Optician Training System at a Professional School Education and Improvement Plan of Curriculum in the Department of Optical Science (전문대학 안경사 양성제도 및 안경광학과 교육과정 개선방안)

  • I concluded as follows after analyzing the problem of the curriculum in the Department of Optical Science at a college of professional education for the purpose of training desireable opticians. The years required for competing a course of study at the Department of Optical Science at a college of professonal education have to be extended from the present two school years to three years for the short run and have to be extended to four years for the long run. The distribution ratio of subjects in the slate examination should be readjusted and the field of contect lens. Also the system of the slate examination should strengthen by adding practical processing test with the present selective written examination. The Curriculum of department of Optical Science curriculum at a college of professional education should be reorganized reinforce experiment and practice, namely, the subject for experiment and practice, such as Making of specific glasses and Test method of phorpter etc, should be reinforced. The knowledge for goods should be included in clinical training and it is reasonable to constitute the theory vs the practice in the ratio of five to five. The number of the Department of Optical Science should be increased two or more for per forty students and it is desirabled that only the professors who major optical Science or opthalmic medical science, or have Optician Licence should give lecture. The experiment a practice should be enlarged and it is necessary to secure or to adopt practice hours, practice site, machinery and parts, practice assistant and etc. It is reasonable that clinical training include the knowledge of goods, business practice and etc. and that a practice examiner has the qualification as an optician who has education background higher that the college of professional education.

Effect of Calcium Compounds from Oyster Shell Bouind Fish Skin Gelatin Peptide in Calcium Deficient Rats (어피 젤라틴 펩티드와 결합한 굴껍질 유래 칼슘 화합물이 칼슘 결핍 흰쥐에 미치는 영향)

  • To utilize the oyster shell containing a lot of calcium, we investigated the bioavailability of calcium compounds from oyster shell. First, calcium oxide was prepared by burning of oyster shell at $1200^{\circ}C$. Its purity was approximately $98.5\%$. Calcium compounds, $CaCl_2$, and $CaHPO_4$, from the calcium oxide were prepared by chemical reaction. Effect on calcium absorption by the calcium compounds from oyster shell was improved using fish skin gelatin peptides.(FSGP), which was prepared by enzymatic hydrolysis of fish skin gelatin for 4hr with tuna pyloric caeca crude enzyme (TPCCE). in vitro experiment, calcium absorption by addition of FSGP in a mixture solution of calcium and phosphate was higher approximately $70\%$ than that by control. in vivo using calcium deficient rats, a group taken the diets with $3\%$ FSGP and $CaHPO_4$ was significantly improved amount of calcium and ash in femur and strength of femur. These results suggest that calcium compounds from oyster shell and FSGP could be used as an effective dietary calcium source.

Characteristics of Bacterial-Koji and Doenjang(soybean paste) Made by using Bacillus subtilis DJI (Bacillus subtilis DJI을 이용하여 제조된 세균형 코지와 속성된장의 특성)

  • One bacterium with high proteinase production and spore-forming ability was isolated from korean traditional soybean paste(doenjang). The isolated strain was identified as Bacillus subtilis, based on gram-staining, biochemical properties and l6S rRNA gene sequencing, and designated as B. subtilis DJI. Its growth rate was very fast, and it reached its stationary phase within 9 h, and then started to form spores. Bacterial-koji and doenjang were prepared using B. subtilis DJI. Chemical components of the doenjang were determined after 2 months of aging period: amino nitrogen 507 mg%, crude protein 14.3%, crude fat 4.8% and water 54.9%. The composition of total and free amino acids and their ratios of doenjang were changed during the aging period. Among total amino acids in DJI doenjang, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, leucine and arginine were the major amino acids. The fibrinolytic activities of DJI doenjang and traditional doenjangs were 909.7 units/ml and $363.3{\sim}618.6\;units/ml$, respectively. Flavor compounds of DJI doenjang and traditional doenjang were extracted by SDE(simultaneous steam distillation and extraction), and analyzed by GC/MS; DJI doenjang possessed the typically favorable flavor compounds in traditional korean doenjang, with reduced off-flavor compounds.

A Study on the Removal of Low-concentration Fluoride-ion by Modified Alumina (변형 알루미나를 이용한 저농도 불소이온 제거 연구)

  • The typical treatment method for fluoride polluted water is the flocculation and precipitation method which usually is capable of reducing the fluoride concentration down to the level of about 10 ppm. However, this method is no longer effective for the treatment of contaminated water having less than 10 ppm of fluorides. To remove fluorides in polluted water from the fluoride concentration between 1 to 10 ppm, several adsorbents were prepared mainly based on an activated alumina and the fluoride removal efficiencies of the adsorbents were analyzed. The best fluoride removal efficiency was obtained when the activated alumina treated by sulfuric acid was used as the adsorbent. A proper calcination temperature for the sulfuric acid contained activated alumina was found to be about $500^{\circ}C$. An adsorption isotherm for the adsorbent was also obtained by using Freundlich model. The values of the constants in Freundlich isotherm model were calculated to be K=6.63 and 1/n=0.29 based on the results obtained from the series of batch type adsorption experiments.

A Study on Shot Segmentation and Indexing of Language Education Videos by Content-based Visual Feature Analysis (교육용 어학 영상의 내용 기반 특징 분석에 의한 샷 구분 및 색인에 대한 연구)

  • As IT technology develops rapidly and the personal dissemination of smart devices increases, video material is especially used as a medium of information transmission among audiovisual materials. Video as an information service content has become an indispensable element, and it has been used in various ways such as unidirectional delivery through TV, interactive service through the Internet, and audiovisual library borrowing. Especially, in the Internet environment, the information provider tries to reduce the effort and cost for the processing of the provided information in view of the video service through the smart device. In addition, users want to utilize only the desired parts because of the burden on excessive network usage, time and space constraints. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance the usability of the video by automatically classifying, summarizing, and indexing similar parts of the contents. In this paper, we propose a method of automatically segmenting the shots that make up videos by analyzing the contents and characteristics of language education videos and indexing the detailed contents information of the linguistic videos by combining visual features. The accuracy of the semantic based shot segmentation is high, and it can be effectively applied to the summary service of language education videos.

  • 지금까지 분포형 모형 개발에 대한 많은 노력이 있음에도 불구하고 여러 제약사항들에 의해 잠재력을 보여주는 정도로 활용되어 왔으나, 최근 급속도로 발전하는 컴퓨터의 계산능력, DEM 등 디지털정보의 구축이 진행되어 오고 있고, GIS 및 인공위성 영상기법의 발달로 공간적인 비균질성을 고려하여 유출과정에서 운동역학적인 이론을 기반으로 물의 흐름을 수리학적으로 추적해 나가는 물리적기반의 분포형 유출모형의 활용도가 높아지고 있다. 본 모형개발에 있어 이론적 배경이 된 모형은 1998년부터 일본 교토대학 방재연구소 코지리 연구실에서 개발 중인 Hydro-BEAM으로 유역 물순환의 건전성을 평가하기 위하여 장기간의 유역 내 유량, 수질을 시계열 및 공간적으로 파악하여 유역의 영향평가를 위해 개발된 물리적 기반의 격자구조를 가진 분포형 장기유출 모형이다. 유출량 계산은 유역내 수평 유출량산정 모듈로서 평면 분포형의 격자형을, 연직 분포형으로는 $A{\sim}B$층의 수평유출량은 하천으로 유입하고, C층은 하천유량에 영향을 미치지 않는 지하수층으로 가정하는 다층모형을 이용해서 A층, 지표 및 하도흐름은 운동파 법(kinematic wave)으로, $B{\sim}C$층의 유출량은 선형저류법으로 계산하는 모형이다. 본 연구에서는 격자흐름방향을 4방향에서 8방향으로 개선하였고, 모형의 각종 수문매개변수들을 GIS와 연계하여 직접 입력할 수 있도록 하였으며, 물리적기반의 침투과정을 모의할 수 있도록 Green & Ampt모듈을 추가하고, 향후 레이더 강우 및 수치예보강우의 홍수유출예측을 염두에 두고 격자강우량을 활용할 수 있도록 하는 등 홍수유출해석을 위한 분포형 강우-유출모형으로 개선 하였고, 이를 남강댐유역에 적용해 봄으로써 모형의 적용성을 검토해 보고자 하였다. 홍수기동안의 지표흐름과 지표하 흐름의 시간적 변화와 공간적 분포를 모의할 수 있었으며, 전처리과정으로서 ArcGIS 혹은 ArcView등의 GIS 프로그램을 이용하여 모형에 필요한 ASCII형태의 입력 매개 변수 자료들을 가공하였다. 또한 후처리과정으로서 모형의 수행결과인 유역내의 유출량 분포 등을 GIS상에서 나타낼 수 있도록 ASCII형태로 출력하도록 구성하였다. 남강댐유역을 대상으로 유역을 500m의 정방형 격자로 분할하고 수계망을 통하여 유역 출구까지 운동파이론에 의해 추적 계산하였으며, 수문곡선 비교결과 재현성 높은 결과를 보여주었다. 모형의 정확성 및 실용성에 대한 보다 정확한 평가를 위해서는 향후 다양한 강우 사상 혹은 다양한 크기의 유역에 대한 유출량의 재현성 및 매개변수 등에 검증이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

  • In order to examine the antimicrobial effect on dairy processing facilities and products, Prunus mume extinct (PME) was applied to the pilot plant system of dairy industry and yogurt, PME showed thermal and pH stability in the wide spectrum of temperature ($40{\sim}150^{\circ}C$) and pH ($4{\sim}10$) and remarkable antimicrobial activities against dairy spoilage microorganisms. As the result of aseptic treatment of dairy processing facilities with PME microbial colony including coliform bacteria was not detected canpore to those detected in the control. In the level of PME concentration which inhibit the growth of putrefactive microorganisms we could produce yogurt with good scores of sensory evaluation.

Characterization of Crosslinked Poly(vinyl alcohol) Membranes for the Preparation of Composite Membranes and Its Application to Pervaporation Separation (복합막 제조를 위한 가교된 폴리비닐알코올 막의 특성 평가와 이를 이용한 투과증발 분리)

  • In the crosslining reaction of poly(vinyl alcohoJ)(PVA) with sulfur-succinic acid which had been established in our previous work, reaction temperature, 15$0^{\circ}C$, was so high to collapse the pore struc¬tures in support membrane for the preparation of composite membrane. Therefore, the efforts have been focused on lowering of the reaction temperature to 100$^{\circ}$C by using a catalysis, HC!. The newly established crosslinking reaction was characterized through the analysis of the chemical and thermal properties. From these results, the optimum conditions for the membrane preparation couId be drawn as followings : (i) reac¬tion temperature, 100 $^{\circ}C$,(ii) reaction time, 90 min, (iii) the concentration of the catalysis (HCD, 1.5%. Com¬posite membranes were fabricated by coating a casting solution containing PYA, sulfur-succinic acid and HCl on a support membrane followed by crosslinking it at 10$0^{\circ}C$. The resulting membranes were applied to the pervaporation separation of methyl-tert-butyl ether(MTBE)/methanol (MeOH) mixtures at 30, 40, and 5O$^{\circ}C$. The flux of 5.09 g/$m^2$hr at 5O$^{\circ}C$ and the highest separation factor of 1622 were obtained, respectively.

A Determination Model of the Data Transmission-Interval for Collecting Vehicular Information at WAVE-technology driven Highway by Simulation Method (모의실험을 이용한 WAVE기반 고속도로 차량정보 전송간격 결정 모델 연구)

  • This paper deals with the transmission interval of vehicle data in smart highway where WAVE (Wireless Access for Vehicular Environments) systems have been installed for advanced road infrastructure. The vehicle data could be collected at every second, which is containing location information of the vehicle as well the vehicle speed, RPM, fuel consuming and safety data. The safety data such as DTC code, can be collected through OBD-II. These vehicle data can be used for valuable contents for processing and providing traffic information. In this paper, we propose a model to decide the collection interval of vehicle information in real time environment. This model can change the transmission interval along with special and time-variant traffic condition based on the 32 scenarios using microscopic traffic simulator, VISSIM. We have reviewed the transmission interval, communication transmission quantity and communication interval, tried to confirm about communication possibility and BPS, etc for each scenario. As results, in 2-lane from 1km highway segment, most appropriate transmission interval is 2 times over spatial basic segment considering to communication specification. In the future, if a variety of wireless technologies on the road is introduced, this paper considering not only traffic condition but also wireless network specification will be utilized the high value.

High Quality Green Tea Extract Production from Enzyme Treated Fresh Green Tea Leaves (효소를 이용한 녹차 생엽에서 고품질 녹차 추출물 생산)

  • Fresh green tea leaf extracts were prepared by different enzyme treatment conditions, such as concentration, treating time and treating temperature using complex enzyme, Rapidase TF, and then extracted for 30 min at $80^{\circ}C$ to investigate their physicochemical properties. The results showed that free sugar content in every sample tended to increase, especially glucose content was increased up to 7.25 times compared to the control. Total amino acid was barely affected by the enzyme treatment and caffeine content was increased with reaction temperature. Total polyphenol and total catechin content was increased according to the amount of enzyme added and reaction temperature. Regardless of enzyme treatment conditions, composition of catechins were epigallocatechin, epicatechin, epicatechin gallate and epigallocatechin gallate by descending order of the content. Gallic acid content increased up to 0.04% and $45^{\circ}C$ with no further significant changes thereafter. From the results above, we could conclude that a simple and new method to extract green tea materials directly from fresh green tea leaves with improved extract ratio may be introduced by adding $0.08{\sim}0.1%$ of Rapidase TF to heat treated fresh green tea leaves and keeping temperature at $37{\sim}45^{\circ}C$ for $180{\sim}240\;min$ in order to skip existing complicated procedures.
