$Pb(Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2})O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_3$ 세라믹의 유전 및 초전 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dielectric and Pyroelectric Properties of the $Pb(Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2})O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_3$ Ceramics)

  • x $Pb(Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2})O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_3$, (0.05$\leq$x$\leq$0.30) ternary compound ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were $1200{\sim}1300[^{\circ}C]$, 2 hour, respectively. Increasing the PSS contents, the transition temperatures were decreased. The relative dielectric constant and Curie temperature of the 0.30PSS-0.20PT-0.50PZ specimens were 372, 190[$^{\circ}C$]. The pyroelectric coefficient, figure of merits for pyroelectric current and detectivity of the 0.25PSS-0.25PT-0.50PZ specimens had the good values, $5.41{\times}10^{-8}[C/cm^{2}K]$, $27.72{\times}10^{-12}[Ccm/J]$, $7.65{\times}10^{-10}{Ccm/J]$, respectively.

  • Most recent, Plasma ceramic spray is used on parts of tribosystem, has been investigated on the tribological performance. The application of ceramic coatings by plasma spray has become essential in tribosystems to produce better wear resistance and longer life in various conditions. The purpose of this work was to investigate the wear behavior of $8%Y_2O_3-ZrO_2$ coating due to temperatures of post-spay heat treatment. The plasma-sprayed $8%Y_2O_3--Zirconia$ coating was idiscussed to know the relationship between phase transformations and temperatures of post- spray heat treatment. Wear tests was carried out with ball on disk type on normal load of 50N, 70N and 90N under room temperature. The transformation of phase and the value of residual stress were measured by X-ray diffraction method(XRD). Tribological characteristics and wear mechanisms of coatings was observed by SEM. The tribologieal wear performance was discussed a point of view for residual stress. Consequently. post-spray heat treatment plays an important role in decreasing residual stress. Residual stress in coating system has a significant influence on the wear mechanism of coating.

  • [M(L/L')$(NO_3)_n$].$mH_2O$ 및 [VO(L/L')($SO_4)$].$2H_2O$ (여기서 L/L'는 Schiff 염기로 thiocarbohydrazide (TCH), benzilmonohydrazone (BMH)/diacetylmonohydrazone (DMH) 및 carbon disulphide에서 유도된 "3,4,10,11-tetraphenyl/tetramethyl-1,2,5,6,8,9,12,13-octaazacyclotetradeca-2,4,9,11-tetraene-7,14-dithione")의 분자식을 갖는 일련의 거대고리 착물을 (M = $UO_2$(VI), Th(IV) and ZrO(IV), n = 2, 4, m = 2, 3)을 금속이온 주형법으로 합성하였다. 이들 착물의 특성을 원소분석, 열분석, 몰 전기전도도, 자기모멘트 그리고 전자, 적외선 및 $^1H$-NMR로 조사하였다. 바나딜 착물의 경우 ESR 및 순환 전압전류법을 사용하였다. 그 결과, VO(IV) 이온은 5배위의 상자기성 착물을 이루며, $UO_2$(VI) 및 ZrO(IV)는 6배위 그리고 Th(IV)는 8배위를 가지나 공통적으로 위의 조성을 갖는 반자기성임을 알았다.

  • The effect of $Al_{2}O_{3}$ additives on the microstructure, mechanical and electrical properties of ${\beta}$-SiC+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites by pressureless sintering were investigated. The ${\beta}$-SiC+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ ceramic composites were pressureless sintered by adding 4, 8, 12wt.% $Al_{2}O_{3}$ powder as a liquid forming additives at $1950^{\circ}C$ for 1h. Phase analysis of composites by XRD revealed mostly of $\alpha$-SiC(6H), $ZrB_2$ and weakly $\alpha$-SiC(4H), $\beta$-SiC(15R) phase. The relative density of composites was lowered by gaseous products of the result of reaction between $\beta$-SiC and $Al_{2}O_{3}$ therefore, porosity was increased with increased $Al_{2}O_{3}$ contents. The fracture toughness of composites was decreased with increased $Al_{2}O_{3}$ contents, and showed the maximum value of $1.4197MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$ for composite added with 4wt.% $Al_{2}O_{3}$ additives. The electrical resistivity of ${\beta}$-SiC+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composite was increased with increased $Al_{2}O_{3}$ contents, and showed positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR) in the temperature from $25^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$.

솔-젤 법을 이용한 Pb(Zr, Ti)$O_3$ 박막의 성장 및 전기적 특성에 관한 연구 (Growth and electrical properties of Pb(Zr, Ti)$O_3$ thin films by sol-gel method)

  • $Pb(Zr_{0.52}, Ti_{0.48})O_3$ (PZT) thick films as an actuating material with conducting oxides, $(La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}) CoO_3$ (LSCO), have been fabricated by sol-gel method for Optical Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) devices, in which PZT/LSCO/SiO2 structures were used. In order to improve the adhesion to LSCO solution in order to enhance the wetting behavior of a water-based LSCO precursor solution and further to improve the adhesion between LSCO and $SiO_2$ layers. PZT films were made using 1-3 propanediol based precursor solution which has a high viscosity and a boiling point appropriate for thick film fabrication. In the precursor solution, Ti-propoxied and Zr-propoxied are partially substituted with acetylacetone to achieve the solution stability while maintaining reactivity. Crack free PZT films (0.8~1$\mu\textrm{m}$) have been successfully fabricated at crystallization temperatures above $700^{\circ}C$. Dielectric constants and dielectric losses of the PZT films were 900~1200and 2~5%, respectively. Piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$ of the PZT films constrained by a substrate were 200pm/V at 100kV/cm.

Characterization of the Oxide Layer Formed on the Cu-Zr Based Metallic Glass during Continuous Heating

  • In the present study, the oxidation behavior of $Cu_{50}Zr_{50}$ and $Cu_{46}Zr_{46}Al_8$ metallic glasses has been investigated using transmission electron microscopy with a particular attention on the oxidation behavior in the supercooled liquid state. Identification of the oxidation product after continuous heating treatment shows that in $Cu_{50}Zr_{50}$ metallic glass, $ZrO_2$ with the monoclinic structure forms on the supercooled liquid as well as on the crystallized matrix. On the contrary, in $Cu_{46}Zr_{46}Al_8$ metallic glass, $ZrO_2$ with the tetragonal structure forms on the supercooled liquid, but that with the monoclinic structure forms on the crystallized matrix. The result indicates that the $Cu_{50}Zr_{50}$ metallic glass exhibits far better oxidation resistance in the supercooled liquid state than the $Cu_{46}Zr_{46}Al_8$ metallic glass.

  • In this study, x PSN - y PT - z PZ ceramics doped with w $MnO_2$ were fabricated by the mixed oxide method at 1250 [$^{\circ}C$] for 2[hr] and then the dielectric and pyroelectric properties were investigated. In the 0.05 PSN - 0.4 PT - 0.55 PZ specimen with 0.5[wt%] $MnO_2$ the Pyroelectrics coefficient was $6.6{\times}10^{-8}[C/cm^2.^{\circ}C]$, respectibly.

  • Piezoelectric properties of $Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbZrO_3-PbTiO_3$ ceramics were investigated with $Al_2O_3$ content $(0.0-1.0 wt\%)$. The constituent phases, microstructure, electromechanical coupling factor, dielectric constant, piezoelectric charge and voltage constants were analyzed. Diffraction peaks for (002) and (200) planes were identified by X-ray diffractometer for all the specimens doped with $Al_2O_3$, indicating the MPB (morphotropic phase boundary) composition of tetragonal structures. The highest sintered density of $7.8 g/cm^3$ was obtained for $0.2wt\%\;Al_2O_3-doped$ specimen. Grain size increased by doping $Al_2O_3$ up to $0.3 wt\%$, and it decreased by more doping. Electromechanical coupling factor, dielectric constant, piezoelectric charge and voltage constants increased by doping $Al_2O_3$ up to $0.2wt\%$, and it decreased by more doping. This might result from the formation of oxygen vacancies due to defects in $O^{2-}$ ion sites and the substitution of $Al^{3+}$ ions.

  • In Cubic ZrO2 crystal growth by Skull method, it was examined on effect of homonization on melt as keeping ZrO2(90mol%)-Y2O3(10mol%) melt with 1hr, 2hr, 4hrs, 8hrs, 16hrs, respectively. The optimum homonizing condition in this system was obtained by the examination between quality of grown crystals and soaking time of melt. It was obtained that the lower quality crystal could be produced in the longer holding melt than the optimum soaking time of melt in spite of the supposedly well homonized state, because the melt stability is sensibly dependent on the convective state of melt in skull method (cold crucible process).

  • 본 연구는 수산염법에 의해 화학적으로 균일하며 고순도인 미립의 $(Ba_{1-X}Sr_X)ZrO_3$ 분말을 합성하고 합성된 분말의 미세구조와 유전특성을 조사하여 공진주파수의 온도계수$({gamma}_f)$가 안정한 $(Ba_{1-x}Sr_x)Zr0_3$의 최적 합성조건을 규명하고자 하였다. 6가지 조성의 $(Ba{_1-X}Sr_x)ZrO_3$ (X=0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1) 화합물을 수산염법으로 얻은 후 이를 $1000^{\circ}C$에서 하소하여 결정질 $(Ba_{1-X}Sr_X)ZrO_3$ 분말을 합성하였다. 합성한$(Ba_{1-x}Sr_x)Zr0_3$ 분말은 구형으로 $0.2 {mu}m$이하의 평균 입경을 가졌으며, ${\tau}_c$는 Ba에 대해 Sr이 0.5 정도 치환된 조성에서 0이 되는 조성을 유추할 수 있었다.
