  • This paper proposes a novel method with pseudo-on-line scheme using look-up table based on the genetic algorithm. The technique is a pseudo-on-line method that optimally estimate the parameters of fuzzy PID(FPID) controller for systems with non-linearity using the genetic algorithm which does not use the gradient and finds the global optimum of an un-constraint optimization problem. The proposed controller(GFPID) is applied to speed control of 3-phase induction motor and its computer simulation is carried out. Simulation results show that the proposed method is more excellent than conventional FPID and PID controllers.

  • 본 연구에서는 실내의 활동추적 시스템을 위해 가속도센서와 지자계 센서를 이용하여 외부로부터 독립적인 소형의 관성항법장치를 제안하였다. 기존의 실내 위치추적은 주로 GNSS(global navigation satellite system)의 정보를 가져와 실내 환경에 맞게 초음파와 RSSI(received signal strength indicator)등을 이용하여 구성한 경우가 연구되었으나 이러한 위성항법은 좌표 값이 미리 저장된 고정 노드가 필수적이라는 단점이 있다.

  • Development of stabilized enzyme was attempted for cosmetic applications. Papain, a proteolytic enzyme, was stabilized through conjugation with a soluble carbohydrate biopolymer, SC-glucan$^{TM}$ . With a novel structure of the conjugation site, stability of the enzyme was significantly enhanced such that more than 90% of the initial activity retained after a month storage at 45$^{\circ}C$, while no activity were detected in native enzyme or enzyme simply mixed with SC-glucan$^{TM}$ after the storage. Conjugation with SC-glucan$^{TM}$ not only extended the half-life of the enzyme on storage at higher temperature, but was also found to protect enzymes against some components contained in cosmetic products for skin care. Cosmetic lotion containing 1 % papain conjugate was more effective and less irritative in exfoliating stratum corneum of human skin than the lotion containing 5% lactic acid, one of the current popular exfoliating agents.gents.

  • The Cho-yeon Pavilion located in the Wangdae village in Samcheong-ri, Songgwang-myeon, Suncheon-si, was transformed into a place of refuge, a shrine, a vacation home, a lecture hall for kings. Based on the change, the current study has explored the periodic changing placeness and the transformation of cultural landscape and has figured out the meaning. The result of this study is as follows. First, "Cho-yeon", named by Yeonjae Song, Byeong-Seon, originated from Tao Te Ching of Lao Tzu. The concept is found not only in the Cho-yeon Pavilion in Suncheon but also in various places, such as, the Cho-yeon-dae in Pocheon, of the Cho-yeon-dae in Gapyeong, of the Cho-yeon-dae of the embankment behind the Gioheon of Changdeok-gung Garden, Cho-Yeon-Mul-Oe old buildings, including Jung(亭), Dae(臺), Gak(閣), of Ockriukag in Yuseong, etc. This shows that taoistic Poongrhu was naturally grafted onto confucian places, which is one of the examples of the fusion of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Second, the placeness of the Cho-yeon Pavilion area is related to a legend that King Gong-min sought refuge here at the end of the Koryo Dynasty. The legend is based on the Wangdae village(king's region), Yu-Gyeong(留京)(the place where kings stayed), rock inscription of Wang-Dae-Sa-Jeok, Oh-Jang-Dae (the place where admiral flags were planted), and the Mohusan Mountain. Third, the Cho-yeon Pavilion not only has a base(the vacation home) that reflects confucian values from the rock inscription(趙鎭忠別業, 趙秉翼, 宋秉璿) of the beautiful rock walls and torrents but also has territoriality as taoistic Abode of the Immortals (there are places where people believe taoist hermits with miraculous powers live within 1km of the pavillion: Wol-Cheong(月靑), Pung-Cheong(風靑), Su-Cheong(水靑), Dong-Cheon(洞天). The Cho-yeon Pavilion also reflects the heaven of Neo-Confucianism for, pursuing study, and improving aesthetic sense by expanding its outer area and establishing the nine Gok: Se-Rok-Gyo(洗鹿橋)., Bong-Il-Dae(捧日臺), Ja-Mi-Gu(紫薇鳩), Un-Mae-Dae(雲梅臺), Wa-Ryong-Chong(臥龍叢), Gwang-Seok-Dae(廣石臺), Eun-Seon-Gul(隱仙窟), Byeok-Ok-Dam(碧玉潭), and Wa-Seok-Po(臥石布). In sum, the Cho-yeon Pavilion is a complex cultural landscape. Fourth, the usage of the Cho-yeon Pavilion was expanded and transformed: (1)Buddhist monastery${\rightarrow}$(2)Confucian vacation home${\rightarrow}$(3)Vacation home+Taoistic Poongrhu Place${\rightarrow}$(4)Vacation Home+Taoistic Poongrhu Place+Lecture Hall(the heaven of Neo-Confucianism). To illustrate, in 7978, the place served as Buddist Monk Kwang-Sa's monastery; in 1863, Cho, Jin-Choong established a vacation home by building a shrine in front of the tomb of his ancestor; in 1864, Cho, Jae-Ho expanded its usage to a vacation home to serve ancestors as a taoistic place by repairing the pavilion with roof tiles; and after 1890, Cho, Jun-Sup received the name of the pavilion, Cho-yeon, from his teacher Song, Byeong-Seon, and used the Pavilion for a lecture hall.

  • The results of study on the meaning landscape and environmental design techniques of the Byulup, Yoohoedang garden(Hageowon) based on the story in the collection of Kwon Yi-jin (Yoohoedangjip, 有懷堂集), are as below. First, Yoohoedang Kwon Yi-jin (有懷堂 權以鎭 : 1668~1734) constructed a Byulup garden consisting of ancestor grave, Byulup, garden, and a school, through 3 steps for 20 years in the back hill area of Moosoo-dong village, south of Mountain Bomun in Daejeon. In other words, he built the Byulup(別業, Yoohoedang) by placing his father's grave in the back hill of the village, and then constructed Yoegeongam(餘慶菴) and Geoupjae(居業齋) for protection of the pond(Napoji, 納汚池), garden(Banhwanwon, 盤桓園), and ancestor graves, and descendants' studying in the middle stage. He built an extension in Yoohoedang and finally completed the large-size garden (Hageowon) by extending the east area. Second, in terms of geomancy sense, Yoohoedang Byulup located in Moosoo-dong village area is the representative example including all space elements such as main living house (the head family house of Andong Kwon family), Byulup (Yoohoedang), ancestor graves, Hagoewon (garden) and Yoegeongam (cemetery management and school) which byulup type Byulseo should be equipped with. Thirdly, there are various meaning landscape elements combining the value system of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism value, including; (1) remembering parents, (2) harmonious family, (3) integrity, (4) virtue, (5) noble personality, (6) good luck, (7) hermit life, (8) family prosperity and learning development, (9) grace from ancestors, (10) fairyland, (11) guarding ancestor graves, and (12) living ever-young. Fourth, after he arranged ancestor graveyard in the back of the village, he used surrounding natural landscapes to construct Hagoewon garden with water garden consisting of 4 mountain streams and 3 ponds for 13 years, and finally completed a beautiful fairyland with 5 platforms, 3 bamboo forests, as well as the Seokgasan(石假山, artificial hill). Fifth, he adopted landscape plantation (28 kinds; pine, maple, royal azalea, azalea, persimmon tree, bamboo, willow, pomegranate tree, rose, chinensis, chaenomeles speciosa, Japanese azalea, peach tree, lotus, chrysanthemum, peony, and Paeonia suffruticosa, etc.) to apply romance from poetic affection, symbol and ideal from personification, as well as plantation plan considering seasonal landscapes. Landscape rocks were used by intact use of natural rocks, connecting with water elements, garden ornament method using Seokyeonji and flower steps, and mountain Seokga method showing the essence of landscape meanings. In addition, waterscape are characterized by active use of water considering natural streams and physio-graphic condition (eastern valley), ecological corridor role that rhythmically connects each space of the garden and waterways following routes, landscape meaning introduction connecting 'gaining knowledge by the study of things' values including Hwalsoodam(活水潭, pond), Mongjeong(蒙井, spring), Hosoo(濠水, stream), and Boksoo(?水, stream), and sensuous experience space construction with auditory and visualization using properties of landscape matters.

  • Gocheong Seogee is a Confucian scholar in the mid-Joseon period during which Confucian philosophy is not completely established as a national discipline. He was an authentic Seon-bi who helped boost Confusion philosophy in southern and northern parts of Chungcheong area including Daejeon, Nonsan, Gongjoo, Buyeo, Hongseong, Jochiwon as well as Boryeong and Dangjin. Following Seogee, Jangsaeng Kim, who had studied under Yulgok, strived to firm up Giho Confusion philosophy there. Influenced by his teacher Geeham Lee's pragmatical school whose main principle is loyal to their country and affectionate to their people, Seogee set his heart on living up to the same path as previous holy men had gone through rather than pursuing an overly speculative school only focused on Confucian scriptures. He seems to have put the virtues of pragmatic Confusion scholars into practice in accordance with the way Confucius and Mencius devoted themselves to their study and learning. He carried Hyangyak into effect, built the first Seowon in Chungnam area called Chunghyeon Seowon emulating Zhu Xi's Baeklokdong Seowon, and paid close attention to learning with Zhu Xi's portrait enshrined. Those things attest that he eagerly strive to put Confucianism into practice. Through these efforts, he gave a significant influence on establishing Confusion philosophy in southern and northern parts of Chungcheong area and trained lots of disciples like Leechang Song, Jaemoon Min - the teacher of Choryeo Yootae Lee - and so on. As a result, he laid a big foundation stone to develop Confusion culture in Naepo region. Therefore, his position should seem to be re-evaluated in Korean Confucian history. In a rigidly hierarchical social structure, he studied and interacted alongside with Geeham Lee, Heon Jo, Ikpeel Song, Sik Jo, and others with no thought of their lower social status and without any academic prejudices. These kinds of his mind-set and attitudes seem to be a precious example of embodying real Seon-bi spirit. So, I suggest Seogee's life has a substantial significance in strengthening personality education of the young today and composing media contents of local community.

  • This study aims to discuss the establishment and development of the Qiantang Medical School(錢塘醫派) represented by Zhang Zhicong(張志聰) via focusing on an academy of Chinese medicine named L$\"{u}$shantang(侶山堂). The teaching method in L$\"{u}$shantang(侶山堂) displays a representative feature of the Qiantang Medical School(錢塘醫派), but the foundation of the method consisting of lectures and discussions had already been laid by Lu Zhiyi(盧之頤) during the Ming-Qing transition period. The tradition was succeeded by Zhong Xuelu(仲學輅) in the Hangyuan Medical Board(杭垣醫局) even after L$\"{u}$shantang(侶山堂) was burnt down during a war taken place under the Qianlong(乾隆) period. That the function and the role of the local Confucian academies, which had been focused on the discussion of Confucian classics and local issues, were changed to adopt the education of medicine which had been treated as a lesser subject may be interpreted as a gradual change in the social perception of medicine. The change in the function of the Confucian academies combined with the tendency in which the literati elites of the period left the Confucian philosophy for medicine presents one of many examples showing the changes occurred during the Ming-Qing transition period. The education of medicine provided by the Confucian academies is regarded historically significant in that it was offered by ordinary civilians rather than the government before the formal school education system was established in the modern period. This educational tradition played an important role in bridging the Chinese medicine in the medieval times with that in the modern period.

  • In Seowon architecture, there are four kinds of space conditions according to the site plan and the figure of education area. The education area has three main buildings such as Kangdang, Dongjae, Seojae. In case Kangdan locates in front of Dongjae and Seojae(so called Junkangdang-Hoojaesa), but in another case Dongjae and Seojae locates in front of Kangdang(so called Junjaesa-Hookangdang). This four space conditions affect to decide the floor plan and the window & door system of Kangdang. In Junjaesa-Hookangdang type, the front and rear wall has more open system than in Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type. In Junjaesa-Hookangdang type the direction of Kangdang is absolutely open to front education area, but in Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type the direction of Kangdang is absolutely open to rear education area. These floor plan aims at making up education area more closely. In window & door system the rear parts of Junjaesa-Hookangdang type have generally opaque system such as Golpanmoon or Panjangmoon, but Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type breaks this rule in order to emphasize front facade of building.
