. Biodiversity analysis based on molecular technique were laborious for base-calling chromatogram, trimming primer sites, correcting strand directions, electing representative operation taxonomic units (OTU), etc. Also, biologists wanted intuitively to confirm results of the above processes. For making up these demands, we developed the web application based on Folder-Process-Filter (FPF) modeling with correspondence to classical Model-View-Controller model. The model of web application leads to keep virtues of simplicity and directness for development and management of the stepwise web interfaces. The web application was developed in Perl and CGI on Linux workstation. It can be freely accessed from http://home.pusan.ac.kr/~genome/tools/rat.htm.
