The purpose of this study is to estimate human emotion quantitatively under colors and music stimuli and to examine the for correlation between color and music sensibility. Physiological signals(electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, Galvanic skin conductivity and respiration rate) were measured to compare color with music sensibilities. The personality of the subject were investigated using factor analysis and semantic differential method of 20 items(7 interval scaled). The results showed that red, yellow and violets color provoked active and exciting senses mainly as dance, rock and blues music. While blue, cyan and pink colors ware involved in tranquil and resting emotions deeply as classic and ballade music.

The article reports findings on: (1) development of emotion assessment scale in evaluating the Television(TV) picture quality; and (2) how psychological and physical factors relate to TV picture quality. A total of 152 adjectives that specifically describe emotional reactions were first selected from a Korean dictionary of adjectives, followed by ratings on their suitability for the evaluation of TV picture quality. The final selection of 19 adjective, based on the reported rating scores greater than 4.1, were used on 126 college students who were asked to perform similarity ratings on the adjectives. Based on factor analyses (i.e., principal component analysis with oblique rotation) on the similarity of scores, the following adjectives were selectively chosen for the development of the new emotion assessment scale: 'neat-messy', 'refreshing-gloomy', 'clean-dirty', 'comfortable-tense', 'smooth-rough', 'bright-dark', 'gorgeous-plain', 'diverse-monotonous', 'satisfying', 'natural', and 'sensuous'. These adjectives composed into two distinct constructs, 'cleanness or smart' factor and 'gorgeousness' factor, which demonstrated sensitivity to changes in brightness, contrast, color, and tint in the TV picture quality, except for changes in sharpness.

SNS의 확산으로 대중들은 제품, 서비스, 사회적 이슈 등 다양한 도메인에 대하여 자신의 기분이나 의견을 적극적으로 표현하고 있다. 이에 따라 SNS를 분석하여 제품의 수요, TV 시청률, 주가 등의 다양한 현상을 예측하는 데 있어 감성분석을 활용하는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 감성분석은 각 어휘에 대한 품사, 극성, 감성지수를 규정하고 있는 감성사전을 기반으로 이루어진다. 하지만 동일한 단어라도 도메인에 따라 중요도가 달라지기 때문에 도메인의 특성을 고려한 감성사전을 사용해야 할 필요성이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 도메인에 대하여 각각의 특성에 맞게 더욱 정확한 감성분석을 할 수 있도록 도메인 맞춤형 감성사전을 구축하는 기법을 제안한다. 도메인 별로 긍 / 부정 평가에 있어 중요한 척도가 되는 단어들을 도메인 감성어휘로 선별하여 목록을 구축하고, 각 감성어휘의 중요도에 따라 도메인 감성지수를 새롭게 정의하였다. 실험 결과, 평가 도메인에 적합한 감성사전이 다른 도메인의 감성사전 및 범용 감성사전보다 우수한 성능을 보였다. 이를 통해 도메인 맞춤형 감성사전 구축기법의 효용성을 확인하였다.

This article evaluates the existing subjective measures that have been utilized in surface transportation to assess various aspects of operator status such as fatigue, sleepiness, arousal, mood, etc. Specifically, the representative six subjective instruments - Epworth Sleepiness Scale, Karolinska Sleepiness Scale, Pearson and Byars Fatigue Checklist, Stanford Sleepiness Scale, Stress-Arousal Checklist, and NPRU Mood Scale - are compared and contrasted in terms of reliability, . validity, sensitivity, and appropriateness for application. Recommendations for application of the subjective measures in surface transportation are discussed.

소비자 감성 분석에 근거한 블록 스트라이프 패턴(block stripe pattern)의 디자인 방법을 제안하고자 남녀 30명을 대상으로 명도, 폭, 간격이 조작된 서로 다른 27개의 블록 스트라이프 패턴의 자극물을 제시하여 감성평가를 실시하였다. Likert 척도에 의해 명도, 배열, 폭, 간격의 4가지 디자인 요소가 요인분석을 통해 도출된 12개의 감성차원에 미치는 영향을 측정하고, 물리량에 근거한 정량적 분석을 통해 감성과의 관계를 파악하였다. 이를 근거로 각각의 감성에 부합하는 명도, 배열, 폭과 간격의 디자인 요소별 물리량과 함께 디자인 요소의 물리적 변화에 따른 감성예측 회귀모형을 도출하였다. 디자인 요소 중 명도차, 간격, 폭의 순으로 디자인 요소의 물리량 변화가 유의적인 감성차를 유발하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 중 명도차는 "캐주얼한"을 제외한 모든 감성에서 감성차에 영향을 미치는 가장 설명력 높은 디자인 요소로 분석되었다. 이 결과를 토대로 각각의 감성에 부합하는 디자인 요소별 물리량과 함께 디자인 프로토타입을 제시하였다.

The mechanism of emotion is complex and influenced by a variety of factors, so that it is crucial to analyze emotion in broad and diversified perspectives. In this study, we classified neutral and negative emotions(sadness, fear, surprise) using arousal evaluation, which is one of the psychological evaluation scales, as well as physiological signals. We have not only revealed the difference between physiological signals coupled to the emotions, but also assessed how accurate these emotions can be classified by our emotional recognizer based on neural network algorithm. A total of 146 participants(mean age $20.1{\pm}4.0$, male 41%) were emotionally stimulated while their physiological signals of the electrocardiogram, blood flow, and dermal activity were recorded. In addition, the participants evaluated their psychological states on the emotional rating scale in response to the emotional stimuli. Heart rate(HR), standard deviation(SDNN), blood flow(BVP), pulse wave transmission time(PTT), skin conduction level(SCL) and skin conduction response(SCR) were calculated before and after the emotional stimulation. As a result, the difference between physiological responses was verified corresponding to the emotions, and the highest emotion classification performance of 86.9% was obtained using the combined analysis of arousal and physiological features. This study suggests that negative emotion can be categorized by psychological and physiological evaluation along with the application of machine learning algorithm, which can contribute to the science and technology of detecting human emotion.

Online customer review data can be easily collected on the Internet and also they describe sentimental evaluation of a product in different aspects. Previous sentiment analysis studies evaluate the degree of sentiment with review data, which may have multiple sentences describing different product aspects. Since different aspects of a product can be described in a sentence, the proposed method suggested analyzing a sentence to build a pair of a product aspect terms and sentimental terms. Bidirectional LSTM and CRF algorithms were used in this paper. A pair of aspect terms and sentimental terms are evaluated by pre-defined evaluation rules. The paper suggested using the result of evaulation as inputs of QFD, so that the quantified customer voices effect on the requirements of a new product. Online reviews for a hair dryer were used as an example showing that the proposed approach can derive reasonable sentiment analysis results.

이 연구의 목적은 S/S 티셔츠 소재의 기본태 및 역학적 특성이 소재에 대한 주관적 감성에 미치는 영향을 밝혀 티셔츠 소재의 감성 이미지를 확립하고 소비자 감성에 적합한 S/S용 티셔츠 소재를 개발하기 위함이다. 이 연구를 위해 2003 봄, 여름에 시판된 5개의 티셔츠 소재가 사용되었고, 티셔츠 소재에 대한 감성 이미지를 도출하기 위해 티셔츠 소재와 관련된 20개의 감성형용어로 설문지를 작성하였다. 설문조사는 총 75명의 성인 남녀를 대상으로 실시하였으며 평가자는 각 문항에 대해서 7점 리커트형 척도를 사용하여 평가하였다. 5개의 시료 각각에 대한 19개의 역학적 특성치를 측정하여 태의 값을 산출하였으며, 각 특성치들과 주관적 감성 이미지와의 관계는 SPSS_Win 10.1을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과는 다음과 같다. S/S 티셔츠 소재의 감성이미지는 ‘유연감’, ‘청결감’, ‘매력성’, ‘건조감’, ‘강성’으로 분류되었으며, 소재의 감성 이미지가 소재의 기본 태에 의해 영향을 받는 정도는 다르게 나타났다. 감성이미지에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 기본태는 Shari였다. 또한 편성구조 및 섬유조성과 같은 티셔츠 소재의 기본적 특성이 소재에 대한 주관적 감성이미지에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는, 60세 이상의 고령자층과 20대의 청년층 피험자, 두 그룹을 대상으로 평가그리드법에 의한 면접조사을 실시하여, 고령자층과 청년층이 어떻게 계단 시환경을 평가하고 있는가, 즉, 고령자와 청년의 피험자 속성에 의한 평가구조의 차에 대해 고찰하였다. 면접조사 결과, 계단의 시환경평가구조모델이 작성되었으며 이 평가구조모델로부터 인상평가실험에 사용할 평가척도로써 20개의 형용사가 추출되었다. 또한, 고령자층과 청년층의 피험자는 <개방적인 면><심리적안심감의 면><기능적인 면><신체적인 면><디자인적인 면>의 크게 5가지 관점에서 계단 시환경을 평가하고 있는 것이 밝혀졌다. 그러나, 젊은층의 경우는, 전체에 걸쳐 항목의 수가 많고, 추상적인 항목에서부터 물리저긴 항목에 이르기까지 상세하게 대답하는 경향이 보였다. 고령자는 항목의 수가 전체적으로 적으며 특히 디자인측면에 관한 항목의 수가 젊은층에 비해 현저하게 적게 나타났다. 고령자의 경우는 신체적측면에 관한 항목이 상세하게 대답되어져, 계단의 시환경평가에 있어서 젊은층과 달리 신체적인 것을 강하게 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
