Al첨가에 의한 무수축 Mullite-$ZrO_2$ 요업체의 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fabrication of Shrinkage-Free Mullite--$ZrO_2$ Ceramics with Al-Additives)

  • Al 금속분말을 zircon sand (ZrSiO$_4$)와 A1$_2$O$_3$혼합체에 첨가하여 반응소결시킴으로써 무수축 Mullite-ZrO$_2$, 요업체를 얻고자 하였다. 반응식, 3(Al+Al$_2$O$_3$)+2ZrSiO$_4$$\longrightarrow$3A1$_2$O$_3$ .2SiO$_2$+2ZrO$_2$에 의하여 ZrO$_2$-강화 Mullite 요업체를 제조하였다. Al 분말은 A1$_2$O$_3$에 대해 0-30 무게 퍼센트까지 대체하였다. 평량한 분말을 볼밀하여 혼합 분쇄한 후, 정수압 성형하여 시편을 제조하고, 온도범위 1450-1$600^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 반응소결시켰다. Al의 충분한 산화를 위해, 한편으로는 125$0^{\circ}C$에서 5시간동안 열처리를 거친후 소성온도로 올리기도 했다. Al을 첨가함으로서 반응은 촉진되었으며, 소성수축도 산화한 Al의 부피팽창에 의해 상쇄되어, 무수축요업체 제조의 가능성을 보였다. 박편모양을 한 비교적 큰 Al분말이 잘 분쇄되지 않음으로 해서, Al이 자리했던 곳에 큰 기공을 남겼다.

액장 소결에 의한 $\beta-SiC-ZrB_2$ 복합체의 제조와 특성 (Properties and Manufacture of the $\beta-SiC-ZrB_2$ Composited Densified by Liquid-Phase Sintering.)

  • The mechanical and electrical properties of the hot-pressed and annealed $\beta-Sic$+39vol.%$ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites were investigated as a function of the liquid forming additives of $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3(6:4wt%)$. In this microstructures, no reactions and elongated $\alpha$-SiC grains with equiaxed $ZrB_2$, gains were observed between $\beta-SiC$ and $ZrB_2$, and the relative density was over 97.6% of the theoretical density. Phase analysis of the composites by XRD revealedmostly of $\alpha$-SiC(6H, 4H), $ZrB_2$, and weakly $\beta-SiC$(15R) phase. The fracture toughness decreased with increasing $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ contents and showed the highest of $6.37MPa.m^{\fraction ane-half}$ for composite added with 4wt% $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at room temperature. The electrical resistivity increased with increasing $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$contents and showed the lowest of $1.51\times10^{-4}\Omega.cm$ for composite added with $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at $25^{\circ}C$. This reason is the increasing tendency of pore formation according to amount of liquid forming additives $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$. The electrical resistivity of the composites was all positive temperature coefficient resistance(PTCR) against temperature up to $700^{\circ}C$.

졸-겔법으로 제조한 $ZrO_2.SiO_2$다공질유리의 세공제어 (Control of Pore Characteristics of Porous Glass in the $ZrO_2.SiO_2$ System Prepared by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • Porous glass in the ZrO2.SiO2 system containning up to 30mol% zirconia were prepared by the sol-gel method from metal alkoxides and their pore characteristics with reaction parameters were investigated. The gels were made by hydrolyzing and condensation of the mixed metla alkoxides and were converted into the porous glass by heating up to $700^{\circ}C$. As a results, the mean pore radius became larger with increasing contents of HCl, H2O and hydrolysis temperature, and an alcohol with a large molecular weight for making the porous glass. In the case of 20ZrO2.80SiO2 porous glass with heated at $700^{\circ}C$, HCl and H2O content was 0.3mol and 4mol, the specific surface area was 284$m^2$/g, average mean pore radius was about 19.4$\AA$, porosity was 22.55% and pore characteristics depended on heating temperature.

Nb/MoSi2 접합재료의 계면 수정 및 특성 (Interfacial Moderation and Characterization of Nb/MoSi2 Bonding Materials)

  • This study dealt with the suppression of interfacial reaction between Nb and MoSi$_2$ for the fabrication of high toughness Nb/MoSi$_2$ laminate composites, based on the results of a thermodynamical estimation. Especially, the effect of ZrO$_2$ particle on the interfacial reaction of Nb/MoSi$_2$ bonding materials has been examined. Nb/MoSi$_2$ bonding materials have been successfully fabricated by alternatively stacking matrix mixtures and Nb sheets and hot pressing in the graphite mould. The addition of ZrO$_2$ particle to MoSi$_2$ matrix is obviously effective for promoting both the interfacial reaction suppression and the sintered density of Nb/MoSi$_2$ bonding materials, since it is caused by the formation of ZrSiO$_4$ in the MoSi$_2$-ZrO$_2$ matrix mixture. The interfacial shear strength of Nb/MoSi$_2$ bonding materials also decreases with the reduction of interfacial reaction layer associated with the content of ZrO$_2$ particle and the fabrication temperature.

조핵제 원료에 따른 Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2계 결정화 유리 특성 (The properties of glass ceramics of Li2O-Al2O3-SiO2 system according to nucleation agent)

  • 조핵제 역할을 하는 지르코늄의 원료로써 $ZrO_2$(지르코늄 옥사이드), $ZrSiO_4$(지르코늄 실리케이트), $ZrOCl_2$(지르코늄 옥시클로라이드), $Zr(SO_4)_2$(지르코늄 서페이트) 4종류의 원료를 사용하여 $Li_2O-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$계 결정화 유리를 제조하였다. 동일한 조성의 모든 유리에서 Avrami 상수는 3 이상으로 체적 결정화가 진행됨을 확인하였다. 또한 $ZrOCl_2$, $Zr(SO_4)_2$를 사용하여 제조한 유리는 용융 과정에서 미용융물이 발생하지 않으며 지르코늄 성분이 균일하게 분포되었음을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 성분 분석, 굽힘 강도를 연계하여 평가하였다.

  • Glass in the ZrO2-SiO2 system containing up to 30mol% ZrO2 were prepared by heating the gel made from the mixed solutions of Zr(OC3H7)4 and partial hydrolysed Si(OC2H5)4. As a result, the monolith gel was made from the HCl and water content as 2.7$\times$10-3 and 8 molar ratio to alkoxide and drying temoperature as 4$0^{\circ}C$. Heating rate of dry gel maintained under 0.5$^{\circ}C$/min and heating at a temperature as 90$0^{\circ}C$ was found to be for making the transparent glass.

Study on Sliding Wear Characteristics and Processing of MoSi

  • In this study, a monolithic MoSi2 matrix reinforced with 20 vol% SiC particles, a SiC/MoSi2 composite matrix reinforced with 20 vol% ZrO2 particles, and a ZrO2/MoSi2 composite were fabricated using hot press sintering at $1350^{\circ}C$ for 1 h under a pressure of 30 MPa. The Vickers hardness and sliding wear resistance of the monolithic MoSi2, ZrO2/MoSi2, and SiC/MoSi2 composite were investigated at room temperature. A wear behavior test was carried out using a disk-type wear tester with a silicon nitride ball. The ZrO2/MoSi2 composite showed an average Vickers hardness value and excellent wear resistance compared with the monolithic MoSi2 and SiC/MoSi2 composite at room temperature.

FeZrN/$SiO_2$ 연자성 다층 박막의 자기적 성질 (Magnetic Properties of FeZrN/$SiO_2$ Soft Magnetic Multilayer Thin Films)

  • RF magnetron reactive sputtering법으로 Fe75.5Zr8.3N16.2/SiO2(250$\AA$) 다층 박막을 FeZrN의 두께를 변화시키면서 제조하고, 제조된 박막을 진공 열처리하여 열처리 온도에 따른 포화자화, 보자력, 고주파에서의 투자율 그리고 열적 안정성을 조사하였다. Fe75.5Zr8.3N16.2/SiO2(250$\AA$) 다층박막은 FeZrN의 두께가 800$\AA$이상일 때 좋은 연자성을 나타내었다. Fe75.5Zr8.3N16.2/SiO2(250$\AA$)다층 박막을 45$0^{\circ}C$로 열처리 했을 때 포화자속밀도(1.08 T), 보자력 0.41 Oe, 1 MHz에서의 실효 투자율은 3000이상의 연자성을 나타내었다. 그 이유는 X-선 회절 분석 결과 열처리에 의해서 ZrN 미결정이 석출하여 $\alpha$-Fe 결정 성장이 억제되어 우수한 연자기적 성질이 나타난다고 판단된다. 이때 $\alpha$-Fe 입자 크기는 40-50$\AA$, ZrN의 입자 크기는 10-15$\AA$이다. 그리고 실효 투자율의 주파수 의존성에서 단층막에서는 5 MHz 이상에서 실효 투자율이 급격히 감소하는 경향을 보였으나, 다층막에서는 40MHz까지 실효 투자율이 1600이 되어 고주파에서의 연자성이 개선되었다.

투명 결정화 유리에 관한 연구 - $Al_2O_3-SiO_2$계에 관하여 (A Study on the Transparent Glass-Ceramics On Al2O3-SiO2 System)

  • CaO and ZnO were added to Al2O3-SiO2 binary system respectively as flux, then ZrO2 and TiO2 were applied as nucleating agent to these CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 and ZnO-Al2O3-SiO2 ternary system glass. The transparency could not be kept in CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 system glass, whereas the transparent glass-ceramics were prepared in ZnO-Al2O3-SiO2 system glass containing ZrO2 as the nucleating agent. At this time the optimum heating temperatures for the nucleation and the crystal growth were 78$0^{\circ}C$ and 97$0^{\circ}C$. The sizes of the precipitated crystals in the transparent glass-ceramics were below 0.1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, and their light transmissibilities were more than 80%.
