  • Federated Learning (FL) has emerged as a potent methodology for decentralized model training across multiple collaborators, eliminating the need for data sharing. Although FL is lauded for its capacity to preserve data privacy, it is not impervious to various types of privacy attacks. Differential Privacy (DP), recognized as the golden standard in privacy-preservation techniques, is widely employed to counteract these vulnerabilities. This paper makes a specific contribution by applying an existing, task-specific adaptive DP mechanism to the FL environment. Our comprehensive analysis evaluates the impact of this mechanism on the performance of a shared global model, with particular attention to varying data distribution and partitioning schemes. This study deepens the understanding of the complex interplay between privacy and utility in FL, providing a validated methodology for securing data without compromising performance.

  • Main drivers of knowledge activities such as knowledge sharing and utilization are individual members of an organization and thus knowledge management strategies should be discussed in relationships with human resource management. This study analyzes the effects on knowledge sharing and knowledge utilization of human resource management practices such as training, participation in decision-making, performance appraisal and compensation system in local government. The results show that training and performance appraisal and compensation system are significantly influential factors for the knowledge sharing and knowledge utilization. Lessons and implications of this study for management leadership are presented.

  • A Widget platform is acknowledged to be a next generation intelligent platform that is well suited to Web 2.0 and mobile convergence environments. With prospects of growth, examining users' perceptions of current widgets can be a valuable source of information in setting directions for Widget's future development. This study identifies user interface factors that affect widget usability and investigates a strategic approach to promoting the use of widgets by analyzing user's "intention to use" in connection with the identified interface factors. The experimental results show the consistency, intuition, minimal action, and personalization have a positive(+) effect on perceived ease of use and that personalization and design have a causal effect on perceived enjoyment. Inaddition, perceived ease of use has an influence on perceived enjoyment that, inturn, has a direct influence on intention to use. On the other hand, the hypothesis that perceived ease of use has a direct effect on intention to use was rejected.

The Person-organization Fit and the Person-job Fit of Public Officials in Charge of Social Welfare Impact on Job Enthusiasm: Focused on the Mediation Effect of Organizational Committment (사회복지전담공무원의 개인-조직적합성과 개인-직무적합성이 직무열의에 미치는 영향: 조직몰입의 매개효과)

  • In this paper, we wanted to look at the effects of person-organization fit and person-job fit of social welfare officials on the job enthusiasm, but also examine the mediated effect of organizational committment. The study found that person-job fit has a positive effect on the job enthusiasm of public officials in charge of social welfare, and that the mediating effect of organizational committment is also partially covered. However, person-organization fit does not have a direct impact on job enthusiasm, but has been shown to have a full mediated effect through organizational committment. As a result of these studies, social welfare officials are judged to lack consistency and affinity within the organization, while their individual abilities, purposes, and demands are in line with their duties and job enthusiasm for their duties. Therefore, it is necessary to provide support at the organizational level and to create a sense of unity in order to enhance the job enthusiasm of public officials in charge of social welfare.

  • We develope plasma monitoring system which detect plasma signals and store them for Laser welding quality evaluation and analysis using photo detector. The most fundamental and important aspects in such a system are signal restoration fidelity, noise immunity and noise cancelation capability. In this paper, we propose implementation method using distribute processing structure and hybrid digital communication for high noise cancelation capability, immunity and signal fidelity which are poorly presented in other researches. Lab experimental results and welding experimental results show a effectiveness of proposed method and plasma data is stored with 256 kbps without any communication error. we are implementing various welding defect recognition algorithm in this system.

The Effects of Voters' Perception of Television News Coverage of Election Poll Results on Political Participation Intention (텔레비전 선거 여론조사 보도의 영향에 대한 수용자 인식이 정치적 행동의향에 미치는 영향)

  • The current study examined the effects of the voters' perception of television news coverage of election poll results on their political participation intention. 700 voters participated in a telephone interview three weeks before the 2012 Korean presidential election. A structural equation modeling with the nationally representative sample was performed. The findings indicate the respondents were more likely to evaluate television news coverage of election poll results negatively when the news coverage presented that the candidate they supported was behind in the race, and the negative evaluation was linked to a greater third-person perception. The third-person perception, in turn, had an indirect effect on political participation intention through negative emotional responses. The results imply that voters' political position influences their perception of the television news coverage of election poll results, and this perception can have indirect effects on political participation.

An Empirical Study on Factors Affecting the University Students' Software Piracy Intention (대학생들의 S/W 불법복제 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, software piracy is one of the serious crimes for the digital materials. It makes economically devasting to the software industry and the market. In particular, it is a widespread phenomenon among university students in Korea and negative affects in measuring social and cultural level. Many studies have been focused on the users' intention of the software piracy for making anti-piracy policy. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting university students' software piracy intention. The survey includes responses from 271 university students in a school of business adminstration. The research model was estimated with multiple regression. The analysis showed results that user's characteristics, subjective norms, and perceived software quality were significantly related to intention of software piracy, but security policy was not. Perceived importance of intellectual property has negative impact on user's software piracy intention. Based on the findings, we suggest the implications for developing and implementing appropriate policies for anti-piracy.

Analysis of employee's characteristic using data visualization (데이터 시각화를 이용한 취업자 특성분석)

  • The fundamental concerns of this paper are to analyze the effects of some characteristics on the employment of new college graduated students in viewpoint of data visualization. We use individual and department characteristic data of K-university graduated students in 2010. We apply multiple correspondence analysis, decision tree analysis, association rules and social network analysis for data visualization. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows. First, an analysis of the determinants of employment shows that GPA, department category, age and number of majors, recruiting time affect the employment rate. Second, higher GPA and natural category of department positively affect the employment rate. Finally, low age, single major and early recruiting time also positively affect the employment rate.

  • 오늘날은 정보의 홍수라고 표현이 될 만큼 많은 양의 정보를 어디서나 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 많은 양의 정보 중 사람들은 그들이 필요한 정보를 얻기 위하여 인터넷을 사용하며 대부분의 사용자들이 포털 사이트의 검색 서비스를 통하여 그들이 원하는 정보를 검색하고 얻고 있다. 그러나 전통적인 여과 과정을 통해 검증된 인쇄 자원과는 다르게 인터넷상에 있는 자원은 대부분 여과되어 있다고 볼 수 없다. 인터넷상에서 발견되는 정보가 주로 여과되지 않은 상태라는 점을 이해하는 것도 정보를 얻는 사용자 입장에서 매우 중요하다. 그런 의미에서 웹에서는 제공되는 정보에 대한 선정, 조직화, 검색에 대한 표준화가 아직 없기 때문에, 단순히 웹 검색 엔진을 이용한 검색의 결과만을 통해서 원하는 정보를 찾는 것은 쉽 지가 않다(Spink et al, 1999). 비록 원하던 정보를 얻었다 해도 획득한 정보가 신뢰할 만한 것인지를 판단하기가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 요구에 부응하기 위해 검색 서비스에 대한 사용자 선호 요인을 선별하고 설문 조사를 통해 검증하고자 한다. 본 연구는 크게 문헌 연구와 실증 연구로 구별되며, 실증 분석에서는 검색 서비스를 사용해 본 경험이 있는 인터넷 사용자를 대상으로 설문을 인터넷 사이트와 설문지를 배부하는 형식으로 진행하여, 통계 패키지를 이용 결과를 분석하였다. 문헌 연구에 따르면 인터넷 사이트를 사용하는데 있어서, 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 인지된 유용성, 흥미성, 시스템 품질, UI의 편의성이 있으며 본 연구에서도 이러한 요인을 중심으로 연구 모형을 정하였다. 이러한 요인들에 대하여 가설을 정해 실증 분석을 한 결과, 기본적으로 검색 서비스에 대한 인지된 유용성과 UI의 편의성은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 흥미 성, 시스템 품질은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 정보 품질과 시스템 품질의 결과는 유의 수준에서 크게 넘어가지 않는 결과가 나와 반드시 영향을 미치지 못하는 것은 아니라고 조사되었다. 본 연구는 검색 서비스라는 특정 서비스에 대해서 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 이는 학문적인 측면에서 기존의 통합적인 웹사이트 평가에 대한 연구의 확장을 가능케 하였고, 개인사용자 측면에서는 좀더 좋은 정보를 제공하는 검색 서비스에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 계기가 되었다고 할 수 있다.

  • 최근 e-러닝의 확산 속도에 따른 많은 문제점도 발생되고 있으며 그중 가장 큰 이슈가 e-러닝 사이트에 대한 평가인데 즉, 제공하는 사이트의 서비스품질이 사용자들에게 얼마만큼의 성과를 통한 만족을 가져다 줄 수 있는지에 대한 문제이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 e-러닝의 사업 분류 중 일반인과 학생을 교육대상으로 하는 B2C e-러닝 사이트의 서비스품질 결정요인이 개인성과, 사용자만족, 재이용의향 등에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하고자 한다. 이러한 연구목적에 따른 결과를 토대로 e-러닝 사이트의 벤더가 사용자들에게 고품질의 서비스를 제공하기 위해 최우선적으로 고려해야 할 요인들과 전략적 시사점을 제시하여 실제적인 e-러닝의 활성화에 기여하고자 한다.
