Objective : 2 clinical cases were analyzed to report the improvement of patient having anger problem and patient of low leg pain treated by herb medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : We collected 2 cases treated by Jagyakgamcho-tang according to a disease pattern identification diagnostic system and defined the conceptional meaning of each provision by analyzing each case. Results : Patients in 2 cases were cured by Jagyakgamcho-tang selected according to Shanghanlun provisions dualized with Je-Gang(提綱) and Jo-Moon(條文). Conclusions : This study suggests Shanghanlun provisions are the record of significant factors which are closely related with and aggravate disease.

Objectives : This case report presents the effect of Jisilchija-tang on hyperhidrosis. The patient was diagnosed with Eumyangyukchahoonobok-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to Shanghanlun seven meridian patterns diagnostic system, we diagnosed the patient as Eumyangyukchahoonobok-byung and she has been suffering from hyperhidrosis. The patient was treated with Jisilchija-tang. and it was provided for 3 months. Results : After the treatment, the degree of hyperhidrosis reduced from 10 to 2 on VAS. Conclusions : This case study show an effectiveness of using Jisilchija-tang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on hyperhidrosis.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to report the improvements of patients with globus pharyngeus treated with herbal medication from Shanghanlun. Methods : Each patient was diagnosed with Greater-yang disease 29th provision of Shanghanlun, and Gamchogungang-tang was used to treat. The result was evaluated by Glasgow-Edinburgh Throat Scale(GETS). Results : The GETS score decreased from 23 to 4 after 40 days of administration in case 1 and from 31 to 1 after 15 days of administration in case 2. Conclusions : Globus pharyngeus improved in each case. This case report suggests that '急' based on the 29th provision of Shanghanlun, can be a direct psychological cause of globus pharyngeus.

Objective : There was an improvement in a patient with psoriasis following the intake of Hoeyeok-tang for 317 days. By analyzing these cases, we reviewed the use of Hoeyeok-tang in skin diseases and attempted to interpret the related Shanghanlun articles. Methods : The diagnostic process was analyzed according to the disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on the Shanghanlun provisions. The progression of psoriasis, which was addressed, was assessed using the PASI score. Results : The patient was diagnosed with Soeum-byung 324, and the PASI score decreased from 13.6 to 0.4 after the intake of Hoeyeok-tang for 317 days. The patient's compliance and expectation from treatment were good, and no specific adverse effect was identified. Conclusions : This study suggests the clinical use of Hoeyeok-tang in psoriasis based on Shanghanlun.

It is generally called that the Dunhuang Manuscript ${\ulcorner}Shanghanlun{\lrcorner}$ (敦煌本 ${\ulcorner}$傷寒論${\lrcorner}$ ) is all the series of documents relating to the Shanghanlun (傷寒論) included in one of the testaments, which was, in 1900, originally found in the Cangjing hole(藏經洞, Mogao cave(莫高窟), Dunhuang(敦煌), Gansu province(甘肅省). I tried to research on the ${\ulcorner}Fuhengjue$ Zangfuyongyao $Fayao{\lrcorner}$ (${\ulcorner}$輔行訣藏府用樂法要${\lrcorner$) in the Dunhuang Testament (敦煌遺書), which include main texts of the ${\ulcorner}Tangyejingfa{\lrcorner$ (湯液經法) upon which the ${\ulcorner}Shanghanlun{\lrcorner}$ (傷寒論) is based, because it seems to be in the category of the Dunhuang Manuscript ${\ulcorner}Shanghanlun{\lrcorner}$ (敦煌本 ${\ulcorner}$傷寒論${\lrcorner}$) in the broadly extended sense.

Shanghanlun is a medical text published by the Jiaozhengyishuju in 1065 A.D. during the Northern Song dynasty. The first edition featured larger characters but in 1088, a version with smaller characters was published with reduced price. This study compared various versions of Shanghanlun to clarify its system. Especially the alteration in the Chinese version by Jhao Kai Mei was comparatively analysed by the shape of letters and specific marks. Also, information on the various publications in Japan is included in this study, which we believe will be the logical outline for comprehensive understanding on the propagation and progression of Shanghanlun in East Asian region.

objective The purpose of this case report is to review the possibility of utilizing Jeokseokji-uyeoryang-tang as a therapy of seborrheic dermatitis, and to consider clinical using possibility of Shanghanlun.method Patient's Diagnosis and progress of seborrheic dermatitis was evaluated based on the patient's chart and picture. And diagnosis based on Shanghanlun was organized by table.results When analyzing the patient's history and symptoms, it can be found in article No. 159 in Shanghanlun. The area and intentsiy of erythema were reduced when viewed photos findings, so diagnosis and therapies used in this case showed valid results in seborrheic dermatitis.conclusion Jeokseokji-uyeoryang-tang is efficient to patient of this case report as a treatment.

Objective : This study reports the effect of Kyejiinsam-tang on Atopic Dermatitis. Methods : This is a case report on a patient who has been suffering from Atopic Dermatitis. According to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions, Kyejiinsam-tang was provided for 250 days. The severity of Atopic Dermatitis was evaluated by SCORAD index and pictures. Results : When analyzing the patient's history and symptoms, it can be found in article No. 163 in Shanghanlun. The area and intensity of Atopic Dermatitis were reduced when viewed photos findings, and SCORAD index decreased 58.1 to 7.1. So diagnosis and therapies showed valid results in Atopic Dermatitis. Conclusions : Kyejiinsam-tang is efficient to patient of this case report as a treatment.

Objective : Patients complaining of severe chills and dizziness who were diagnosed and treated with the Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system were analyzed to report cases Methods : Based on the Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system, we analyzed two cases treated with the Chijabackpi-tang and counseling. Results : Chijabackpi-tang showed a rapid improvement in patients. During the period of more than 2 months, all of the chief complaints were greatly improved. Conclusions : The Chijabackpi-tang, which is not well known yet, can show rapid effect and can be diagnosed frequently through the Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system.

Objective : The purpose of this paper is to report the improvement of patient with dizziness treated by herb medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : According to 'Disease Pattern Identification Diagnostic System based on Shanghanlun Provisions', the patient diagnosed with Taeyang-byung, number 27 provision, and took Guizhieryuebiyi-tang herb medication 30 days. The changing symptom of dizziness was estimated by VAS(Visual Analogue Scale). Results : The VAS changed 10 to 0. Conclusions : On the number 27 provision of Shanghanlun, '弱' means lower body helplessness. This is the first case report treating the dizziness with Guizhieryuebiyi-tang in Korea.
