  • The survey was conducted to analyze the consciousness of residents about the re-modeling living space. The results of this study are as following; 1) The most of respondents have answered very positively in the idea of re-modeling in the near future. Re-modeling will be done in the entire space of housing. 2) It is shown that the desire of re-modeling is various, for example, the higher desire of expansion is arisen by someone who has the smaller space. 3) There are some cases; such as the space of balcony is added to the living room to expand the space of living room or the space of balcony is added to the bed room to expand the space of bed room. In this cases there might be some needs in architect technique.

  • We have developed 2.4" QVGA wide color gamut LCD module using RGB-LED backlight. The color gamut is achieved 100% of NTSC compared to 70% of NTSC when used with White-LED backlight. But RGB LED backlight is difficult to maintain its color balance since RGB LED is gradually degraded by the change of ambient temperature and a long term aging characteristic, etc. This paper describes a feasibility study of our optical feedback system developed for preventing such a color shift.

  • Al2O3 particles were dispersed into carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composites to fabricate hybrid epoxy based composites. Interface behavior and mechanical properties of these hybrid composites were studied at room and liquid nitrogen temperature and liquid nitrogen temperature and the results were compared with the those of carbon fiber reinforced composites to investigate their applicability at room and cryogenic temperature. Young's modulus in-perpendicular to fiber direction and interlaminar shear strength at room temperature and the thermal contraction down to cryhogenic temperature were improved significantly by the addition of AL2O3 filler into the epoxy matrix. The effect of Al2O3 particle addition on mechanical properties were discussed.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the relationship among task interruption, task performance, and burn-out in nurses working at emergency room. Methods: The subjects of this study were 225 working at emergency rooms of 19 hospitals. Data was collected by using the structured questionnaire, including frequency of task interruption. problems in task performance due to interruption, and burn-out. Results: The average scores of task interruption were 2.06 due to communication, 1.49 due to treatment and record, and 1.39 due to other services (range 1-4). Frequency of task interruption was significantly correlated with task performance and burn-out. Conclusion: Emergency room nurses experienced some task interruption. The task interruption can influence upon task performance and burn-out of emergency room nurse.

  • The effects of room temperature and strain aging treatment are discussed on the critical condition for the onset of growth of non-propagating cracks on 0.15% C low carbon steel, with special emphasis on the length of the critical non-propagating crack and on the crack opening displacement(COD) at the crack tip. It is found from the experimental analysis that room temperature and strain aging of a fatigue pre-cracked specimen introduced the closure of a crack tip of the pre-crack and the reduction of crack opening displacement at the wake of crack, together with an improvement in crack growth resistance of the microstructure. This may cause an increase in the endurance limit of the specimen, through the enhancement of effective stress for the onset of growth of the critical non-propagating crack.

  • In this study, we made two types of main control room floor systems (Type I, Type II) and several shaking table tests with and without isolation system were conducted to evaluate floor isolation effectiveness of LRB(Lead Rubber Bearing). Both type showed large difference according to input earthquake signals, but showed little difference according to floor type. It is required to make LRB of which design frequency is below 1Hz when applied to main control room of NPP, but considering much difficulties in making such LRB, it is recommended that consideration should be taken into account when applied to main control room of NPP.

  • Glass fiber is widely used in architectural acoustics or building acoustics for sound absorption since it was introduced into China for about 50 years. But recent years, with people pay more attentions to the air cleansing and their health which may be affected by the tiny fiber of the glasswool, a voluntary tendency opposing glass fiber of room using is gradual appeared in China. This paper discusses both the main opinions towards the question whether there are harmful impacts on people health from glassfiber, and the application circumstance of it's applying in china. This paper focuses on another substitute sound absorbing material, melamine foam, to discuss the strong environmental friendly tendency opposing glass fiber of room using in China now.

  • The university library plays the most important role in university. It provides the space and facilities to keep a variety of books and read them. One facility which is the most frequently used in a library is a reading room. In reality, it is the place where many college students spend most of their time. However, there are sometimes severe competitions to get a seat in a reading room, especially near the time of examinations. In order to resolve this situation and to increase the student‘s satisfaction, these days, many universities have installed a seat management system. In this paper, first, problems on the management of a reading room and student’s responses are reviewed. Then operational issues on the seat management systems are investigated and analyzed through simulations. Finally, discussions are followed to improve the effectiveness of a seat management system.

  • This study were planned with the purposes to make clear the mother's understanding of children's room and to offer the basic data for the guidance and the effective preparation of children's room of the mothers with elementary school children and university students. The subjects were 212 4th-6th grade elementary school children and 188 universty students living in Taege. The data were collected by questionnare methods and analyzed through SPSS PC program. The major findings of this research are as follow: 1. The greater part of mothers recognized that the children's room is necessarily needed to children. 66%(69%) among all subjects perceived that the adequate period of sleeping separation from their parents is before the entrance of elementary school.

  • The turbulent flow and heat transfer in the tunnel laminar flow type clean room is investigated by a numerical simulation. The model clean room is assumed to be a rectngular $5m\times3m$, in which a worktable of 0.75m hight, and 1.5m or 3m long at the floor. Major parameters are the inlet flow velocity, inlet hole size and worktable surface distance. The mean Nusselt number is increased by increasing Reynolds number and can be expressed by the correlation equation.
