Aging Characteristics of Power Transformer Oil and Development of its Analysis using KOSM (전력용 변압기유의 열화 특성에 KSOM에 의한 분석기법 개발)

  • In power system, substation facilities have become too complex and large according to extended power system. Also, some facilities becorre old and often break down unexpectedly. In order to improve the sectrity of transformer out of substation facilities, the development of diagnosis technique to transformer is very needed. In this paper, we developed a method to be analysis the origin and degree of aging by KSOM based on the dissolved gases in power transfonrer. KSOM can do topological mapping for the multi-dimensional pattern based on the dissolved gases to two dimensional plane. And potential possibility and degree of aging for nonna1 transfonrer are presented using the proposed quantitative criterion. Furtherrrore, the aging process of transfonrer is analyzed based on the proposed criterion to special transfonrer. To demonstrate the validity of peoposed method, case study is performed and its results are presented.sented.

A Study on the Age Degradation Kinetics of Pole Transformer Oil (주상변압기 절연유의 경년열화반응 속도론에 관한 연구)

  • In the paper, aging of insulating oil in pole transformer has been studied by performing accelerated thermal aging test. Dissolved gases were extracted by air bubbling method. Concentration of dissolved gases were modified by extraction ratio of each gases in insulating oil. Aging of insulating materials were proceeded by thermal degradation and oxidation reaction. Both of the reactions followed zeroch order kinetics. Formation rate equations for hydrocarbons, carbon oxides, and hydrogen were derived. It was conformed by gas analysis and UV-Visible spectrophotometric method that iron core and copper coil in pole transformer act as catalyst during the aging process.

  • 전력계통의 가장 중요한 설비인 전력용 유입변압기를 감시 진단하는 장치로서 유중가스 분석과 AE(Acoustic Emission) 센서를 이용한 PD 분석기능을 동시에 탑재한 진단 장치를 개발하였다. 두가지의 유입 변압기 진단 솔루션이 만났을때 얻어지는 시너지 효과에 대하여 분석하고 장치의 여러 가지 기능 및 활용방안에 대하여 논하였다.

  • For the fault diagnosis of power transformer, we develop a diagnosis algorithm based on support vector machine. The proposed fault diagnosis system consists of data acquisition, fault/normal diagnosis, and identification of fault. In data acquisition part, concentrated gases are extracted from transformer for data gas analysis. In fault/normal diagnosis part, KEPCO based decision rule is performed to separate normal state from fault types. The determination of fault type is executed by multi-class SVM in identification part. As the simulation results to verify the effectiveness, the proposed method showed more improved classification results than conventional methods.
