Organic Dispersion Type Back Light EL Display Device as a New Light Source (신광원 유기분산형 백라이트 EL 디스플레이 소자)

  • In this paper, organic dispersion type back light EL(Electroluminescent) devices were manufactured using Ethyl hydroxy ethyl cellulose as organic binder, ZnS:Cu as phosphor powder and $BaTiO_3$ as dielectrics by screen printing method, which are focused on as a new light source. The properties of the fabricated organic dispersion type back light EL devices were showed $1.98[mA/\m^2]$ of current density, 0.075[W] of power consumption, 7.1[nF] of capacitance at $25[^{\circ}C]$, 100[V], 400[Hz], respectively. Also brightness of the fabricated device was revealed $20~110[cd/\m^2]$ at 50~150[V] and the change of color was shoed bluish green of x=0.1711, y=0.3676 which are color coordinate by CIE.

  • PMW-PZT thick films of about $30{\mu}m$ thickness were fabricated on Pt/$TiO_2$/$SiN_x$Si substrate by the hybrid method of screen printing and PZT sol application. With the increase of the number of the sol application times, the sintered density and electrical properties of PMW-PZT thick films were evidently increased. For the PMW-PZT thick film with PZT sol application of 10-times, the dielectric constant ($\varepsilon_r$) was 745 at the frequency of 100 KHz and thepiezoelectric coefficient ($d_33$) was 155 pC/N at the applied pressure of 1 atm.

  • $TiO_2$ pastes was synthesized to obtained of high efficiency dye-sensitized solar cells using size dependent co-polymer. SBM co-polymer binder is consist of styrene, n-butyl acrylate, and methacrylic acid (SBM) monodisperse co-polymer binder materials and this $TiO_2$ pastes were applied of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The photoanodes were characterized by ATR-Fourier Transform spectrometer, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and morphology was investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The photoelectrochemical properties of the thin films and the performance of DSSCs were measured by photovoltaic-current density, AC impedance and monochromatic incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency (IPCE). DSSC based on the 100nm size co-polymer binder was obtained conversion efficiency of 8.1% under irradiation of AM 1.5(100 $mWcm^2$).

  • 0.10Pb(SbS11/2TSnS11/2T)OS13T-0.25PbTiOS13T-0.65PbZrOS13T ceramics modified by LaS12TOS13T(1[mol%]) and MnOS12T(0-0.30[mol%]) were fabricated. The structural and pyroelectric properties with contents of MnOS12T were studied. Crystal structure of a specimen was rhombohedral type and average grain sizes were decreased with increasing the contents of MnOS12T. Relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor were minimum in the specimens doped 0.24[mol%]MnOS12T. (PbS10.99TLaS10.01T)[(SbS11/2TSnS11/2T) TiS10.25TZrS10.65T]OS13T specimen modified 0.24[mol%]MnOS12T showed the good pyroelectric properties and pyroelectric coefficient and voltage responsivity were 6.73x10S0-8T[C/cmS02TK], 125[V/W], respectively. Voltage responsivity was increased with decreasing the chopper frequency.

  • 최근 유한연료의 고갈로 인해 세계 유가가 불안정 됨으로서 대체 에너지에 대한 연구가 많이 진행 되고 있다. 특히 압전 소자를 이용한 에너지 하베스팅은 압전 역효과를 이용한 것으로서 주변에서 무의미하게 버려지는 진동이나 바람, 열 에너지를 실 생활에 사용할 수 있는 전기 에너지로 변환할 수 있는 유망한 기술 중 하나이다. 이러한 에너지 하베스팅 기술은 일본과 같은 선진국에서 이미 지하철 및 일반 다리와 같이 진동이 극히 많은 곳에서 응용되고 있다. 이러한 에너지 하베스팅 기술을 응용 하려면 전압출력 계수($g_{33}$)가 높아야 한다. 이것은 압전 d 상수와 유전상수에 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 현재가지 응용되는 압전 하베스팅 조성은 Pb(Zr,Ti)$O_3$ (PZT)를 기초로한 세라믹이 응용되고 있다. Pb(Zr,Ti)$O_3$ (PZT) 세라믹은 Morpohotropic phase boundary(MPB)에서 전기기계 결합계수 (kp) 와 기계적 품질계수 (Qm) 이 각각 0.5와 500으로 우수한 특성을 나타낸다. 또한 큐리온도 (Tc) 도 $400^{\circ}C$로 온도 안정성 또한 높다. 하지만 $1000^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 소결하는 PbO는 소결 중 급격한 휘발로 환경적 오염 뿐 아니라 특성의 저하를 야기시킨다. 그래서 몇몇 나라에서는 그 사용을 제한하고 점차적으로 사용을 줄여 나가고 있는 동시에 PbO가 첨가되어 있지 않은 Lead-Free 세라믹의 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. Lead-Free 세라믹 중 alkaline niobate를 기초로 한 페로브스카이트 구조의 ($Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3$ (NKN) 은 PbO를 기초로 한 세라믹을 대체할 유망한 후보자 중 하나이다. 하지만 NKN세라믹의 K 성분의 조해성 및 고온에서의 휘발로 인해 일반 적인 소결 방법으로는 고밀도의 세라믹을 얻기 매우 어렵다. 그래서 Hot pressing, Hot forging, RTGG(Reactive Template Grain Growth), SPS(Spark plasma Sintering)와 같은 특별한 소결 법을 이용하거나 $K_8CuNb_4O_{23}$(KCN) 이나 $K_{5.4}Cu_{1.3}Ta_{10}O_{29}$(KCT) 등을 첨가하여 그 소결성을 향상 시키는 방법도 있다. 또한 압전 d상수를 향상 시키기 위해 $Nb_2O_5$나, $La_2CO_3$, $CeO_2$, $Li_2CO_3$ 등을 치환함으로써 압전 d상수를 향상 시켜 전압출력 계수를 높이는 연구 또한 많은 보고가 되어 있다. 특히 $Li_2CO_3$의 첨가는 일반 적인 소결 방법으로도 밀도의 조밀함을 향상 시켜 그에 따른 높은 유전율과 전기기계 결합계수, 압전 d상수를 가져 많은 연구가 되어지고 있다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 일반적인 ($K_{0.5}N_{0.5})_{1-x}Li_x(Nb_{0.96}Sb_{0.04})O_3$ + 0.2mol%$La_2O_3$ + 1.2mol%$K_8CuNb_4O_{23}$ 세라믹에 x(=Li) 치환에 따른 유전 및 압전특성을 조사하였다.

Reduction and Decomposition of Hazardous NOx by Discharge Plasma with $TiO_2$ ($TiO_2$ 촉매를 이용한 플라즈마반응에 의한 NOx의 분해)

  • The objective of this study is to obtain the optimal process condition and the maximum decomposition efficiency by measuring the decomposition efficiency, electricity consumption, and voltage in accordance with the change of the process variables such as the frequency, maintaining time period, concentration, electrode material, thickness of the electrode, the number of windings of the electrode, and added materials etc. of the harmful atmospheric contamination gases such as NO, $NO_2$, and $SO_2$ etc. with the plasma which is generated by the discharging of the specially designed and manufactured $TiO_2$ catalysis reactor and SPCP reactor. The decomposition efficiency of the NO, the standard samples, is obtained with the plasma which is being generated by the discharge of the combination effect of the $TiO_2$ catalysis reactor and SPCP reactor with the variation of those process variables such as the frequency of the high voltage generator($5{\sim}50kHz$), maintaining time of the harmful gases($1{\sim}10.5sec$), initial concentration($100{\sim}1,000ppm$), the material of the electrode(W, Cu, Al), the thickness of the electrode(1, 2, 3mm), the number of the windings of the electrode(7, 9, 11turns), basic gases($N_2$, $O_2$, air), and the simulated gas($CO_2$) and the resulting substances are analyzed by utilizing FT-IR & GC.

Electrical Properties of $SrTiO_3$-based Ceramics ($SrTiO_3$계 세라믹의 전기적인 특성)

  • The (Sr$_1$-\ulcorner.Ca\ulcorner)TiO$_3$(0.05 x 0.2) ceramics were fabricated to form semiconducting ceramics by sintering at about 1350[$^{\circ}C$] in a reducing atmosphere($N_2$gas). After being fired in a reducing atmosphere, metal oxides(CuO) was painted on the both surface of the specimens to diffuse to the grain boundary. The capacitance changes slowly and almost linearly in the temperature region of -40~+85[$^{\circ}C$]. The capacitance characteristics appears a stable value within $\pm$10[%]. According to increase of the frequency as a functional of temperature, all specimens used in this study showed the dielectric relaxation, and the relaxation frequency was above 10\ulcorner[Hz]. The capacitance is almost unchanged below about 20[V] but it decrease slowly over 20[V]. The voltage-current characteristics of specimens observed in the temperature range of 25~125[$^{\circ}C$] as the current increased appears that it is due to space charge condensed to interface between grain and grain boundary.

Properties of Zeolite Nanopowder Coated with Titanium Dioxide by Atomic Layer Deposition

  • Nanosized zeolites were prepared in an autoclave using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), tetrapropylammonium hydroxide (TPAOH), and $H_2O$, at various hydrothermal synthesis temperatures. Using transmission electron microscopy and particle size analysis, the nanopowder particulate sizes were revealed to be 10-300 nm. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed that the synthesized nanopowder was silicalite-1 zeolite. Using atomic layer deposition, the fabricated zeolite nanopowder particles were coated with nanoscale $TiO_2$ films. The $TiO_2$ films were prepared at $300^{\circ}C$ by using $Ti[N(CH_3)_2]_4$ and $H_2O$ as precursor and reactant gas, respectively. In the TEM analysis, the growth rate was ${\sim}0.7{\AA}/cycle$. Zeta potential and sedimentation test results indicated that, owing to the electrostatic repulsion between $TiO_2$-coated layers on the surface of the zeolite nanoparticles, the dispersibility of the coated nanoparticles was higher than that of the uncoated nanoparticles. In addition, the effect of the coated nanoparticles on the photodecomposition was studied for the irradiation time of 240 min; the concentration of methylene blue was found to decrease to 48%.

Characteristics of Double-junction of High-$\textrm{T}_{c}$ Superconducting $\textrm{YBa}_{2}\textrm{Cu}_{3}\textrm{O}_{7-x}$ Step-edge Junctions (고온 초전도 $\textrm{YBa}_{2}\textrm{Cu}_{3}\textrm{O}_{7-x}$ 계단형 모서리 접합의 이중접합 특성)

  • We have fabricated high-$\textrm{T}_c$ superconducting $\textrm{YBa}_{2}\textrm{Cu}_{3}\textrm{O}_{7-x}$(YBCO) grain boundary junctions at a step-edge on (001) $\textrm{SrTiO}_3$(STO) substrates. A diamond-like carbon (DLC) film grown by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition were used as an ion milling mask to make steps on the STO (100) single crystal and was removed by an oxygen reactive ion etch process. The c-axis oriented YBCO and TO thin films were deposited epitaxially on the STO substrate with a step-edge by pulsed laser deposition. The grain boundary junctions were formed at the top and the bottom of the step. The junctions worked at temperatures above 77 K, and had I\ulcornerR\ulcorner products of 7.5mV at 16K and 0.3 mV at 77K, respectively. The I-V characteristics of these junctions showed the shape of the two noisy resistively shunted junction model.

  • The (Sr$_{1-x}$ Ca$_{x}$) thin films ale deposited OR Pt-Coated electrode(Pt/TiN/SiO$_2$/Si) using RF sputtering method with substitutional contents of Ca. The maximum grain of thin films is obtained at SCT15 thin film. The dielectric constant was increased with increasing the substitutional contents of Ca, while it was decreased if the substitutional contents of Ca exceeded over 15[mol%]. The temperature properties of the dielectric loss have a stable value within 2% independent of the substitutional contents of Ca.Ca.
