Elastic Interactive Shear Buckling Behavior of Trapezoidally Corrugated Steel Webs (제형파형강판 복부판의 탄성 연성전단좌굴 거동)

  • Corrugated webs have been used for composite prestressed concrete box girder bridges. Innovative steel plate girders using corrugated webs have been proposed. It has been found that analytical and experimental researches conducted to determine the strength of trapezoidally corrugated webs can fail with respect to three different buckling modes: local, global, and interactive shear buckling. Shear buckling capacity equations based on classical and orthotropic plate buckling theories have been proposed,but these equations show some differences. In this paper, geometric parameters that influence interactive shear buckling behavior with interaction effects are identified via extensive bifurcation buckling analysis using the finite element meth.

The Measurement of the Depth of Crack using Images of SLAM (SLAM 영상을 이용한 크랙 깊이 측정)

  • In this paper, we studied the configuration and depth measurement method of the crack in the interior of solid with scanning laser acoustic microscope. Precision measurement method of crack depth is required in SLAM because that system reconstructs the shadow image to the transmission coefficient. We proposed this method that used geometrical structure to the shadow area of SLAM images obtained from oblique incidence and the mode conversion of ultrasound in specimen and then experimented it. For this experiment, we fabricated various specimens which had the vertical line-crack with different depth and made the wedge as 20$^{\circ}$ for oblique incidence. Experimental results showed that the shadow area of SLAM images were proportional to the depth of crack. Measured depth error to the crack was less than 6% compared with practical crack depth.

  • 최근 회전계의 고속화, 소형화 및 정숙운전에 대한 요구가 엄격해짐에 따라 볼베어링을 저어널베어링으로 대체하는 흐름이 증가하고 있으나, 저어널베어링의 기본 구조상 운전시 여러 종류의 진동모드가 발생되며 이에 따라 엄밀한 설계가 요구된다. 이러한 요구에 따라 본 연구에서는 불안정성을 억제할 수 있는 것으로 알려진 빗살무늬 저어널베어링을 대상으로 하여 보다 정확한 설계를 위한 수치해석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 빗살무늬저어널베어링의 해석법으로는 간극의 비선형성을 단순화 시키기 위하여 무한홈을 가정한 협곡이론을 시초로 하여 최근에는 컴류터 계산속도의 발달로 실제 형상에 대해 해석한 직접계산법 등이 알려져 있다. 직접계산법은 협곡이론에 의한 계산법에 비해 많은 시간이 걸리는 단점이 있으나, 베어링이 소형화되어 실제 많은 홈을 가공하기 힘들거나 홈이 원호형으로서 직각홈으로 가정하기가 곤란한 요소에서는 협곡이론을 적용하는데 무리가 있을 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 직접계산법을 채택하여 소형 베어링 모델에 대한 부하특성을 수치해석하고, 이를 협곡이론과의 비교를 통하여 그 차이점을 검토하였다. 이를 위해 압축성을 고려한 레이놀즈 방정식에 대한 베어링 주위의 압력분포를 계산하는 프로그램을 제작하였으며, 주어진 설계조건하에서 빗살무늬 형상을 결정하는 피라미터들의 최적값을 산출하고, 아울러 플레인저어널베어링과의 비교를 통하여 설계조건에 따른 빗살무늬저어널베어링의 기존 불베어리의 대체 가능성을 평가하였다.

  • 최근 오일샌드, 극지유전, 심해저자원 등 극한지 자원개발이 활발해짐에 따라 수요가 증대되고 있는 극한지용 내마식 소재는 내마식성과 함께 저온 인성이 요구된다. 철계 합금에서 관찰되는 변형유기 마르텐사이트 상변태는 입자의 충돌에 의한 충격을 흡수하고 소재의 표면을 가공경화시켜 내마식성 향상 및 저온 인성에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있지만 합금조성의 정교한 제어가 필요하기 때문에 오버레이 용접에 적용하기 위해서는 모재와의 희석률을 제어하는 방안이 필요하다. 용접플럭스 설계기술은 용접시 금속이행모드, 용융지 유동거동 등과 같은 용접현상 제어를 통해 오버레이 용접재료의 용접성과 용접부 희석률을 최적화할 수 있는 기술이다. 본 연구에서는 내마식 고인성 오버레이 용접재료의 개발을 위해 Fe-12Cr-1.2C 합금조성을 갖는 메탈코어드 와이어에 대하여 아크안정제로 사용되는 Ca 함유 용접플럭스 첨가가 용착부 형상 및 희석률 변화에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다.

  • 자동차를 포함한 수송기기, 전기 및 전자산업에 있어 경량화, 소형화, 고성능화와 함께 에너지 및 원가절감을 위한 노력이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 알루미늄은 신소재 및 고효율 제조공정 개발을 위한 합금설계기술, 용해/주조 기술, 가공기술, 열처리 기술, 시험평가 기술, 시뮬레이션 기술에 대한 전방위적인 연구가 진행되고 있다. 최근 프리미엄 자동차 시장에 고강도 알루미늄을 이용한 휠 시장이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 2010년 전세계 자동차 휠 시장 규모는 56조원으로 알루미늄 휠 시장 규모는 약 19조원으로 점차 증가하고 있으며, CO2 배출 및 연비 증가에 대한 시대적 요구에 의해 수송기기의 경량화 및 주행 성능 향상으로 알루미늄 휠 시장 규모는 해마다 증가하고 있다. 7xxx 계열의 알루미늄 합금을 이용해 PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) 혹은 MAO (Micro Arc Oxidation)를 이용해 표면처리를 수행하였다. 표면처리는 Silicate, Vanadate 및 Phosphate 등의 전해액을 선택적으로 사용하였으며, AC 200 ~ 500 V의 전압 조건 범위에서 CV 모드로 전류를 인가하였다. 형성된 표면 산화층은 산화막 두께 분석, 내마모 특성 평가, 염수분무 평가, 전기화학 평가(Potentiodynamic Polarization) 등을 통해 표면 산화층 분석을 진행하였다.

A Study on the Propeller Blade Singing Place of an 86,000 Ton Deadweight Crude Oil Tanker (86,000톤 원유운반선 프로펠러 날개의 singing(명음) 발생위치 조사)

  • A study was conducted to investigate the propeller singing place of an 86, 000 ton Deadweight Crude Oil Tanker. In preliminary study, proper use of finite element analysis was verified by comparing with the result of hammering test in the air. Then the finite element analysis was carried out for the blade in the water and compared with the noise measurement during sea trial, which enabled to confirm the local resonances of blade structure. Result of the study showed that the singing occurred most probably at trailing edges on the blade tip over 95% of propeller diameter. Owing to edge cutting of a successfoul remdial action, the singing excitation forces seemed to be reduced whereas the vibration characteristics of the blade was not changed.

A High Yield Rate MEMS Gyroscope with a Packaged SiOG Process (SiOG 공정을 이용한 고 신뢰성 MEMS 자이로스코프)

  • MEMS devices such as a vibratory gyroscope often suffer from a lower yield rate due to fabrication errors and the external stress. In the decoupled vibratory gyroscope, the main factor that determines the yield rate is the frequency difference between the sensing and driving modes. The gyroscope, fabricated with SOI (Silicon-On-Insulator) wafer and packaged using the anodic bonding, has a large wafer bowing caused by thermal expansion mismatch as well as non-uniform surfaces of the structures caused by the notching effect. These effects result in large distribution in the frequency difference, and thereby a lower yield rate. To improve the yield rate we propose a packaged SiOG (Silicon On Glass) technology. It uses a silicon wafer and two glass wafers to minimize the wafer bowing and a metallic membrane to avoid the notching. In the packaged SiOG gyroscope, the notching effect is eliminated and the warpage of the wafer is greatly reduced. Consequently the frequency difference is more uniformly distributed and its variation is greatly improved. Therefore we can achieve a more robust vibratory MEMS gyroscope with a higher yield rate.

  • Corrugated steel plates are made by fabricating thin steel plates to have trapezoidal or sinusoidal corrugation, and the corrugated plates are able to maintain high out-of-plane rigidity even when they are used instead of thick flat plates. Also, corrugated steel plates have almost no axial rigidity due to the accordion effect. Thus, if they are applied to the webs of plate girders, designing can be easily conducted so that the webs bear only shear stresses. However, unlike flat plates, the shear buckling of corrugated steel plates has very complex characteristics where buckling occurs due to the interaction of local and global buckling, besides local buckling and global buckling. For the investigation of the cause and characteristics of this interactive buckling, studies on sinusoidal corrugated steel plates are fewer than studies on trapezoidal corrugated steel plates. Therefore, in this study, the shear buckling characteristics of sinusoidal corrugated steel plates and the occurrence pattern of interactive buckling were investigated. For the calculation of shear buckling strength, a finite element program was used, and the analysis results were compared with the exact solution. In addition, the characteristics of buckling stress change and the change of buckling mode shape depending on corrugation thickness and shape parameter were analyzed, and by comparing these results with the results of a theoretical equation, the timing of buckling mode change was analyzed.

Axial Compression of Stub Columns for Concrete-filled Square Steel Tubes (일축 압축력을 받는 콘크리트충전 각형강관 단주의 구조적 거동)

  • Concrete-filled steel tubular columns can improve the strength and deformation capacity of structures, thereby enabling the development of efficient structures. The Korean design standard (KDS41) regarding concrete-filled steel tubular structures, established by the architectural institute of Korea in 2005, was revised in 2009 and 2016. The objective was to understand the compressive strengths and deformation capacity of stub columns for concrete-filled square steel tubes under uniaxial compression and validate the KDS41's standard code for necessary corrections. Experiments were conducted on 26 specimens with parameters, such as the width-thickness ratio of cold-formed square tubes. The following values of the stub columns for concrete-filled square steel tubes were obtained: compressive strengths, relationship between the axial load and axial displacement, and failure modes. An analysis of these results enabled an understanding of the concrete-filled effect and the influence of the wide-thickness ratio. The compressive strengths of filled concrete saw a 9% increase compared to a state of uniaxial stress, which must be noted in a future edition of KDS41. After benchmarking the results regarding square steel tubes generated by cold forming to the guidelines provided by the KDS41, the KDS41's value of 2.26 for the limiting width-to-thickness ratio for the compact section was found to be inflated. With a safety concern, this paper proposes a more conservative value of 1.35.

  • The collection of schedule information for intermodal transportation and the establishment of the system to generate available transportation routes have become the basic and necessary factors for the logistics business. However, at present, due to the lack of an effective system, most logistics companies are not providing a sufficient and objective information service to their customers. In an effort to solve this problem, this study tried to develop an intelligent route planning system for intermodal transport, which can generate and select a route suitable to the demands of the user and based on all the collected schedule information of transportation mode.
