Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of animal carcasses treatment and quarantine management of infectious diseases of livestock, and to present the effectiveness of quarantine and follow-up management of livestock infectious diseases. Method: Actually, a livestock epidemic occurred and the burial site and burial management facility that treated livestock carcasses were visited on-site to analyze the management status and problems. Result: The burial method of livestock outbreaks of livestock infectious diseases and the long-term follow-up management accordingly requires a large amount of manpower and budget to be spent. For example, it can be seen that it is an inefficient quarantine system. Conclusion: It is necessary to review plans for the establishment of integrated livestock infectious animal carcasses treatment facilities at the level of metropolitan cities, districts, and municipalities with the government, where there is no fear of secondary infectious disease transmission and no follow-up management is required.

With the worldwide spread of African swine fever, interest in livestock epidemics is growing. Livestock transport vehicles are the main cause of the spread of livestock epidemics, but no empirical quarantine procedures and standards related to the mobility of livestock transport vehicles in South Korea. This study extracted livestock-related vehicles' trajectory by utilizing the facility visit history data from the Korea Animal Health Integrated System and the DTG (Digital Tachograph) data from the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and presented them as exposure indexes aggregating the link-time occupancy of each vehicle. As a result, a total of 274,519 livestock-related vehicle trajectories were extracted, and exposure values by link and zone were quantitatively derived. Through this study, it is expected that prior monitoring of livestock transport vehicles and the establishment of post-disaster prevention policies would be provided.

가축사료가 인간의 건강 위해의 잠재적 원인의 하나라고 생각되지 않았던 것이, 치근 다양한 식품안전 위기로부터 사료도 식품안전과 관련이 있다는 것이 명백하게 되었다. 소해면상뇌증(일명 광우병)의 발생이 반추동물에 포유동물 육골분사료 급여와 관련되어 인간의 CJD 와의 관련가능성, 1998년 citrus pulp의 다이옥신 오염사례, 2001년의 사료의 다이옥신 오염과 농장에 영향을 미친 가축사료의 호르몬(MPA) 오염 등이 가축사료 안전성과 관련된 사례가 유럽 도처에 있었다. 이러한 사건의 모두는 가축사료의 안전에 대한 주의를 필요로 하고 있다. 이러한 특정의 문제 외에 가축사료와 관련하는 잠재적 위해를 주는 것은 마이코톡신(사료원료의 곰팡이 생성으로 인한)을 포함하여 살모넬라균속과 같은 전염성 물질, 제초제, 살균제등의 농약잔류 및 산업/환경 등에 의한 다른 외부 오염물(수은, PCB, 납, 카드뮴) 등이 있다. 가축과 인간의 건강에 잠재적인 영향과 사료품질은 농장에서 사료 원인 작물의 성장에서부터 곡물 수확 시까지 모든 단계에서 좋은 상황에서 이루어져야 하고, 농장에서부터 철저하게 관리하는 사료의 안전한 이용을 위한 가이드라인이 설정되어 있다.

농림부는 지난 8월 3일 가축전염병 가운데 양.염소에 대한 정의를 농가를 포함한 모든 국민이 이해하기 쉽게 정비하고, 가축의 소유자 또는 관리자에게도 가축전염병의 신고의무를 부과하며, 병성감정 실시결과 인수공통전염병으로 확인된 경우 이를 질병관리본부장에게 통보하도록 하여 인체감염을 예방할 수 있도록 하고, 가축방역에 필요한 조치명령 항목에 면역요법을 추가하는 등 현행 제도의 운영상 나타난 일부 미비점을 개선.보완하여 개정법률을 공포하였다. 이 법은 6개월이 경과한 날부터 시행되며 개정전문은 다음과 같다.

올해부터 가축분뇨는 해양투기가 전면 중단되고 육상에서 처리됨에 따라 가축분뇨액비의 자원화가 더욱 절실히 요구되고 있다. 가축분뇨액비의 품질을 향상시키고 작물재배 활용기술의 조기정착을 통한 자연순환농업을 실천하여 화학비료 사용량을 줄이고 환경오염을 방지한다.
