Mobile App Recommendation using User's Spatio-Temporal Context (사용자의 시공간 컨텍스트를 이용한 모바일 앱 추천)

  • With the development of smartphones, the number of applications for smartphone increases sharply. As a result, users need to try several times to find their favorite apps. In order to solve this problem, we propose a recommendation system to provide an appropriate app list based on the user's log information including time stamp, location, application list, and so on. The proposed approach learns three recommendation models including Naive-Bayesian model, SVM model, and Most-Frequent Usage model using temporal and spatial attributes. In order to figure out the best model, we compared the performance of these models with variant features, and suggest an hybrid method to improve the performance of single models.

Effects of Planting Densities on the Major Characters, Forage Yield and Chemical Composition of Jeju Italian Millet (제주 조의 재식밀도에 따른 주요형질, 사초수량 및 조성분 변화)

  • Jeju Italian millet was grown at five planting densities(5$\times$5, 15$\times$15, 20$\times$20, 25cm) form May 13 to Aug. 14, 2000 at jeju island to determine influence of planting density on agronomic characters, forage yield and quality. Days to heading increased from 87 to 89 days as planting density was decreased. In 5$\times$5cm planting density plot, plant height was 185.4cm and it was gradually decreased as planting density was increased. So in 30$\times$30cm planting density plot, plant height was 173cm. As planting density increased, stem diameter, the number of nodes per plant, the umber of leaves, leaf width and SPAD reading values was increased, the longer leaf length as the broader planting density. Fresh forage yield increased from 29.99 to 55.01MT/ha, dry matter(DM) yield from 8.04 to 15.59MT/ha, crude protein(CP) yield from 0.78 to 2.26MT/ha and total digestible nutrients(TDN) yield from 3.65 to 7.93MT/ha as planting density was decreased. Crude protein content increased from 9.8 to 14.5% ether extract comtent from 1.4 to 1.9%, nitrogen free extract content from 38.4% to 38.9% and TDN content from 45.4 to 50.9%, but crude fiber content decreased from 34.5 to 30.1% and crude ash content from 9.1 to 8.0% as planting density was decreased.

Effect of Seeding Date on Forage Yield and Chemical Composition of Echinochloa crusgalli var. Frumentacea(Roxb) Wight in Jeju Region (제주지역에서 파종기에 따른 청예피의 사료수량 및 조성분 변화)

  • In order to identify the growth characterization, the yield and chemical composition of Jeju barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli var. fiurnentacea(Roxb) Wight) based on seeding date in Jeju region, seeding carried out the 10-day intervals from March 27 to September 30 in 2000, respectively. Plant height was 143.2 cm, showing the highest on seeding date, April 6 among that of any other seeding date. On the other hand, those of early and late seeding gradually decrease. Plant height was 119.2 an in May 16 seeding. The results of stem diameter, number of withering leaves, number of leaves and fresh weight per plant were similar to those of the plant heights. The yield of fresh, dry matter forage, crude protein and TDN found the highest on April 6 seeding, 63.5 MT/ha, 13.9 MTha, 1.1 MT/ha, and 7.6 MT/ha, respectively. In early and late seeding, the yield was gradually decreased. In seeding May 16, the yield found .38.2 MTIha in fresh forage, 6.2 MTha in dry matter forage, 0.7 MT/ha in crude protein and 3.7 MTha in TDN, respectively. According to delaying the seeding date, March 27 to May 16, the contents of crude protein (from 7.9 to 10.8%), ether extract (from 4.6 to 6.0%), nitrogen free extract (from 45.1 to 46.5%), and TDN (from 54.2 to 60.8%) were gradually increased, respectively. On the other hand, those of crude fiber (from 28.9 to 25.6%) and crud ash (from 13.5 to 11.2%) were decreased. These results showed that April 6 was the optimum seeding date with the sole object of feed production of Jeju barnyard grass under the environmental condition like as atmospheric phenomena and soil in Jeju region.   • To design senior housing that support residents' health is one of the comtemporary issues in Korea. As elderly people became more healthful and reach, people became interested in the health and health promotion. This trend encouraged this research study. The objectives of this study are: to analyze the middle aged people's opinions and behaviors related to health issues, and to suggest design considerations for senior housing. The survey used questionnaire from 476 residents living in Seoul and Gyeong-Gi area. The analysis used descriptive statistics, one-way anova and t-test. Primary findings are as follows: (1) Most of the respondents considered that their health state is 'good' and mental health is more important than physical health. (2) Many people exercise regularly for the promotion of health at a gym. (3) Results show that social relationship effect on health, and dietary life and walking medical examination account highly. (4) As the respondents are higher income and education level, the health-related behavior is more actively. Moreover the respondents who are women feel a great interest about health issues. These results suggest directions for planning of the senior housing. (1) Planning the space for the health-promoting behavior in the house or support a private gym-not a local facilities-. (2) Service for the information related health issues - medical examination, news of the health issues (3) Support the maintenance a good - social relationship (4) Consideration the space with health-related behavior like walking and dietary-life. The senior housing can reflect the health-related opinions and support health-related behavior of the elderly people.

  • The performance of hidden camera cameras is improving day by day due to miniaturization and advanced technology integration according to the speed of technological development of smartphones. As this external networking computing environment is advanced and diversified, exposure to hidden cameras in addition to general safety cameras is also increasing. On the other hand, the technology for detecting and preventing hidden cameras is not keeping up with the development and speed of these hidden cameras. Therefore, in this study, the heat of the hidden camera was detected using infrared thermal detection technology based on general image and thermal image synthesis technology, and the reflectance of each wavelength according to the difference in ambient temperature was analyzed to reduce the false positive rate.

Effects of Plant Density on Growth and Yield of Sweet Corn Hybrid (재식밀도가 단옥수수의 생육 및 이삭 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • A sweet corn hybrid. ‘Golden Elite 70’ was grown at four plant densities of 4.500, 5.500, 6,500 and 7,500 plants per 10 ares under early and ordinary season cultivations, respectively, to determine effects of plant density on growth and yield of sweet corn. Plant and ear heights and ear size were greater, and ear number per plant was less at ordinary season cultivation compared to early season cultivation. However. ear weight per 10 ares were similar between two cultural practices. There were no significant interactions between cultural practice and plant density for plant height, yield and yield components except ear length. Plant density did not affect silking date, and plant and ear heights and did not show consistent trend in ear size. Ear number per plant decreased with increasing plant density. Ear number and weight per 10 ares increased as plant density increased up to 6,500 plants per 10 ares and tended to decrease at 7,500 plants per 10 ares. The results indicate that the optimum plant density for sweet corn would be around 6,500 plants per 10 ares.

Maturity Effects on Moisture, Total Sugar Contents and Flavor of Fresh Waxy Corn (성숙정도에 따른 풋찰옥수수의 수분, 전당함량 및 맛의 변화)

  • The changes of kernel size, contents of moisture and total sugar, and rates of flavor and stickiness of a waxy corn (cv. Hongcheon native) were observed from 15 days after silking (DAS) to 40 DAS at Suwon and Cheongju in 1984, nespectively. Fresh kernel length and width greatly increased from 15 DAS to 30 DAS and slightly increased thereafter. Fresh 100-kernel weight was markedly increased during 15 DAS to 30 DAS, and slightly and continuously increased thereafter while dry 100-kernel weight almost linearly increased with maturity. Total sugar content of fresh kernel was the highest at 20 DAS and then continuously decreased with maturity. Flavor and stickiness rates of boiled waxy corn were significantly increased during 15 DAS to 30 DAS and flavor rate decreased thereafter. However, stickiness rate maintained the level until 35 DAS and then decreased slightly. The optimum harvest date for fresh waxy corn seems to be about 30 DAS considering kernel size, and flavor and stickiness rates of boiled corn.

Effects of Compost, Rate and Split Application of Nitrogen on Growth and Yield of Sweet Corn (퇴비시용과 질소시비 방법이 단옥수수의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • Field experiments were conducted in Suwon in 1982 and 1983 to evaluate the effects of compost application, nitrogen (N) rate and split application of N on growth, yield and N uptake of sweet corn (Zea mays L.) grown under clear polyethylene mulching condition. Urea was banded at N rates of 0 (only in 1983), 5, 10, 15 and 20 kg per 10a with or without compost application of 1500 kg per 10a at planting. In 1982, half of N was sidedressed at the 5-6 leaf stage in case of 15, and 20 kg N per 10a. Compost application increased ear size and ear weight per 10a (10%). The number of ears per 10a markedly increased with an increase in N rates up to 10 kg per 10a but was not significantly affected by further increased N rates. Ear weight per 10a increased linearly as N rate increased from 0 to 20 kg per 10a without compost but increased greatly up to 10 kg N per 10a with compost application. Dry matter yield increased greatly up to 15, 10 kg N per 10a with and without compost application, respectively. Nitrogen uptake increased linearly from 8.1 to 18.8 kg per 10a with an increase in N rates from 0 to 20 kg per 10a. The optimum N rate appeared to be 10 to 15 kg per 10a based on ear number, ear weight and dry weight per 10a. There was no significant difference between basal and split applications of N in terms of ear size, and number and weight of ears per 10a.

Effect of Transplanting Date on Growth and Yield of Yacon (정식시기가 야콘의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • Fifty-day-old plug seedlings of yacon (Polymnia sonchiflolia Poeppig & Endlicher) were transplanted on Mar. 23, Apr,8, Apr,23, May 8, May 23, and June 7,2002 at Jeju to evaluate the effect of transplanting date on the growth and yield of yacon in Jeju island. Delaying the transplanting until May 23 greatly decreased plant height stem height, main stem diameter and number of nodes per plant. The number of marketable tuberous roots was about 6.0 per plant with the early transplanting from March 23 to April 231 but decreased to 1.9 per plant with the latest transplanting time, June 7. The yield of marketable tuberous roots of early transplanted (March 23 to April 23) yacon was about 27 MT/ha, and was 32.4 MT/ha at April 23 transplanting, but was remarkably reduced at the three later transplantings, May 8, May 23, and June 7. Dry matter and soluble solid contents of marketable tuberous roots were 14% and 15%, respectively, regardless of transplanting date. The weight of a marketable tuberous root ranged from 153 to 183.9 g at the first three transplantings, but gyeatly reduced with delaying transplanting until May 7. The optimum transplanting date for yacon in Jeju island seems to be from mid-April to late April considering tuberous root yields, the risk of late-spring frost, and cost of seedling raising.

Effects of Nitrogen Application Rate on Growth Characters, and Feed Value in Jeju Italian Millet (제주조의 질소시비량 차이에 따른 생육반응, 수량성 및 사료가치 변화)

  • In order to determine the influence of nitrogen on agronomic characters, forage yield and quality, Jeju Italian millet(Setaria italica Beauvis) was grown on the volcanic ash soil at the Experimental Farm of Cheju national university under the six levels of nitrogen rates (0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250kg/ha) from May 1, 2000 to August 25, 2000. Days to heading was delayed 92∼98 days as nitrogen rate increased. Plant height was 96cm at 0kg N/ha. as N rate increased, grew gradually, was 134cm at 200kg N/ha, 135cm at 250kg N/ha, and was not significantly affected between the two plots. Fresh forage, dry matter, crude protein and TDN yield increased 18.88∼42.82MT/ha, 8.45 ∼12.25MT/ha, 0.76∼1.59MT/ha and 4.32∼6.79MT/ha, respectively, as the increasing of N rate, but were not significant between 200kg N/ha and 250kg N/ha. As N rate increased, crude protein, crude fat, NFE and TDN content increased 9.0∼13.0%, 1.4∼1.7%, 9% and 51.1∼55.5%, respectively, but crude ash and crude fiber content decreased 8.7∼8.2% and 34.9∼30.2%, respectively.
