User's emotion while browsing 3D web interfaces (3D 웹 인터페이스 브라우징에서의 사용자 감성어휘 도출)

  • This paper examines users' emotion from both 2D and 3D web interfaces and finds their differences. First, 77 words representing users' emotion were collected from the previous research papers. Second, a web survey system was developed using these collected words and prepared 3 web interface prototypes to collect users' emotions from different types of web interfaces. Finally, a web survey was conducted and its results were analyzed. The result of the survey showed that there were emotional words that were commonly experienced from either 2D or 3D web interfaces. However, it also showed that there were emotional differences between 2D and 3D web interface; 3D web interfaces provide users with specific emotional experiences because of their own characteristics - depth and dynamic movement. It is believed that the words collected from the survey could be the criteria to evaluate the quality of the 3D web interfaces and encourage the research on users' emotion from 3D interfaces.

Public Telephone Design by Approach Method of Human Sensibility (감성적 접근방법에 의한 공중전화기 디자인에 대한 연구)

  • Acording to the trend of highly increasing the public telephone, understanding consumer's design sensibility is based on designing consumer products reflecting user's identity and it comes out as a result of wore competitive products. For this study, consumer's desirous sensibility of the public telephone has been measured in checkable numbers. First of all, 35 sensible words are narrowed down from 168 whole sensible(adjective) words using the SD method. By this result, 7 scale form the SD method is applied to reserch on 10 current distributed products form 30 male and female university students. Element factor analysis is used to group the selected sensible words, duster analysis is used yo dassify them, and finally discriminant analysis is used to predict the relationship between design elements and the sensible words. As a result, words of human sensibility is known to divide into 3 factors; esthetics, functionality and safety, and the correlation of design factor is closely related with the the telephone's body, handset, dial board, dial button, ontrol button, color and material. To sum up, better public telephone design comes out from scientific and systematic consumer's desire analysis not designer's design technique.

Comparison of Emotional Words by Products (제품 유형별 표출되는 감성어휘 비교)

  • This research extracted emotional words for measuring user's emotions expressed while using a cellular phone and a web. And then the emotional words were compared to find out whether the difference in emotional words by the type of products. The results of this study suggest that the hardware-oriented products used for specific purpose such as cellular phone extracted a lot of emotional words related to 'Satisfaction in Usability' and 'Pleasure'. 'Satisfaction in Usability' are conceived satisfying in usability or practicality of product. 'Pleasure' are pleasant emotions expressed while using a product. However the emotional words related to 'Aesthetics' and 'Novelty' were omitted. 'Aesthetics' are expressed by product's appearance and by various visual information while using a product. 'Novelty' are expressed by something that is novel and new that has never been experienced. On the other hand the software-oriented products used rather to find something better and new information than to perform specific tasks such as web extracted a lot of emotional words related to 'Novelty'. Therefore, the results of this research have found evidence that it is desirable to make a set of subjective evaluation scale by the type of products. When making the subjective evaluation scale, it is important to use appropriate emotional words for the purpose of use and the characteristics of those products.

Grouping Preferred Sensations of College Students Using Sementic Differential Methods of Sensation Words (선호감성 어휘분석을 통한 남녀 대학생의 감성 유형화)

  • This study was designed to cluster the preferred sensibilities of college students, and to distinguish the most preferred sensibility according to gender and their inter-subject differences. 98 of sensibility adjectives were composed into questionnaire with SD method and the data of 176 students were analyzed in ANOVA, Cluster and Correspondence analysis using SAS package. College students were divided into 10-sensibility clusters: the Casual(no-decoration casual, cool-dynamic casual and elaborate-clean casual), the Romantic Modem, the Simple Natural, the Classic(craft-romantic classic and monotonous classic), the Expressionless, the Gorgeous, and the Traditional Folklore. The adjectives and the sensibility clusters of students were visualized together into 2-D with two axis of static vs. dynamic and light vs. heavy.

  • 모바일의 발전과 확산으로 인해 모바일 웹의 필요성이 높아지고 있으며 사용성과 접근성이 용이한 웹 기반에서 인적자원 시스템이 구축되고 있는 사례가 많아지고 있다. 인적자원과 관련된 모바일 애플리케이션 개발과 활용성에 대한 연구가 여러 기업에서 진행 중이며 국내외 인적 자원 시스템을 개발하고 있는 기업들은 모바일을 활용하여 인적자원 시스템에 다양한 각도에서 접근하기 위해 노력하고 있다. 본 논문은 모바일 웹 기반의 인사 시스템에서 감성 어휘를 구축하여 면접자가 면접을 통해 받은 감성이나 인상에 대한 정보를 면접자의 모바일을 통해 설문지 형태로 모바일 웹 기반으로 한 채용 시스템에 입력하게 한다. 입력된 정보는 감성 어휘의 특정 형용사를 기준으로 구축된 감성 사전을 통해 면접 환경 개선에 필요한 정보들을 시각적으로 제공하는 모바일 웹 기반의 감성 어휘 분석 모형을 설계하여 면접 환경 개선을 할 수 있는 시각화 모델을 제안한다.

Extraction of Representative Emotions for Evaluations of Tactile Impressions in a Car Interior (자동차 인테리어의 촉감 평가를 위한 대표감성 추출)

  • There are few that evaluate tactile emotion as it pertains to car interior parts, while studies on visual evaluations of car interiors as well as usability tests in a visual sense are numerous. The purpose of this study is to determine typical in-vehicle tactile emotions so that they can be used to evaluate tactile impressions of car interior parts. 52 words related to tactile impressions of car interiors were gathered from a survey in conjunction with an in-vehicle test, interviews with the car salespersons, and an analysis of car reviews. After a factor analysis with 52 words, 10 categories of major tactile emotions were clustered. These were roughness, toughness, friction, comfortability, stiffness, softness, temperature, sleekness, familiarity, and flexibility. These representative tactile emotions regarding a car interior can be used to evaluate tactile impressions of surfaces such as leather, plastic, metal and wood when used as parts in car interiors.

A Study on the Mobile Phone Design Image Comparison in the State of Folding and Unfolding (폴더 여닫이에 따른 휴대폰 디자인 이미지 비교 연구)

  • This study is designed to extract sensibility words of mobile phone image and analyze the relational patterns among those words to develope a sensibility model for mobile phone design. We expected the different sensibility scale would be developed according to the case of open or closed. The 25 representative words were abstracted as a result of words collection. As a result of the factor analysis of sensibility evaluation for mobile phone, the mobile phone design image was different according to the state of folding and unfolding. In the state of folder unfolding, the first factor was named as 'cool', the second factor as 'soft' and the third factor as 'handy'. In the state of folding, the first factor was named as 'stylish', the second factor as 'variegated' and the third factor as 'hard'.

  • 특정 사람에 대해 느끼는 이미지 또는 특정 사람이 가지는 이미지를 어떻게 평가하고 나타낼 수 있을까\ulcorner 본 연구에서는 사람에 대해 가지는 이미지를 표준적인 감성 어휘 척도를 활용하여 모델이 가지는 감성이미지가 무엇인지를 비교평가 할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 연구 대상으로는 국내 화장품 회사의 모델을 활용하였다. 4명의 모델을 전체와 부분 모습의 두 가지 형태로 제시하면서 각 인물이 가진 이미지를 평가하게 하였다. Personal 감성이미지를 평가하기 위해서 사람의 특성이나 이미지를 묘사하는 형용사 쌍 103개를 이용하였다. 모델 이미지에 대한 평가 반응은 요인분석을 통해 7개의 감성어휘 요인으로 나타났다. 우아한-천박한, 신선감-답답함, 편안함-불편함, 순수함-가식적인, 세련미-촌스러운, 진취성-보수성, 여성성-남성성, 4명의 모델들은 이 7가지 감성 이미지 요인에 따라 상호 차별적으로 나타났다. 인물 감성이미지는 감성적 어휘로 표현됨과 동시에 각 인물이 가진 고유하고 대표적인 personal image로 나타낼 수 있는가를 보여줄 수 있엇다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 감성이미지척도는 사람의 이미지를 평가하는 대표적인 감성척도로 이용될 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 특정 제품을 나타내는 모델이 일반인들에 어떤 이미지를 전달하는지 그리고 모델의 이미지와 제품이 지향하는 이미지와 얼마나 일치하는지를 평가할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문은 제품을 설계하는데 있어서 고객의 감성을 구체적인 디자인 요소로 변환하는 감성공학적 디자인 요소변환 지원 시스템을 설계하는데 목적이 있다. 감성공학적 디자인 요소변환 지원 시스템은 감성 데이터 처리 서브시스템, 디자인 요소변환 서브시스템, 형상 데이터 처리 서브시스템 등 크게 세 가지의 서브시스템으로구성된다. 감성 데이터 처리 서브시스템은 고객의 제품에 대한 정성적 감성을 분석하여 디지인 요소와 상관성을 나타내기 위한 시스템으로서, 제품을 표현하는 감성어휘를 추출하고 이를 분석하여 디자인 요소로 변환할 수 있게 해주는 데이터베이스를 구축하는 것이다. 디자인 요소변 환 서브시스템은 고객이 원하는 제품의 이미지를 구체적인 디자인 요소와 연결하는 추론 시스템으로서 감성 데이터베이스에 저장되어 있는 어휘 중에서 고객이 선택한 감성어휘에 대해 퍼지 추론을 이용하 여 디자인 요소와의 연결관계를 형성하게 된다. 형상 데이터 처리 서브시스템은 제품의 아이템/카테고 리에 대한 형상을 데이터베이스로 가지고 있으며, 디자인 요소변환 서브시스템에의해선정된 제품정보와 데이터베이스를 연결하여고객이 원하는 제품이 구체적으로 어떠한 형상을 가지게 되는가를 보여주게 된다.
