A Fundamental Study on the Development of Highly Efficient Models of Rain Shelter (비가림시설의 효율적 형태 개발에 관한 기초 연구)

  • Cultivation using rain shelter is very popular in summer because rain shelter has a simple structure using less materials than any other regular greenhouse. Although it has a main advantage of easy construction in terms of labour, time and cost, it has some disadvantage of poor ventilation and rain fall inflow. Therefore, the rain shelters being able to overcome the problems, to some extent, are necessary to propagate for practical purpose. Three characteristic types of rain shelter were analyzed using measured and simulated environment data. Type 1 was a conventional type with an arched roof, and Type 2 and Type 3 were improved ones which were designed to have three arched roofs and three sawtooth like roofs with the openings for ventilation, respectively. The distribution of inside temperature measured was relatively uniform in Type 2 and 3 by the natural ventilation through the openings of the roof compared to Type 1 which had no openings. The relative light transmittance measured in Type 2 and 3 showed lower than that in Type 1, which suppressed the rise of inside temperature, For more accurate comparison, the differences between inside and outside temperatures to various wind speeds were calculated by the model. The difference in Type 1 was the greatest at lower wind speed below 1 ㎧, that is, the highest in inside temperature, but decreased rapidly as wind speed increased above 1 ㎧. Measured temperatures generally showed the same trends as calculated ones by the model. As a whole, the improved rain shelters(Type 2 and 3) showed better performance than the conventional one in ventilation as well as inside temperature.

Parameter Regionalization of Semi-Distributed Runoff Model Using Multivariate Statistical Analysis (다변량 통계분석을 이용한 준분포형 유출모형 매개변수 지역화)

  • The objective of this study is to suggest parameter regionalization scheme which is integrated two multivariate statistical methods: principal components analysis(PCA) and hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA). This technique is to apply semi-distributed rainfall-runoff model on ungauged catchments. 7 catchment characteristics (area, mean altitude, mean slope, ratio of forest, water content at saturation, field capacity and wilting point) are estimated for 109 mid-sized sub-basins. The first two components from PCA results account for 82.11% of the total variance in the dataset. Component 1 is related to the location of the catchments relevant to the altitude and Component 2 is connected with the area of these. 103 ungauged catchments are clustered using HCA as the following 6 groups: Goesan 23, Andong 6, Imha 5, Hapcheon 21, Yongdam 4, Seomjin 44. SWAT model is used to simulate runoff and the parameters of the model on the 6 gauged basins are estimated. The model parameters were regionalized for Soyang, Chungju and Daecheong dam basins which are assumed as ungauged ones. The model efficiency coefficients of the simulated inflows for these three dams were at least 0.8. These results also mean that goodness of fit is high to the observed inflows. This research will contribute to estimate and analyze hydrologic components on the ungauged catchments.

Groundwater evaluation in the Bokha watershed of the Namhan River using SWAT-MODFLOW (SWAT-MODFLOW를 활용한 남한강 복하천유역의 지하수 모의 평가)

  • SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool)-MODFLOW (Modular Groundwater Flow) is a coupled model that linking semi-distributed watershed hydrology with fully-distributed groundwater behavior. In this study, the groundwater simulation results of SWAT and SWAT-MODFLOW were compared for Bokhacheon watershed in Namhan river basin. The models were calibrated and validated with 9 years (2009~2017) daily streamflow (Q) data of Heungcheon (HC) water level gauge station and the daily groundwater level observation data of Yulheon (YH). For SWAT, the groundwater parameters of GW_DELAY, GWQMN, and ALPHA_BF affecting baseflow and recession phase were treated. The SWAT results showed the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.7 and Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiencies (NESQ, NSEinQ) for Q and 1/Q with 0.73 and -0.1 respectively. For SWAT-MODFLOW, the spatio-temporal aquifer hydraulic conductivity (K, m/day), specific storage (Ss, 1/m), and specific yield (Sy) were applied. The SWAT-MODFLOW showed R2, NSEQ, and NSEinQ of 0.69, 0.74, and 0.51 respectively. The SWAT-MODFLOW considerably enhanced the low flow simulation with the help of aquifer physical information. The total streamflow of SWAT and SWAT-MODFLOW were 718.6 mm and 854.9 mm occupying baseflow of 342.9 mm and 423.5 mm respectively.

Studies on the Tobacco Growth Characteristics under Environmental Conditions between KOREA and U.S.A. (한국과 미국의 재배환경 요인과 담배생육비교)

  • To find main factors to affect tobacco culture and quality, NC 2326 (Nicotiana tabacum L.) was cultivated in Korea and in the United States under different plant density, fertilization, mulching and curing. Among the chemical characteristics of the both experimental soils, the organic matters were similar concentration in both locations but effective phosphorous contents were higher in Oxford in the United States. Plant height, length and width of the largest leaf, leaf thickness, and midrib ratios were larger in Oxford than in Suwon in Korea. Also they were larger in non mulching system than in mulching system. But the total numbers of the leaves were decreased in non mulching system. The content of nicotine was higher in the plant grown in Suwon than in Oxford. The concentrations of nicotine and sugar tend to increase in mulching system comparing of non mulching system. During the growing, the concentration of non-volatile organic acids was higher in Suwon, while it was lower in cured leaf produced in Suwon. Also the contents of total fatty acids were lower in the harvested leaf grown in Suwon, but not in cured tobacco. Forty three compounds identified among the volatile oils from these experimental samples were quantified. The concentrations of the major components related to the tobacco flavour such as damascone, damascenone, solanone, nor-solanadione, and megastigmatrienones were higher in the cured tobacco produced in Oxford rather than in Suwon.

A Study on Delineation of Groundwater Recharge Rate Using Water-Table Fluctuation and Unsaturate Zone Soil Water Content Model (지하수위 변동 예측 및 비포화대 함수모델을 이용한 지하수 함양율 산정 연구)

  • In this study, a combined model of a water-table fluctuation and a soil moisture content model is proposed for the estimation of groundwater recharge rate at a given location. To evaluate the model, groundwater level data from 4 monitoring wells (Pohang Yeonil, Pohang Kibuk, Suncheon Oeseo, Hongcheon Hongcheon) of National Groundwater Monitoring Network from 1996 to 2005 and precipitation data of corresponding years are used. From the proposed methodology, the groundwater recharge rates are estimated to be from 0.5 to 61.4% for Hongcheon Hongcheon, from 1.1 to 27.4% for Pohang Yeonil, from 5.1 to 41.4% for Pohang Kibuk, and from 1.1 to 8.3% for Suncheon Oeseo. The magnitude of variation of the estimated recharge rate depends on the soil type observed near the stations. The groundwater fluctuation model used in this study includes precipitation as a unique source of water-table perturbation and there may exist corollary limitations. To improve the applicability of the proposed method, a capillary-water content constitutive model for unsaturated fractured rock media may be considered. The proposed recharge rate delineation method is physically based and uses minimum numbers of assumptions. The method may be used as a better substitute for the previous tools for delineating recharge rate of a location using water-table fluctuation method and contribute to national groundwater management plan. Further research on the spatial interpolation of the method is under progress.

Frequency Runoff Analysis by Storm Type using GIS and NRCS Method (GIS와 NRCS방법을 이용한 호우형태에 따른 빈도별 유출 분석)

  • Rainfall-runoff process is under the control of hydrologic parameters having temporal and spatial variety. Accordingly, it is difficult to efficiently deal them since many parameters and various information are required to perform hydrologic simulation. So the purposes of this study is to estimate the runoff volume by frequency using GIS techniques and NRCS method. The analysis of frequency rainfall is analyzed using FARD 2002 program and the result of goodness of fit test show that Log-pearson type III is suitable distribute type for the applied area. TOPAZ program used for the analysis of DEM data examining into geological characteristic. NRCS curve numbers estimated using landuse map and soil map for the estimation of effective rain fall in the basin. The storm Type II and Type III were used as the type for the application of NRCS. The result of application show that the runoff volumes above 80 years frequency in return period have similar patterns regardless of Type II and Type III. In addition, the results of comparison with runoff volumes by frequency in the report of river improvement master plan show that it have similar volumes as the relative errors for them of 80, 100 years frequency are each 7.65%, 5.33%.

  • 한전은 1968년 11월 3일 오전 10시 04분을 기하여 154KV 전계통의 직접접지방식 전환을 단행하였다. 종전의 P.C(소고선륜) 중성점접지방식을 직접접지방식으로 전환한것으로서 전력사상 특기 할 만한 근대화사업이며 다년간을 두고 추진해온 중요과제였다. 전력계통의 확대와 복잡화는 선진국가에서도 실시하고 있는 직접접지방식의 채택을 불가변하게 하였고 또한 1차 AID송배전차관도 이의 채택을 조건부로 승인되었던 것으로서 1968년 이후에 건설되는 송변전기기는 직접접지계에서만 운전할 수 있는 절연Level 650KV급이 도입되어 부산화력발전소 3호기가 준공되는 1968년 10월말까지는 직접접지전환이 반드시 이루어져야 하는 실정에 놓여 있었다. 그런데 직접접지방식의 단점인 인접통신선에 미치는 유도장해를 해결하는 문제가 다년간을 두고 진지하게 검토되어 왔으나 해결이 늦어지고 있었다. 사유는 154KV 계통에 인근된 통신선이라면 체신부, 내무부, 교통부, 국방부등 여러기관의 것이 있는데, 유도장해보안방법과 유도보상비문제에 대하여 전력측(상공부, 한전)과 통신측(상기의 체신부등)의 견해차가 해소되지 않기 때문이었다. 그것이 1968년 5월에 와서 전력.통신쌍방이 범국가적입장에서 제반애로를 무릅쓰고 최소한의 투자로 가능한 범위내의 보안책으로서 우선 Arrester 보안방식을 채택하기로 합의되어 경제장관회의를 거쳐 시공하기에 이른것이다. 이 란을 빌려 이 사업의 필요성과 경위및 통신선유도장해방지를 위한 보안방식내용을 간단히 소개함으로써 앞으로 이 분야의 항구적인 유도대책연구에 다소나마 참고가 된다면 다행으로 생각하겠다.면서 예측강우의 질이 저하되기 시작하였으나 QPM을 합성함으로써 생산한 BQPF는 보다 신뢰성있고 양호한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들은 향후 정량적 분포형강우 예측을 이용한 실시간 홍수유출 예측시 댐운영자는 리드타임(홍수선행시간)을 충분히 확보함으로서 안정적이고 예측 가능한 홍수조절을 하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이와 같이 다양한 단기저수지 유입량의 예측정보 제공으로 다목적댐 저수지 운영모형의 효용성을 제고하여 향후 실제 저수지 유입량 예측에 이용함으로써 저수지 단기운영효율 개선에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.다. 이것은 여름철 강수량이 증가하고, 호우발생빈도, 특히 8월의 강수일수가 증가하고 있다는 것과 밀접한 관련이 있다. 여름과 가을에 우리나라에 영향을 미치는 태풍의 수는 뚜렷한 추세를 보이지 않으나, 2002년 루사, 2003년 매미로 인하여 각각 6조원, 4조원 이상의 막대한 피해가 발생하였다. 태풍에 의한 피해액은 GDP 대비 약 0.9%(태풍 루사)로 최근 경제상장률과 비교해 보면, 상당한 비율을 차지한다. 우리나라에 영향을 미치는 태풍은 연근해의 해수면 온도가 높아지면 세기가 강해질 가능성이 높다. 폭설과 한파일수도 평년대비 최근 10년 감소하였고 일최저기온이 영하 $10^{\circ}C$ 이하인 날도 연간 발생일수가 감소하였다. 최근 10년간 우리나라 기후의 변화특성은 기온상승과 더불어 서리종료일이 앞당겨지고 열대야가 증가하고 폭설, 한파, 겨울철 일최저기온 영하 10도 이하인 날의 감소 등이 나타나고, 여름철 재해의 원인인 호우일수는 증가하는 추세이다.

Parameter Estimation of SWAT Model Using SWAT-CUP in Seom-river Experimental Watershed (섬강시험유역에서 SWAT-CUP을 이용한 SWAT모형 매개변수 추정)

  • The semi-distributed rainfall runoff model of SWAT is applied to the Seom-river experimental watershed. The simulations of various antecedent periods before the targeted simulation periods of 2002 to 2009 are not necessary despite of the slight appearance of corresponding changes in simulated total runoff. The simulated results of total runoff by using various numbers of soil layer maps have little differentiated nevertheless the slight changes in simulated results have been appeared. The 7 parameters of CANMX, $CN_2$, ESCO, GW_REVAP, SOL_ALB, SOL_AWC, and SOL_K greatly govern the rainfall runoff are confirmed and their sensitivity analyses have been carried out. The optimal parameters used in SWAT are derived by SUFI-2 of SWAT-CUP. The NS and $R^2$ are 0.99 and 0.98, respectively which is shown the good agreement between the observed and the simulated results. The uncertainty factors of P-factor and R-factor are 0.85 and 0.06, respectively which is also shown the high efficiency of the model. The high applicability is also shown with improving the RMSE in SWAT model simulation using the parameters estimated by SUFI-2 of SWAT-CUP.

The Verification of Application of Distributed Runoff Model According to Estimation Methods for the Missing Rainfall Data (결측강우보완방법에 따른 분포형 유출모형의 적용성 검증)

  • The purpose of this research is to understand the change of runoff characteristics by estimated spatial rainfall. Therefore, this paper largely composed of two parts. First, we compared the simulated result according to estimation method, ID(Inverse Distance Method, ID2(Inverse Square Distance Method), and Kr(General Covariance Kriging Method), after letting miss rainfall data to the observed data. Second, we reviewed the runoff characteristics of the distributed runoff model according to the estimated spatial rainfall. On the basis of Yuseong water level station, we select the target basin as Gabchun watershed. We assumed 1 point or 2 point of the 6 rainfall gauge stations in watershed were missed. We applied the spatial rainfall distributed by Kr to Hy-GIS GRM, distributed runoff model. When 1 point rainfall data is missed, Kr is superior to others in point rainfall estimation and runoff estimation of Hy-GIS GRM. However, in case rainfall data of 2 points is missed, all of three methods did not give suitable result for them. In conclusion, Kr showed better applicability than other estimated methods if rainfall's data less than 2 points is missed.

  • 최근의 유출해석은 지리정보체계(GIS, Geographic Information System) 및 지형자료(DEM, Digital Elevation Model 등) 구축의 발달로 대부분 격자 기반의 분포형 강우-유출 모형을 통해 이루어지고 있으며, Rodriguez-Iturbe and Valdes (1979)에 의해 소개된 통계물리학적 접근방법인 지형학적 순간단위도(GIUH)모형 역시 DEM을 기반으로 한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되어 온 실정이다(Maidment, 1993; D'odorico and Rigon, 2003; Di Lazzaro, 2010). 이러한 격자 기반 모형들은 대부분 8방향 최급경사에 기초한 흐름방향도를 기반으로 물의 유동을 표현한다. 8방향법에 의해 결정된 흐름방향도를 이용할 경우 각 격자 중심에서 유역출구 까지의 배수로경로길이를 비교적 쉽고, 빠르게 계산할 수 있다는 장점을 가지나, 공간해상도(격자 규모)에 따라 상이한 결과를 나타내는 것을 예상할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 DEM의 공간해상도에 따른 배수경로길이의 통계적 변화양상을 살펴보고, 이로부터 실제 수문사상의 통계적 특성과 Di Lazzaro(2010)의 특성유속산정 공식을 이용해 지표면과 하천의 특성유속을 산정하였다. 산정된 특성유속들을 D'odorico and Rigon(2003)이 제시한 값과 비교함으로써 격자 기반의 GIUH 모형의 적용에 있어서 적정 공간해상도를 찾고자 하였다. 대상유역으로는 국제수문개발계획(IHP, International Hydrological Project)의 금강수계 보청천 유역 중 이평수위국을 출구로하는 소유역을 선정하였으며, DEM의 공간해상도는 수치지형도의 축척을 고려하여 1: 5,000의 경우 5, 10, 15, 20m를, 1: 25,000의 경우 20, 30, 50, 100, 150, 200m로 결정하였다. 분석 결과 격자 형태 GIUH의 특성유속을 산정을 위한 적정 공간해상도는 1:5,000의 경우 5m를, 1:25,000의 경우에는 20~50m의 범위를 적용하는 것이 타당할 것으로 판단된다.
