Study on the Effects of Entrepreneurial Expectancy on Entrepreneurial Outcome and Expect Growth intentions -Comparative Study between Korea and China Entrepreneur- (창업에 대한 기대가 창업 창출 및 성장의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -한 중 기업가의 특성 비교 중심으로-)

  • In this paper, the relation model for three important entrepreneurial entities are studied based on the expectation theory for entrepreneurs. The three entrepreneurial entities include entrepreneurial expectancy, entrepreneurial outcome and expect growth intentions. In this study, the entrepreneurial expectancy is defined as the expectation about establishment, while entrepreneurial outcome and expect growth are related to entrepreneur's dominant idea for enterprises' operation and management. Based on the investigation data via questionnaire for 489 subjects, the relation model hypothesis for the three entrepreneurial entities is tested using structural equation model analysis. According to the analysis result, arguments can be made that entrepreneurial expectancy can have a significant positive effect on realization of successful entrepreneurial activities, and entrepreneurial outcome may have a significant positive effect on realization of expect growth intentions. Therefore, a kind of mutual promotion model can be observed among the three entrepreneurial entities. In addition, the proposed relation model is applied to both Korean and Chinese entrepreneur, and their differences are compared and discussed.

  • At the present time, the role and importance of information retrieval has greatly increased for two main reasons: the coverage of the searchable collections is now extensive and collection size may exceed several million documents; further more, the search results can now be obtained more or less instantaneously using online procedures and computer terminal devices that provide interaction and communication between system and users. The large collection size make it plausible to the users that relevant information will in fact be retrieved as a result of a search operation, and the probability of obtaining the search output without delay creates a substantial user demand for the retrieval services.

  • As the Production technology Progresses, the necessity to consider consumers needs being complex and diverse in the phase of developing product is being more important. However, existing system of consumers needs being structured with the view of marketing is too abstractive and categorical to apply in the phase of developing product. So, the goal of this study is to establish method that structuralize customer's needs for applying practically in the phase of the product concept development and to suggest guidelines to needs structuralization with emphasis on the view of cognitive science/cognitive psychology. The major findings of this study is summerized as follows. First, to structuralize not only customer's needs category which being used as standard to assort needs in existing way but also practical needs features, it must contain the concept of emotion that is actual product's meaning to customers in its structure, and for this reason, the structuralized needs with emotions can be defined as emotional needs structure. Second, categorization of concept will be divided as essential concept and referential concept centering around symbolic concept, and from this supposition, emotional needs structure can be composed as benefit concept(essential concept), customer needs(referential concept) centering around emotion(symbolic concept).

  • 오늘날은 정보의 홍수라고 표현이 될 만큼 많은 양의 정보를 어디서나 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 많은 양의 정보 중 사람들은 그들이 필요한 정보를 얻기 위하여 인터넷을 사용하며 대부분의 사용자들이 포털 사이트의 검색 서비스를 통하여 그들이 원하는 정보를 검색하고 얻고 있다. 그러나 전통적인 여과 과정을 통해 검증된 인쇄 자원과는 다르게 인터넷상에 있는 자원은 대부분 여과되어 있다고 볼 수 없다. 인터넷상에서 발견되는 정보가 주로 여과되지 않은 상태라는 점을 이해하는 것도 정보를 얻는 사용자 입장에서 매우 중요하다. 그런 의미에서 웹에서는 제공되는 정보에 대한 선정, 조직화, 검색에 대한 표준화가 아직 없기 때문에, 단순히 웹 검색 엔진을 이용한 검색의 결과만을 통해서 원하는 정보를 찾는 것은 쉽 지가 않다(Spink et al, 1999). 비록 원하던 정보를 얻었다 해도 획득한 정보가 신뢰할 만한 것인지를 판단하기가 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 그러한 요구에 부응하기 위해 검색 서비스에 대한 사용자 선호 요인을 선별하고 설문 조사를 통해 검증하고자 한다. 본 연구는 크게 문헌 연구와 실증 연구로 구별되며, 실증 분석에서는 검색 서비스를 사용해 본 경험이 있는 인터넷 사용자를 대상으로 설문을 인터넷 사이트와 설문지를 배부하는 형식으로 진행하여, 통계 패키지를 이용 결과를 분석하였다. 문헌 연구에 따르면 인터넷 사이트를 사용하는데 있어서, 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 인지된 유용성, 흥미성, 시스템 품질, UI의 편의성이 있으며 본 연구에서도 이러한 요인을 중심으로 연구 모형을 정하였다. 이러한 요인들에 대하여 가설을 정해 실증 분석을 한 결과, 기본적으로 검색 서비스에 대한 인지된 유용성과 UI의 편의성은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 정보 품질, 서비스 연계성, 흥미 성, 시스템 품질은 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 정보 품질과 시스템 품질의 결과는 유의 수준에서 크게 넘어가지 않는 결과가 나와 반드시 영향을 미치지 못하는 것은 아니라고 조사되었다. 본 연구는 검색 서비스라는 특정 서비스에 대해서 사용자 선호에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 이는 학문적인 측면에서 기존의 통합적인 웹사이트 평가에 대한 연구의 확장을 가능케 하였고, 개인사용자 측면에서는 좀더 좋은 정보를 제공하는 검색 서비스에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있는 계기가 되었다고 할 수 있다.

The Development of an Instrument for the Measurement of Science Process Skills Using Line Graphs (그래프를 이용한 과학 탐구 능력 검사 도구의 개발)

  • The improvement of process skills has been one of the most important goals in secondary science education. To achieve this goal, it is essential to develop an instrument for evaluating inquiry skills in addition to improving science curricula, inquiry teaching methods, and other educational environment. There are a lot of instruments in testing science process skills in Korea as well as America and Europe. However, it has been difficult to find the instruments that have a characteristic in content and form. The purpose of this study is to develop a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating science process skills using line graph. This study examined the whole body of scientific process and identified 6 component skills. Three or four items for each component process skills were developed and revised by pilot test and field test. The instrument is considered valid and reliable, for the content validity is 78% and the reliability(KR-20) is 0.82. The discrimination index is 0.57 and difficulty index is 0.47, which also suffice the criteria of good test.

Development of Variation Marker of Myzus persicae by Altitude (고도에 따른 지역별 복숭아혹진딧물 집단 변이 마커 개발)

  • This study focused on the green peach aphid, Myzus persicae, as an indicator pest in Chinese cabbage cultivation to develop a genetic marker. We hypothesized that M. persicae gene flow is related to climate change. Genetic variation was analyzed using five local populations collected at different altitudes (157 m, 296 m, 560 m, 756 m and 932 m above sea level) in Hoengseong, Pyeongchang, and Gangneung areas, plus a laboratory strain used as an outgroup. There were no differences in ecological characteristics among strains. Esterase isozyme pattern and inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) PCR results showed significantly different bands between laboratory and wild, local populations. However, there was no difference among local populations. Partial fragments of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (mtCO I) were amplified and their nucleotide sequence was analyzed. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were detected in internal transcribed spacer-2 (ITS-2) and mtCO I regions among the five local populations. These SNPs can be use to discriminate different populations of M. persicae to monitor gene flow.

An Empirical Comparative Study of Overall Service Quality Path on Consumer Performance of B2C Electronic Commerce in Korea, China and Japan (한.중.일 3개국 B2C 전자상거래의 전반적 물류서비스 품질 영향경로와 고객성과에 관한 실증적 비교연구)

  • This paper is to conduct comparative analysis of the impact of overall logistics service quality and its different influence across countries in internet shopping mall context. After reviewing the different approaches given by the literature, SEM analysis was used to testify the hypotheses. A questionnaire based on personal survey was conducted from internet shopping mall users in Korea, China, Japan. This paper collected data from 786 respondents in the countries. Structural equation modeling was also applied to these data to test relationships among the variables in the study. The empirical results of this study are summarized as follows. First, overall logistics service quality of internet shopping mall has a positive direct effect on the consumer assurance as well as consumer satisfaction. Second, consumer assurance and consumer satisfaction have mediated effects between overall logistics service quality and post-purchasing behaviors intention. Third, its effect size of the '$GLSQ{\rightarrow}$ consumer assurance' and the '$GLSQ{\rightarrow}$ consumer satisfaction' links are the same in each country. However, that of the consumer assurance and the consumer satisfaction for the organizational performance are different for each country.

  • The purposes of this research was to examine the relationship between two forms of satisfaction, commitment and turnover intentions at organization, job. Also consistent with the Meyer et al(1993) notion of the three-component model of organizational commitment. Although researchers have examined organizational commitment in relation to a wide range of variables, there has been no discriminant validity of commitment at occupation and job. The purpose of the present article, are to compare the relation between satisfaction forms, commitment forms and turn intentions forms. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the proposed distinction between the three forms of commitment and two turnover intentions forms at the measurement level in the distribution industry(N=156). Results using structural equation analysis with AMOS18 showed that job satisfaction had an positive impact on job commitment forms. Organizational satisfaction positive impact on two turnover intentions forms. However it revealed that no significant relation between organizational satisfaction and job commitment, job commitment and job turnover intentions.

What Factors Affect on the Job Involvement of S/W Development Workers in the Small and Medium IT Enterprises (중소IT기업 S/W 개발인력의 직무몰입 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to find the factors that affect on the job involvement of S/W developer in the small and medium IT companies. We suggested structural model with two mediating variables, role conflicts and attitude of workers. The model considered job competency(job knowledge, technological competences, and communication skill) as independent variables which affect on the mediating variables directly and final dependent variable indirectly. The hypotheses tests showed that the job knowledge affected negatively on the role conflicts as the hypothesis assumed, but technological competences affected positively(reserve direction) on the role conflicts. This finding means that the more he/she has good job skill and technologies, the more does he required to do many things in the organization. The results of path analysis showed that attitude of workers mediated between the role conflicts and job involvement significantly. We concluded that although the workers are suffered from the role conflicts, it could be mitigated by their job knowledge and the favorite attitude toward their job, and finally they could more involve in their job.

The Asymmetric Relationship between Output Volatility and Growth : Evidence from the U.K. Industrial Production (영국 산업생산 자료에 나타난 성장률과 변동성간의 비대칭적 관계)

  • Prior research on the relationship between output volatility and growth has produced mixed results, failing to provide clear empirical evidence on the sign of the relationship. In this paper, we raise the possibility that such failure is due to misspecification in empirical models previously used, i.e., not taking into account the business cycle dependence of the volatility-growth relation. We set off with the conjecture that higher volatility exerts qualitatively different effect on growth depending on whether the economy is in expansion or contraction. We estimate a series of ARCH-type models with the monthly industrial production data of the U.K., and find strong evidence suggesting that the volatility-growth relation is positive when the economy is in expansion, while higher volatility lowers growth rate in the contraction phase. We also find evidence supporting that the volatility-growth relation estimated in the paper captures a a causal relation, not a bidirectional correlation.
