Design of the flexible switching controller for small PWR core power control with the multi-model

  • Small PWR can be used for power generation and heating. Considering that small PWR has the characteristics of flexible operating conditions and complex operating environment, the controller designed based on single power level is difficult to achieve the ideal control of small PWR in the whole range of core power range. To solve this problem, a flexible switching controller based on fuzzy controller and LQG/LTR controller is designed. Firstly, a core fuzzy multi-model suitable for full power range is established. Then, T-S fuzzy rules are designed to realize the flexible switching between fuzzy controller and LQG/LTR controller. Finally, based on the core power feedback principle, the core flexible switching control system of small PWR is established and simulated. The results show that the flexible switching controller can effectively control the core power of small PWR and the control effect has the advantages of both fuzzy controller and LQG/LTR controller.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a scalable grey predictive controller with unavoidable random delays. Grey prediction is proposed to solve problems caused by incorrect parameter selection and to eliminate the effects of dynamic coupling between degrees of freedom (DOFs) in nonlinear systems. To address the stability problem, this study develops an improved gray-predictive adaptive fuzzy controller, which can not only solve the implementation problem by determining the stability of the system, but also apply the Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) law to calculate Fuzzy change parameters. Fuzzy logic controllers manipulate robotic systems to improve their control performance. The stability is proved using Lyapunov stability theorem. In this article, the authors compare different controllers and the proposed predictive controller can significantly reduce the vibration of offshore platforms while keeping the required control force within an ideal small range. This paper presents a robust fuzzy control design that uses a model-based approach to overcome the effects of modeling errors. To guarantee the asymptotic stability of large nonlinear systems with multiple lags, the stability criterion is derived from the direct Lyapunov method. Based on this criterion and a distributed control system, a set of model-based fuzzy controllers is synthesized to stabilize large-scale nonlinear systems with multiple delays.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a decision support to select an appropriate rapid prototyping(RP) machine that suits the application of a part. Selection factors include concept model, form/fit/functional model, pattern model for molding, material property, build time and part cost that greatly affect the performance of RP machines. However, the selection of a RP is not an easy decision because they are uncertain and vague. For this reason, the aim of this research is to propose hybrid multiple attribute decision making approaches to effectively evaluate RP machines. In addition, because subjective considerations are relevant to selection decision, a fuzzy logic approach is adopted. The proposed selection procedure consists of several steps. First, we identify RP machines that the users consider. After constructing the evaluation criteria, we calculate the weights of the criteria by applying the fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) method. Finally, we construct the fuzzy Technique of Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS) method to achieve the ranking order of all machines providing the decision information for the selection of RP machines.

이동로봇을 위한 영상의 자동 엣지 검출 방법 (Automatic Edge Detection Method for Mobile Robot Application)

  • This paper proposes a new edge detection method using a $3{\times}3$ ideal binary pattern and lookup table (LUT) for the mobile robot localization without any parameter adjustments. We take the mean of the pixels within the $3{\times}3$ block as a threshold by which the pixels are divided into two groups. The edge magnitude and orientation are calculated by taking the difference of average intensities of the two groups and by searching directional code in the LUT, respectively. And also the input image is not only partitioned into multiple groups according to their intensity similarities by the histogram, but also the threshold of each group is determined by fuzzy reasoning automatically. Finally, the edges are determined through non-maximum suppression using edge confidence measure and edge linking. Applying this edge detection method to the mobile robot localization using projective invariance of the cross ratio. we demonstrate the robustness of the proposed method to the illumination changes in a corridor environment.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study the intuitionistic fuzzy prime (semi-prime) ${\Gamma}$-ideals of ${\Gamma}$-LA-semigroups and some interesting properties are investigated. The main result of the paper is: if $A={\langle}{\mu}_A,{\gamma}_A{\rangle}$ is an IFS in ${\Gamma}$-LA-semigroup S, then $A={\langle}{\mu}_A,{\gamma}_A{\rangle}$ is an intuitionistic fuzzy prime (semi-prime) ${\Gamma}$-ideal of S if and only if for any $s,t{\in}[0,1]$, the sets $U({\mu}_A,s)=\{x{\in}S:{\mu}_A(x){\geq}s\}$ and $L({\gamma}_A,t)=\{x{\in}S:{\gamma}_A(x){\leq}t\}$ are prime (semi-prime) ${\Gamma}$-ideals of S.

  • A recurrent adaptive model-free intelligent control with a friction estimation law is proposed to enhance the positioning performance of the mover in PMLSM system. For the PMLSM with nonlinear friction and uncertainty, an adaptive recurrent fuzzy neural network(ARFNN) and compensated control law in $H_{\infty}$ performance criterion are designed to mimic a perfect control law and compensate the approximated error between ideal controller and ARFNN. Combined with friction observer to estimate nonlinear friction parameters of the LuGre model, on-line adaptive laws of the controller and observer are derived based on the Lyapunov stability criterion. To analyze the effectiveness our control scheme, some simulations for the PMLSM with nonlinear friction and uncertainty were executed.

Relations among (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-fuzzy subalgebra, (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-fuzzy ideal, (strong) lower and (strong) upper level sets, (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-permeable S-value, (${\in}$, ${\in}{\vee}q$)-permeable I-value, S-energetic set, I-energetic set, right stable set and right vanished set are discussed.

  • 전 세계적으로 기본소득 논의가 부상하면서 한국에서도 기본소득 논의가 확장되었다. 논의의 확장은 기본소득에 대한 다양한 고민들과 격렬한 찬반논쟁으로 이어졌다. 기본소득제의 도입을 고민하기 위해서는 한국사회에서 기본소득이 포함된 미래 복지국가의 이상적인 모습을 설계하는 작업이 선행되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 기본소득(과 복지국가)의 이상적 모형을 설계하고 단계적 이행경로를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 기본소득의 주요한 속성을 논하고 이를 바탕으로 퍼지셋 이념형 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 기본소득과 복지국가의 이상적인 모형을 설계하고, 이상적인 복지국가 실현을 위한 단계적 이행경로를 제시하였다. 이는 완전 기본소득을 지향한다고 할 때 우리 사회가 선택할 수 있는 실현가능하고 합리적인 선택지에 대한 실천적 고민이라 하겠다.

Modeling and multiple performance optimization of ultrasonic micro-hole machining of PCD using fuzzy logic and taguchi quality loss function

  • Polycrystalline diamond is an ideal material for parts with micro-holes and has been widely used as dies and cutting tools in automotive, aerospace and woodworking industries due to its superior wear and corrosion resistance. In this research paper, the modeling and simultaneous optimization of multiple performance characteristics such as material removal rate and surface roughness of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) with ultrasonic machining process has been presented. The fuzzy logic and taguchi's quality loss function has been used. In recent years, fuzzy logic has been used in manufacturing engineering for modeling and monitoring. Also the effect of controllable machining parameters like type of abrasive slurry, their size and concentration, nature of tool material and the power rating of the machine has been determined by applying the single objective and multi-objective optimization techniques. The analysis of results has been done using the MATLAB 7.5 software and results obtained are validated by conducting the confirmation experiments. The results show the considerable improvement in S/N ratio as compared to initial cutting conditions. The surface roughness of machined surface has been measured by using the Perthometer (M4Pi, Mahr Germany).
