Applicability of Impact-Echo Method for Assessment of Residual Strength of Fire-Damaged Concrete (화해된 콘크리트의 잔존 강도 평가에 있어서 충격-반향 기법의 적용성)

  • In this study, the applicability of impact-echo method for assessment of residual strength of fire-damaged concrete is investigated. A series of standard fire test is performed to obtain fire-damaged concrete specimens. Impact-echo tests are executed on the specimens and the responses are analyzed. Compressive strengths of the fire-damaged concrete are evaluated and correlated with the ultrasonic wave velocities determined from the impact-echo responses. The effectiveness of impact-echo based ultrasonic wave velocity measurement for assessment of residual strength of fire-damaged concrete is discussed.

Evaluation of Workability and Strength in Concrete with Cellulose Fibers (셀룰로오즈 섬유 함유 콘크리트의 작업 성능 및 강도 평가)

  • Cracking due to material behavior like drying shrinkage easily occurs since tensile strength in concrete is very low at initial curing stage. In this paper, workability such as air content and slump was evaluated on CFC(Cellulose Fiber Concrete) with 0.0 ~ 2.0% of fiber addition, and the tests for tensile/compressive strength were performed. With increasing addition ratio of fiber, air content and slump kept similar level to 1.0kg/㎥ of addition ratio, and this trend was effective to 2 hours after mixing. Strength was enhanced with increasing addition ratio, which showed 7.0 ~ 9.0% for compressive strength and 7.0 ~ 22.0% for tensile strength, respectively. The tensile strength increased relatively more, which show the addition of cellulose fiber was very effective to crack resistance. The workability in CFC can be guaranteed for 2 hours in the following conditions like 2 minutes of mixing period and 1.0kg/㎥ of addition ratio of fiber.

  • 자동차 차체에 구조접착접합을 적용하는 것은 시대적인 흐름으로 볼 때 지극히 당연한 것으로 생각된다. 자동차는 머리말에서 언급한 사회적 요구와 그리고 기술적인 측면이 서로 미묘한 조화를 이루면서 만들어진다. 구조접착접합을 적용하는 기술상의 변혁은 처음에는 조금씩 점진적으로, 주의깊게 진행하는 것이 바람직할 것이다. 검토해야 할 여러가지 문제가 쌓여있고, 앞으로의 기술개발을 큰 과제로 하고 있지만, 자동차 기술을 담당하고 있는 기술인들의 능력으로 볼때 대부분의 문제들은 해결가능할 것으로 전망된다. 구조접착접합은 용접성이 떨어지는 고강도 박강판이나 이종재료.복합재료의 접합법으로 기대가 크다는 것을 전반적으로 살펴보았다. 또한 박강판, 알루미늄합금, 엔지니어링 프라스틱, 세라믹스 등의 이용도를 높이기 위해서도 접착접합의 응력해석과 강도평가는 필수적이므로 접착접합에 대한 강도평가의 확립이 시급한 실정이다. 따라서 접착접합 기술의 활용측면에서 '구조접착'의 신뢰성을 높이기 위한 접착이음의 응력해석과 강도평가법에 대한 관심과 연구개발을 통해 현재의 접착강도평가 문제를 풀어나가야 할 것이다.

Tensile Strength of Plate with Bolt Hole and Bearing Strength of Bolted Connection by Oxygen Torch Cut (볼트홀을 산소토치로 천공한 강재의 인장강도 및 지압이음강도)

  • In this paper, experiments for the evaluation of tensile strength of steel plate with bolt hole and bearing strength of bolted connection were performed, where bolt holes were punched by drilling and oxygen torch, respectively. For the tensile tests, drilled and oxygen torch punched steel plate specimens of 10mm and 15mm thickness were made from structural angles and H-shapes, respectively. For the bearing strength evaluation, test specimens were fabricated with base plates and splice plates those were also punched by drilling and oxygen torch, respectively. The Vicker's hardness were measured around the bolt hole to investigate material property change due to heat effect by oxygen torch cut. Numerical analysis was also performed to investigate the bearing strength of bolted joints due to the increase of hardness around the bolt hole by oxygen torch cut.

  • 콘관입시험(CPT)은 의사정적상태로 수행되는 현장시험방법으로서, 각종 기초구조물의 설계와 더불어 지반조사를 위한 대표적 방법으로 널리 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 콘관입시험결과를 이용하여 사질토 지반에 있어서 지반강도의 상세평가법을 제안하고자 한다. 사질토의 강도는 상대밀도와 응력상태에 따라 변하는 상태의존적 성질을 나타내고 있으나, 이러한 역학적 성질은 실험실 내에서만 측정이 가능한 상태이며, 현장강도의 경험식이나, 대표강도의 평가만이 제안되어 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대표적 현장시험방법인 CPT를 이용하여 다이러턴시 특성 평가가 가능하며, 다양한 지반특성치가 반영될 수 있는 현장강도의 상세평가법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 실내삼축압축시험을 통해 얻어진 강도특성과 역학특성치들을 분석하였으며, 이를 토대로 수정 다일러턴시 평가법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법의 검증을 위해 가압토조를 이용한 콘관입시험을 수행하였으며, 측정값과의 비교분석을 수행하였다.

선박의 근무강도 평가요소 개발에 관한 연구

  • 현재 우리나라는 보유 또는 지배선박이 약 1,000척, 3천만G/T로 노르웨이에 이어 세계 6위의 해운강국으로 성장하였다. 그리고 수많은 사관과 부원들이 다양한 선박에 승선하고 있으며 해운산업이 성장할수록 더 많은 선원들이 선박에 근무할 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 IMO와 ILO 등에서는 선원들의 선박근무환경 및 휴식 등에 관해서 최소한만을 규정하고 있고, 이로 인하여 선원들이 높은 노동 강도에 시달리게 되고 피로와 스트레스가 누적되어 해양사고의 한 원인이 되고 있는 실정이다. 이 연구에서는 각 선박의 고유 특성과 운항환경 등으로 고려한 선박의 근무강도를 평가할 수 있는 요소와 지수를 개발하기 위하여 선박에 장기간 승선한 경험이 있는 응답자로 하여금 각 평가요소에 대하여 주관적으로 인지하는 선박의 근무강도를 평가하도록 하였다. 이 평가요소와 지수를 기반으로 선원들을 각 선원의 특성과 여건에 맞는 선박에 배정함으로서 선원들의 피로와 스트레스를 경감시켜 해양사고의 예방에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

A Case Study of Course Evaluation (강의 평가 사례 연구)

  • We have analyzed the result of course evaluation in a department for five semesters. The results of the students' course evaluation varied on individual lecturer, however the average score was improved initially and it was saturated after several semesters. Based on these results, we suggest several effective methods of using the evaluation results. We also suggest to study more in improving the questionnairs of the evaluation format to receive students' positive responses for the better course in the future. As a conclusion, the course evaluation system must be carefully introduced and it should be used only for improving the course itself. When this system is applied to evaluating the capability of lecturers, lecturers would easy their requirements and standards of the education and this causes a lot of problems in the case of the USA.

  • A strength and durability estimation system of involute cylindrical gears which are commonly used as power transmission devices is developed on the personal computer, which analyzed and/or evaluates the gear design and the service performance at the point of view of strength and durability. The typical considerations are the bending strength and the sunface durability, and the strength and durability estimations are carried out using the reliable standards of AGMA&ISO. In addition, the finite element analysis (FEM) of tooth bending stress is conducted in order to compare the real maximum stress with the estimaed bending stress by the standard. Therefore, the system is built so that the variables or factors considered differently in those standards and the strength & durability are appraised seperately by each method, and a series of the estimation processes is integrated into the system can be used in the initial design at the view point of strength and durability. And it is useful to the purpose of the trouble-shooting of gear system and the purpose of introducing the methods for maintaining design strength in service, with appraising the strength and durability after design or with appraising the influencing factors, as a whole. Therefore, this strength and durability estimation system can help the aim of automatic design of cylindrical gears.

Strength and Ductility of Steel Fiber Reinforced Composite Beams without Shear Reinforcements (전단보강근이 없는 강섬유 보강 합성보의 강도 및 연성 능력)

  • Experimental study was carried out to investigate the structural performance of composite beams with steel fiber concrete and angle. For this purpose, seven specimens composed of two RC beams with or without steel fiber and five composite beams with steel fiber and angle were constructed and tested. All specimens had no web shear reinforcement. Main variables for the specimens were tensile reinforcement ratio and fiber volume fraction. Based on the test results, structural performance such as strength, stiffness, ductility and energy dissipation capacity was evaluated and compared with the predicted strength. The prediction of flexure and shear strength gives a good relationship with the observed strength. The strength, ductility and energy dissipation capacity are increased, as the fiber volume fraction is increased. Meanwhile, high tensile reinforcement ratio resulted in the reduction of ductility and energy dissipation capacity for the composite beams.
