The Service Quality Measurement of Apparel Stores (의류 점포의 서비스 품질 척도)

  • This study was aimed at comparing service quality measurements of apparel stores. It Also presented an outcome to a company which service measurement worked better and more efficient. Four measures were used in this research such as SERVQUAL, SERVPERF, weighted SERVQUAL and weigthe SERVPERF. In the empirical research statistical data were collected in June of 1998. The subjects in the study were 244 women in their 20s. The SPSS was used to analyze data, Frequency percentage points Factor Analysis Cronbach's a and regression were put into use in the study. From the result of it the SERVPERF was proven to have a good reliability and validity. It also well described an overall service quality of apparel stores. The SERVPERF is found out to be one of the best measurement in this study.

A New Similarity Measure based on Separation of Common Ratings for Collaborative Filtering

  • Among various implementation techniques of recommender systems, collaborative filtering selects nearest neighbors with high similarity based on past rating history, recommends products preferred by them, and has been successfully utilized by many commercial sites. Accurate estimation of similarity is an important factor that determines performance of the system. Various similarity measures have been developed, which are mostly based on integrating traditional similarity measures and several indices already developed. This study suggests a similarity measure of a novel approach. It separates the common rating area between two users by the magnitude of ratings, estimates similarity for each subarea, and integrates them with weights. This enables identifying similar subareas and reflecting it onto a final similarity value. Performance evaluation using two open datasets is conducted, resulting in that the proposed outperforms the previous one in terms of prediction accuracy, rank accuracy, and mean average precision especially with the dense dataset. The proposed similarity measure is expected to be utilized in various commercial systems for recommending products more suited to user preference.

  • The Face Stimulus Assessment is an efficient projective drawing test developed by Betts. This paper categorizes scales which Betts suggested into the following five groups: accuracy of painting, color fit, perception of shape, precision of drawing, and space usage. In this paper, a computer algorithm which objectively evaluates these five scales is suggested. The proposed algorithm defines the areas of the lip, eyes, hair, etc. which take on significant roles in the evaluation of the FSA and based on these factors, it calculates the grade of each scale through the main color and color ratio. The consistency of evaluations between the computer algorithm and the art therapist is measured by the Quadratic Weighted Kappa. By providing objectivity and consistency, the computer algorithm is expected to solve the problem of uncertainty found in art therapists' evaluations of projective drawing tests caused by their subjective judgment, experience, and intuition.
