The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends on educational development cooperation in Korea with the comparative perspectives. In order to do this, this study analyzed the both of academic journal articles(N=184) and policy research reports(N=85) published in Korea from 1993 to 2015, based on the following criteria: research topic, purpose, target, and the characteristics of publication. As the result of the contents analysis, educational development cooperation researches were expanded and diversified in accordance with changes in development cooperation policy in Korea, and also found following three characteristics. First, the overall trend of the researches focused mainly on a theocratical basis in order to implement educational ODA projects rather than academic interests. Second, there were small number of academic research dealing with effectiveness or limitation of specific educational ODA projects, despite of a large portion of them. Third, there was a lack of academic interaction between education society and international development cooperation society. Based on these findings, this study discussed the implication for the future educational development cooperation research.

The use of WiFi is gradually increasing through the spread of mobile terminals and the development of data communication. Mobile Internet usage has been steadily increasing from the 2000s to the present. Almost all households in Korea have smart devices, and 90% of the population uses mobile Internet. Due to this trend, the government is currently constructing public WiFi zones in dense urban areas as a way to reduce communication costs. The WiFi usage in the public WiFi zone is increasing every year. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method for using such public WiFi efficiently. A mobile terminal collects WiFi information and constructs a WiFi zone in a map using a concave hull algorithm. In the map, the mobile terminal provides a route through many public WiFi areas. As a result, the WiFi usage of the mobile terminal is increased through more WiFi regions.

Purpose: This study reports on a series of patients with chronic lateral ankle instability that underwent the Brostrom procedure with suture tape augmentation and allowed early unrestricted weight-bearing in a simple stirrup brace. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on 36 patients (22 males and 14 females of mean age 34 years [range 23~48 years]) with chronic lateral ankle instability treated using the Brostrom procedure using suture tape augmentation and inferior extensor retinaculum reinforcement with a fiber-wire connected to a SwiveLock screw inserted into the talus. When possible, patients started unrestricted weight-bearing in a stirrup brace from the third postoperative day. Demographics and functional outcomes, including American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle-hindfoot, visual analogue scale (VAS), and satisfaction scores, were recorded. In addition, varus stress radiographs obtained before and 24 months after surgery were compared. Patients were followed for a mean 29 months (range 25~40 months). Results: Mean AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scores increased from 51 points preoperatively to 92 points at final follow-up, and mean VAS decreased from 6.8 to 1.2 points. Mean patient satisfaction scores were 8.7 at 12 months and 9.6 at 24 months. Stress radiographs demonstrated that talar tilt decreased from a mean 18 degrees preoperatively to 7 degrees at 24 months. Conclusion: Early unrestricted weight-bearing in a stirrup brace following the Brostrom procedure with suture tape augmentation is a successful protocol for treating chronic lateral ankle instability.

Under a large-scale client-server service environment, e.g., online games, encrypting data for acquiring information security often causes overload to the server and hence degradation of the service itself. Therefore, for reducing encryption payload, it is necessary to use adequately an efficient encryption scheme with respect to the security requirements of transmission data. In this paper, we propose a packet encryption scheme using multiple cryptosystems to realize such capability, which assigns a different cryptosystem according to the security requirements level. The proposed encryption scheme is applicable to internet services with heavy traffic ratios in which different kinds of data packets are incessantly transmitted between clients and servers. To show its effectiveness and superiority, the performance of the proposed encryption scheme is verified by experiments.

In order to determine the level of awareness of nuclear power generation and Fukushima contaminated water, this study conducted an online survey targeting the general public living in the Busan area and analyzed a total of 201 questionnaires. Independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance were conducted to verify differences in variables according to the characteristics of the study subjects, and correlation analysis was conducted to confirm the correlation between variables. First, the results of the study showed that women had a more negative perception of nuclear power generation and Fukushima contaminated water than men. In terms of age, it was found that people in their 40s and older had a high level of negative perception. In terms of political inclination, progressive respondents showed a higher negative perception toward nuclear power generation and Fukushima contaminated water. Second, information on nuclear energy was most often collected through the Internet, broadcasting, and SNS. Third, the higher the negative perception of nuclear power generation, the more negative the results were in terms of issues of concern following the discharge of contaminated water at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Nuclear power cannot be separated from human life. Therefore, it is believed that accurate information and a knowledge delivery system are needed to ensure correct awareness of nuclear power generation.

Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is main subtype of primary thyroid lymphoma and can be histologically transformed from a low-grade B-cell lymphoma. The characteristics and treatment guidelines of these particular DLBCL have not been fully established. The mainstay of treatment of primary thyroid DLBCL is multimodality treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Meanwhile, surgery can be considered only for diagnosis or alleviation of airway compressive symptoms. A 57-year-old female visited our outpatient clinic for recently enlarged long-held anterior neck mass. A thyroid mass compressing the airway and esophagus was identified on imaging, which was diagnosed as MALT lymphoma by excisional biopsy. After staging, the patient underwent total thyroidectomy with regional lymph node dissection for treatment of stage IIE MALT lymphoma and relieving airway compromise symptoms. The final diagnosis was DLBCL transformed from MALT Lymphoma, and chemotherapy was additionally performed. We report this rare experience with a review of literature.

The Korean spine geometry and property data for researchers were made by KISTI and Catholic Institute for Applied Anatomy. We took whole spine CT, X-Ray, BMD scan for making high resolution cross-sectional spine images using more 20 donated cadavers(60 - 80 years). Then we constructed 3-dimensional volume model using serial CT images by Mimics software. The major morphometric parameters of vertebrae were measured. Mechanical motion and property data were obtained by the same cadavers using the DEXA for BMD and the spine simulator. The Korean spine geometry and property data could be used for research and development of medical device.

노동계급은 다양한 형태의 내적 이질성을 지니고 있으며, 신자유주의 경제정책과 구조조정 과정에서 고용형태에 따른 이질성은 계급균열로 발달하며 노동계급 내적 이질성 논의의 핵심을 구성하게 되었다. 국내의 선행 연구들도 정규직과 비정규직 사이의 물질적 존재조건의 양극화 추세와 사회적 관계의 위계적 배제적 성격을 확인해 주고 있다. 하지만 정규직과 비정규직 사이의 계급균열이 극복되고 노동계급의 내적 통합과 계급형성 과정을 이룰 수 있는지에 대한 논의로 발전하지는 못했다. 본 연구는 계급균열의 극복과 노동계급 통합의 가능성을 검토하기 위해 계급균열의 핵심인 비정규직 노동자 문제를 둘러싼 정규직 비정규직의 의식 수준의 비교연구를 실시한다. 본 연구는 민주노총 공공운수연맹 노동조합원들에 대한 설문조사와 심층면접 연구를 통해 계급균열의 존재를 확인하고 그 원인과 의미를 분석하였다. 첫째, 정규직과 비정규직 노동자들은 비정규직 문제에 대한 인식을 공유하고 있지만 구체적 해결책에 대해서는 입장 차이를 보임으로써 고용형태에 따른 계급균열은 존재하며, 경제위기 이후에도 해소되지 않고 고착화되고 있음을 확인시켜 주었다. 둘째, 고용형태에 따른 계급내적 균열이 비정규직 문제 인식과 추상적 원칙 수준에서는 유의미한 의식 차이를 보이지 않지만 비정규직 문제 해결을 위한 구체적 해결책에 대해 유의미한 입장 차이를 보이는 것은 정규직과 비정규직 사이의 물질적 이해관계의 차이 때문이다. 정규직 노동자들은 비정규직 노동자들의 고용안정성과 노동조건의 개선을 허용하더라도 자신들의 이해관계가 위협받지 않는 수준에서 이루어져야 한다고 보는 것이다. 셋째, 정규직 노동자들이 추상적 원칙 수준에서는 비정규직 노동자들과 동질성을 보이지만 구체적 대안에서 차별성을 보이는 것은 정규직 노동자들의 의식의 양면성을 표현하는 것이며, 물질적 이해관계에 기초한 개인적 수준의 합리성과 계급적 원칙에 기초한 계급적 수준의 합리성이 갈등하고 있는 것이다. 넷째, 정규직 노동자들의 주관성 속에서 개인적 합리성과 계급적 합리성이 갈등하는 정도는 노동조합 가입 여부 및 소속 노동조합의 정체성, 즉 이익집단 정체성 혹은 계급조직 정체성에 의해 결정된다. 여기에 계급조직 정체성을 지닌 민주노조들이 노동계급 계급균열을 극복하고 계급형성을 이루는데 기여할 수 있다는 실천적 함의가 있다.

Background: Research in environmental health (EH) is of crucial strategic importance for contemporary society. It is becoming even more critical in light of the increasingly rapid pace of environmental changes, opportunities, and threats. Objectives: This study aimed to identify trends and the prospective of environmental health research using SWOT analysis. Methods: The trends in environmental health research were reviewed in previous studies and reports. Reviewed manuscripts were searched for using the keywords of 'environmental health' and 'environmental hygiene' in the KCI (Korean Journal of Citation Index), KISS (Korean Academic Information), PubMed, and Google Scholar. Results: It is essential to center the EH research agenda around key priorities focusing on technological innovation, job creation, and the increasingly prominent role of the private sector. Given the rapidly evolving global sustainability agenda, greater clarity on the ever-increasing sources of complexity and growing expectations of the public might be needed. This requires the identification of criteria to identify EH research priorities with the ultimate goal of maximizing societal benefit. Public health relevance, such as extent and severity of health impact, level of exposure, and inequalities of effects, could be included. Conclusions: Considering the recent interest in and importance of environmental health, a comprehensive approach to environmental health research should be required through the application of the latest science and technology, citizen participation, and environmental health surveillance systems.

Plato's Laws, Bk. 10 is made up of cryptically concise expressions and complex arguments, so that it is not simple to understand it. In this essay I would like to make use of Stoic perspective as an interpretative instrument, which would enable me, I hope, to reconstruct the main arguments of the Laws, Bk. 10 into an intelligible form. Through this approach we would have an opportunity to meet with some important philosophical ideas of Plato which did not reveal themselves clearly in other, especially early and middle dialogues. These ideas comprise the inseparability of the soul from the body, the intellectualization of nature, the human being as a part of the cosmos and the extensional overlapping of the moral law and the natural law. And at the same time my study would result in making a suggestion for history of reception. That is, in this paper I will find some grounds in the tenth book of the Laws that would show how great the influence of Plato upon the Stoics was. For we have but little knowledge about the possibility of the power of Plato's influence upon the Stoics, even though the scholarship on the Stoics until now shed some light on the features and range of Aristotle's influence upon them.
