A Study on the Shear Properties of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Deep Beams (강섬유보강(鋼纖維補强)콘크리트 Deep Beam의 전단특성(剪斷特性)에 관한 연구(硏究))

  • Four series of fiber reinforced concrete deep beams without shear reinforcement were tested to determine their cracking shear strengths and ultimate shear capacities. Results of tests on 20 reinforced concrete deep beams (including 16 containing steel fibers) are reported. Three parameters were varied in the study, namely, the concrete compressive strength, volume fraction of fibers, and the shear span to depth ratio. The effects of fiber incorporation on failure modes, deflections. strains, cracking shear strength, and ultimate shear strength have been examined. Resistance to shear stresses have been found to be improved by the inclusion of fibers. Based on these investigations, a method of computing the shear stress of steel fiber reinforced concrete deep beam is suggested. The comparisons between computed values and experimentally observed values are shown to validate the proposed theoretical treatment.

An Experimental Study on the Shear Strength of Reinforced High Strength Concrete Beams without Stirrups (스터럽이 없는 고강도 철근콘크리트보의 전단강도 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • 일반적으로 스터럽이 없는 철근콘크리트 보의 전단강도는 콘크리트 압축강도, 주철근비, 전단스팬비 및 보 유효깊이에 좌우된다는 것이 많은 연구를 통하여 밝혀지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 고강도 콘크리트를 사용한 철근콘크리트 보의 거동 및 전단강도 특성을 분석하기 위하여 주철근비, 전단스팬비 및 보 유효깊이를 변수로 두고 총 22개의 단철근 보 실험체를 제작하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과는 ACI규준식, Zsutty식 및 Bazant & Kim식의 예측값들과 함께 비교, 분석되었는데, ACI 규준식은 주철근비 및 전단스팬비의 효과를 과소평가할 뿐만 아니라 유효깊이가 915mm인 큰 보의 경우 안전측이 아니어서 이에 대한 고려가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. Zsutty식은 주철근비의 효과를 적절하게 평가하는 것으로 나타났으며, Bazant & Kim 식은 유효깊이 증가에 따른 전단강도 감소 경향을 잘 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 다른 연구자들의 실험치와 비교, 분석해본 결과 주철근비 및 전단스팬비의 효과는 콘크리트 압축강도 수준에 따라 큰 변화가 없는 것으로 판단된다.

Estimating the Compressive Strength of High-Strength Concrete Using Surface Rebound Value and Ultrasonic Velocity (표면반발경도와 초음파 속도를 활용한 고강도 콘크리트 압축강도 추정)

  • The authors performed the experimental work to propose the strength prediction equation for high strength concrete based on the non-destructive test methods. The concrete specimens that the range of design compressive strength was 40~80 MPa was produced in laboratory, and then tested rebound test and ultrasonic velocity methods and also compressive test according to the Korea Standard. The test results was compared with previously equations suggested by other researcher. From the test, these traditional nondestructive methods are simple, quick, has proven to be reliable and useful method for predicting the concrete strength. The test results were compared with the previous equations and then newly proposed own equations based on the test results. The proposed equations have the suitable precision and accuracy for applying the high strength concrete structures.

The Effect of Curing Temperature History on Concrete Strength Development (양생온도 이력이 콘크리트 강도발현에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구는 양생온도이력이 콘크리트 강도에미치는 영향을 평가하기 위한 것으로 물 시멘트비가 60%, 45%, 26%인 3종류의 콘크리트에대하여 5$^{\circ}C$부터 5$0^{\circ}C$까지의 항온양생과 초기재령에 고온도이력을 변수로 한 변동온도양생을 실시한 공시체의 압축강도를 측정하였다. 또한 그 실험결과에 강도평가 방법의 하나인 Maturity 개념을 도입하여 강도평가에 미치는 재령, w/c, 온도이력 등에 대한 영향을 평가하였다. 항온양생 실험결과에 따르면 물시멘트비가 낮을수록 초기재령에서의 강도발현은 높게 나타나며 양생온도 5$0^{\circ}C$인 경우를 제외하고 재령7일까지의 강도발현은 양생온도가 높을수록 크게 나타나고 있다. 한편, 변동온도양생실험결과에 의하면 초기재령에서 고온양생한 콘크리트의 강도발현은 물시멘트비의 영향을 크게 받으며, 1주 이후의 양생온도가 강도발현에 미치는 영향은 1주까지의 고온도이력에 대한 영향에 비교해 2차적이다. 기존의 Maturity개념인 Saul-Bergstrom의 함수와 Ooi의 함수를 가지고 항온 및 변동온도 양생실험결과를 분석한 결과, 전체적으로 Saul-Bergstrom식에 의한 경우가 실험값과의 차이가 작게 나타났으나 두 식 모두 Maturity 가 큰 경우에는 계산에 의한 값이 실험에 의한 값보다 크게 나타나고 있어 장기 재령시 강도평가는 한계강도 개념을 고려한 새로운 Matruity함수를 제안할 필요가 있다.

  • 우리나라에 있는 대부분의 주거용 조적조 건물의 내진설계가 되어 있지 않은 비보강 조적조이다, 비보강 조적조 건물에 막대한 피해를 준 1989년의 Loma Prieta 지진을 통해 알수 있듯이 이들에 대한 실험적이고도 이론적인 연구가 필요하다. 우리나라의 비보강 조적조의 지진거동을 알아보기 위해 1/3로 축소된 전형적인 2층 조적조 모델을 제작하였다. 진동대위에서 지진모의 실험을 수행하였다 실험결과 1층에서의 전단파괴가 지배적으로 나타났다 하지만 예상했던 것 보다는 비보강 조적조 모델의 내력이 큼을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents the injection efficiency of 2.0 shot system which was verified by strength and injection time. In order to perform this study, laboratory model tests and field tests are carried out. The laboratory model tests consist of the test of injection time for verifying the injection ratio, and the tests of homo-gel and sand-gel strengths for estimating the characteristic of strength. It is found that the injection ratio of 1:2 shows the best seepage into the ground. The results of the strengths are also larger than other injection ratio. The large strength will also be expressed by field tests at construction site.

  • The ultimate strength testing of a two-story, single-bay, and sway allowed space steel frame was performed. Considering a majority of large-scale frame tests in the past, only two-dimensional frames were experimentally studied. Therefore, three-dimensional experiment is needed to extend the knowledge of this field. The steel frame subjected to non-proportional vertical and horizontal load was tested. The load-displacement curve of the test frame is provided. The experiment results are useful for verification of the three-dimensional numerical analysis. The results obtained from 3D non-linear analysis using ABAQUS were compared with experimental data.

  • An experimental study was performed for thin-walled rectangular concrete-filled tubular (CFT) columns. The present study mainly focused on evaluation of the axial load-carrying capacity of concrete-filled tubular columns using high-strength steel and slender section. The test parameters were width-to-thickness ratio, concrete strength, steel yield strength, and the use of stiffeners. Five specimens were tested under monotonic axial loading. Although elastic local buckling occurred in the slender-section specimens with high-strength steel, the specimens exhibited considerable post-buckling reserve. The test results also satisfied the predictions of a current design code. The specimens strengthened with vertical stiffeners exhibited improved strength and ductility when compared with the un-stiffened specimens.

  • Experimental investigation on the structural behavior of steel fiber-reinforced ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) beams subjected to shear are presented. Six tests carried out on simply supported I-beams under concentrated loads are presented. The parameters varied were the volume fraction of the fibers (1.0, 1.5 and 2.0%) and shear span-effective depth ratio (2.5, 3.4). The test results indicated that ultimate shear strength increased with increasing fiber volume, and that ultimate shear strength decreased with increasing shear span-effective depth ratio. In addition, applicability of predictive equations for evaluating the ultimate shear strength of steel fiber-reinforced UHPC beams are estimated based on the test results. The comparison between computed values and the experimentally observed values are shown to validate the proposed theoretical equations. It is found that predictions by using AFGC and JSCE recommendations provide the most accurate estimates of shear strength of steel fiber-reinforced UHPC beams.

An Experimental Study on the Fracture Energy of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Structures by the Effects of Fiber Contents (강섬유 혼입량에 의한 강섬유보강콘크리트의 파괴에너지에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, fracture tests were carried out in order to investigate the fracture behavior of SFRC(Steel Fiber Peinforced Concrete) with initial cracks. The relationships between loading. strain, mld-span deflections and CMOD(Crack Mouth Opening Displacement) of the beams were observed under the three point loading system. The effect of the fiber content and the initial crack ratio on the concrete fracture behavior were studied and the fracture toughness, the critical energy release ratio and the fracture energy were also calcul ated from the test results. From the test results, it was known that when the fiber contents are between 0.5% and 1.0%, and 1.5% the average fracture energy of SFRC specimens is about 7~10 times. and about 15 times better than that of the plam concrete specimens respectively.ively.
