Minimum Travel Time Paths for ATIS in Urban Road Networks Using Genetic Algorithms (유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 도시도로망에서의 첨단 여행자 정보시스템(ATIS) 운영계획)

  • This paper discusses the problem of finding the Origin-Destination(O-D) shortest path in urban road networks that have variable special qualifies such as time windows for passing as well as geometrical special qualities such as U-turn and left-turn prohibition. The focus of this paper is motivated by the problem of finding minimum travel time paths for an advanced traveler information system (ATIS) in the context of intelligent transportation system(ITS) application. The transportation network with variable and geometrical special qualities is a more realistic representation of the urban road network in the real word. But, the traditional and existing shortest path algorithms can not search practical shortest path that variable special quality is reflected. This paper presents a shortest path algorithm which can search reasonable shortest path information for the urban ATIS application within a real time. The algorithm is based on genetic algorithm(GA). The high performance of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by computer simulations.

유압 베인펌프 내부 회전체의 역학적 거동시

  • 유압 Vane pump는 carming, rotor, vane에 의하여 둘러싸인 공간체적이 rotor의 회전과 함께 변화하면서 pump 작용을 한다. 즉 공간체적이 증가하는 동안은 유압이 저압으로 되어 흡입구에서 유압유를 흡입하고 vane의 존환점 (vane이 가장 많이 출한 점)을 지나면 공간용적이 감소하여 유압류는 고압으로 될 수 있도록 되어있다. 이때 vane은 관성력과 점성력 그리고 유압류의 압력에 의한 힘으로 vane 선단이 캠링의 내면에 밀착되어 회전하도록 되어있다. 유압 vane pump 베인 선단부의 윤활문제와 관련된 지금까지의 연구로서는 Hibi 등에 의한 압력평형형 베인모터, W.D Beck, T.C Edwards에 의한 베인형 콤푸렛셔 Ujiie 등에 의한 베인형 진공펌프, Ueno 등에 의한 가변용량형 베인펌프의 마찰특성에 관한 연구 및 베인 이간 현상에 관한 실험적 연구가 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 연구들의 베인과 캠링 슬라이딩 부분에 관한 취급들은 베인선단 슬라이딩 부분에 가해지는 변동가중이 불명확했기 때문데, 단순히 슬라이딩 부분의 면적이 작다는 이유로 단성유체 윤활상태일 것이라는 확정을 하였을 뿐, 실제적으로 어느 정도의 윤활 상태를 파악하기 위하여 회전하는 vane의 가학적인 거동을 확실하게 규명하고자 함이 본 연구의 목적이다.

Modeling and Analysis of Variable Wind Speed Turbine System Using Back to Back Converter (Back to bock 컨버터를 갖는 가변속 풍력터빈 시스템의 모델링과 해석)

  • This paper presents the simulation modeling and analysis of variable wind speed turbine system(VWTS) using the doubly fed induction generator(DFIG) connected the back to back converter system in the rotor side. In the simulation, using the model system which has the 660[kW] rated power, blade control and the dual converter system are modeled for verifying the control characteristics. The VWTS is controlled by the optimal pitch angle for maximum output power under the rated wind speed, and for the rated output power over the rated wind speed. And also power factor is controlled by the reactive power. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation results are compared with the actual data from the V47 VWTS located in Hangwon wind farm in Jeju-Do. According to the comparison of these results, this method shows excellent performance.

Feasibility of Backfire Control and Engine Performance with Different Valve Overlap Period of Hydrogen-Fueled Engine with External Mixture (흡기관 분사식 수소기관의 밸브오버랩 기간 변화에 따른 기관성능과 역화억제 가능성)

  • 고효율의 실현이 가능한 흡기관 분사식 수소기관의 역화 억제 가능성을 파악하고자 밸브 오버랩 기간의 변화에 따른 제반 기관성능과 역화가 발생되는 역화한계 당량비를 실험적으로 해석하였다. 실험에는 기계식 연속 가변밸브 타이밍 시스템이 부착된 연구용 수소기관을 사용하였다. 밸브 오버랩기간은 배기밸브 개폐시기를 고정하고 흡기밸브 캠의 위상각을 조절하여 변화시켰다. 해석결과 밸브 오버랩 기간의 감소에 따른 제반기관성능은 통상의 기관과 유사하지만 역화한계 당량비가 확장되어 초기 단계이지만 수소기관의 역화발생에 밸브오버랩 기간이 관여하는 것이 보였다. 기관 회전수 1600 rpm, WOT의 실험 조건에서 밸브 오버랩 기간을 $20^{\circ}CA$에서 $0^{\circ}CA$로 감소시킨 경우 역화한계당량비는 약 45% 정도 확장되고 정미 토크는 16% 감소했다.

  • 본 논문에서는 풍속이 가변하는 상황에서 풍력 발전 시스템의 동작을 모의 할 수 있는 풍력 터빈 시뮬레이터를 설계 구현하였다. 실제 풍속과 회전 속도를 실시간으로 입력받으며, 토크 계산에 필요한 블레이드의 효율을 주속비에 관한 함수로 처리하여 사용함으로써 복잡한 조작 없이 가변 풍속조건에서 블레이드에 의한 토크입력을 모의할 수 있게 하였다. 또한 풍력터빈 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 농형 유도발전기식 풍력발전시스템을 구성하여 계통에 연계하였을 경우 발생되는 무효전력을 보상하기 위해 펄스 다중화 보조브리지회로를 이용한 새로운 구조의 36-펄스 전압원 컨버터방식의 실시간 무효전력보상기(STATCOM)를 적용하였다. 그리고 동작특성을 분석하고 제어시스템의 성능해석을 위하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램인 EMTDC/PSCAD를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 실시하였으며, 축소모형 하드웨어 실험을 통해 실험을 통한 분석을 실시하였다.

Design of Nonlinear Controller for Variable Speed Wind Turbines based on Kalman Filter and Artificial Neural Network (칼만필터 및 인공신경망에 기반한 가변속 풍력발전 시스템을 위한 비선형 제어기 설계)

  • As the wind has become one of the fastest growing renewable energy sources, the key issue of wind energy conversion systems is how to efficiently operate the wind turbines in a wide range of wind speeds. Compared to fixed speed turbines, variable speed wind turbines feature higher energy yields, lower component stress and fewer grid connection power peaks. Generally, measurement of wind speed is required for the control of variable speed wind turbine system. However, wind speed measured by anemometers is not accurate owing to various reasons. In this work, a new control algorithm for variable speed wind turbine system based on Kalman filter which can be used for the estimation of wind speed and artificial neural network which can generate optimum rotor speed is proposed. Also, to verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, various simulation studies are carried out by using Simulink in Matlab.

Off-design performance analysis of radial inflow turbines with or without variable area guide vane (가변안내깃이 존재하거나 없는 구심터빈의 탈설계 성능해석)

  • An analysis model for off-design performance of radial inflow turbines with or without variable area guide vane is developed, where two important factors in loss models, total pressure ratio between variable area guide vane exit and scroll casing inlet and rotor loss coefficient are determined without experimental data. The analysis results show that the predicted trends with or without variable area guide vane are consistent with the experimental observations. The comparison of present method with the well-known NASA off-design performance analysis program shows that the mass flow rate and static efficiency by present analysis are in good agreement with those by the NASA program. Therefore, this method can be used to predict off-design performance of radial inflow turbines with validity of the loss models used by present analysis.

  • A Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) has double salient poles structure and the phase windings are wound in stator. SRM hase more simple structure that of other motor, thus manufacture cost is low, mechanically strong, reliable to a poor environment such as high temperature, and maintenance cost is low because of brushless. SRM needs position detector to get rotator position information for phase excitation and tachometer or encoder for constant speed operation. But, this paper doesn\`s use an encoder of high cost for velocity measurement of rotator. Instead of it, the algorithm for position detection and velocity estimation from simple slotted disk has been proposed and developed. To implement variable speed digital control system with velocity estimation algorithm, the TMS320F240-20MIPS fixed point arithmetic processor of TI corporation is used. The experimental results of the developing system are enable to control speed with wide range, not only single pulse, hard chopping mode and soft chopping, ut also variable speed control, and advance angle control.

  • In this paper a new hybrid-type control system is proposed which reduces the pump speed of an electro-hydraulic actuator consisting of a pressure-compensated variable displacement piston pump and a valve-controlled hydraulic cylinder, whenever the flow rate demand is low. In order to avoid interfering with the pressure regulator which also has an effect on swash plate angle, the pump speed is changed in proportion to the mean value of the speed component of position commands. Additionally a pressure switch is employed to prevent the system pressure from getting lower than a reference value. Based on computer simulation & experimental results, it is shown that the hybrid control can save the idling power up to 44% at a stand-by mode by reducing the pump speed from 1,800 rpm to 600 rpm without affecting the dynamic response of the electro-hydraulic actuator.

  • Even though the variable pitch control of a wind turbine blade is known as an effective component for power control over the rated wind speed, it has limited applicability to small wind turbines because of its relatively high cost on the price of small wind turbine. Instead, stall control is generally applied in the blade design without any additional cost. However, stall delay can frequently be caused by high turbulence around the turbine blade, and it can produce control failures through excessive rotational speed and overpowering the electrical generator. Therefore, a passive pitch control module should be considered, where the pitch moves with the aerodynamic forces of the blade and returns by the elastic restoring force. In this study, a method to calculate the pitch moment, torque, and thrust based on the lift and drag of the rotating blade wing was demonstrated, and several effective wing shapes were reviewed based on these forces. Their characteristics will be estimated with variable wind speed and be utilized as basic data for the design of the passive pitch control module.
