The purpose of the research is to critically review the major changes of marriages and families during the 20th & 21st centuries and its impact on family relations. Especially, three topics that is, changes in the meaning of marriage, changes in the gender role and sexuality, and changes in the life span were reviewed in terms of how those changes had impacts on each family members and who had been influenced most. Also, how those kinds of changes will have influences on marriage and family relations. Finally, based on the review implications and research agendas for the family scholars were added.

This study is a qualitative study to explore caring of a mentally disabled family using mental rehabilitation facilities. As a result of the analysis, the life of a mentally disabled family appeared in 6 topics and 12 sub-themes. Life before the outbreak was warm and comfortable like an electric stove, and a frustrating and difficult life like a parrot in a cage due to family conflicts. The feeling of looking at the child who is starting to develop symptoms is fear and hopelessness that is hard to see ahead, and a sense of guilt for a child trapped in a disease before blooming his life. Forced hospitalization, and my feelings were torn apart, and my thoughts were confused by opaque recovery and worries about future life. The experience I felt as the disease lasted for a long time and hospitalized and discharged repeatedly feared that the mental illness of the family would be known to the people around me, and found that they struggled to cope with repeated recurrence and worsening symptoms. While using mental rehabilitation facilities, the changed life was comforted in a comfortable shelter, and turned out that there was hope for the future and that there was room to smile. The life expected in the future and the theme of hope turned out to be grateful for small changes and determined to be a warm fence for recovery.

The U.S. military has been developing support policies for the soldiers dispatched overseas and their families since WWI. It is classified by the period nowadyas as follows. Prior to the dispatch, support for money and housing issues is mainly provided. During the dispatch, the DOD level community is formed to strengthen relations between the soldiers and their families, check their children's academic achievements, etc. After returning to the military, the mental and physical health care for not only the soldiers but also their families is provided. Based on these facts, this research proposes that the ROK MND's overseas dispatch instruction upgrade to law in order to provide housing support, even if the families don't live in military houses. Simultaneously, an online community is needed to be open for sharing information between them, their children's educational achievements, etc. More importantly, the mental health care for both the sodiers and their families is provided for a certain period.

Care of people with severe disabilities requires care throughout their life cycle compared to non-disabled families. For this reason, carers of severely handicapped families are highly likely to have negative feelings throughout the family as well as daily stress. Disabled families also have a high rate of experiencing difficulties between non-disabled children or married couples in life centered on the disabled. In particular, the rapid aging in Korea affects the lives of the elderly disabilities along with the aging of the caregivers. The study explored alternatives to realistic support through the past and present experiences of caregivers with disabilities through qualitative research methods, and derived hopes and expectations for the future as follows.First, after confirming the disability for infants and toddlers with disabilities, information about the support system or system is provided from the rating agency. Second, providing "customized care support" suitable for the type of disability or individual characteristics at the social, political, institutional, and economic levels. Third, the provision of programs for non-disabled children and the provision of healing programs only for families with disabilities or those with disabilities. Fourth, the provision of spaces and programs that provide rest and rest for adults with disabilities. Fifth, the application of a long-term care system for the elderly reflecting the aging age of the disabled and institutionalization of community care for the disabled. The research is meaningful in that it presents discussion points for improving the quality of life of adults and the elderly with disabilities.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing on the burden on the family caregivers of patient with more than second degree burn. The participants of this study were 120 family caregivers sampled for convenience from 4 Burn hospitals in D, S, B, P cities in South Korea. Data analysis was performed by t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Multiple linear regression. According to the result, the burden of assess & mean of care and the future of the patient was the highest score for family caregivers. Factors that affect the burden of family caregiver with burn patients were marital status, time, care, skin transplants, body surface area (%) and these factors explained 25.9%. This study concludes that intervention program is developed to reduce physical and emotional burden and nursing care services is required to adjust the amount time to care for the family caregivers with burn patients for a long time.

The purpose of this study was to offer a foundation of developing the more qualitative and individual nursing-intervention strategy for allowing married female immigrants and their children of multi-cultural families to possibly grow and develop as a Korean without discrimination and prejudice in Korean society. Period of data collection in this study was from April 2010 to May 2011. Subjects of this study are totally 13 married female immigrants of multi-cultural families who have preschool children of dwelling in T city. Data analysis is qualitative research that applied Spradley(1990)'s culture-descriptive method. The results were as follows : The common elements, which are shown in married female immigrants, children, and family members of multi-cultural families, were indicated to "social prejudice", "exclusive family atmosphere", "economic difficulty", "coexistent different culture".

This paper deals with the relations between the quality of life and the life satisfaction of the elderly based on the 2008 national survey data of the actual living condition of the elderly and welfare need. We found that the questions about the quality of life is categorized by three groups such as self consolidation, harmony between generations and hope for later activity, which is the order of the power of the affection to life satisfaction. The result of this paper could be used as a basic document for taking efficient actions for the welfare services to the elderly.
