저온 플라즈마 조건에서 탈황.탈질 반응 특성 연구 (A Study on The Reaction Characteristics of Desulfurization and Denitrification in Non-Thermal Plasma Conditions)

  • 본 연구는 저온플라즈마를 이용하여 배기가스중의 SOx와 NOx를 동시에 처리하는 공정을 개발하는 것으로서, 최적의 반응제 선정과 효율적인 공정의 구성을 위해 SOx, NOx와 반응제와 반응기구를 밝히고자 하였다. 실험은 1.0 N㎥/h의 모사가스를 이용한 기초실험과 20 N㎥/h의 실제 연소가스를 이용한 실험으로 진행되었으며, 반응제로는 NH3와 파리핀계 및 올레핀계 탄화수소를 사용하였다. NH3를 반응제로 한 SO2 제거반응은 비플라즈마 조건에서는 NH4HSO3, 플라즈마 조건에서는 (NH4)2SO4의 생성반응이었고, 두 조건 모두 높은 제거율을 나타냈다. 반응제를 사용하지 않은 플라즈마 조건에서 SO2는 환원반응이 일어나고 O2 농도의 증가는 역반응을 증가시키는 화학평형에 의해 SO2의 제거율이 감소되었다. 플라즈마 조건에서 NO는 O2농도가 낮은 경우는 NO의 환원반응이 주로 일어나고, O2 농도가 높을 경우는 산화반응이 지배적이었다. 올레핀계 탄화수소는 플라즈마 조건에서 NO 산화 반응에 탁월한 효과를 보였을 뿐만 아니라 SO2 제거에도 효과를 보여 최대 40%의 제거율을 나타냈으며, NH3의 사용을 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 1. 유기질소원(有機窒素源)으로는 soybean meal, 무기질소원(無機窒素源)으로는 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$가 lipase생산(生産)에 가장 효과(效果)이었다. 2. 배양중(培養中) 배지(培地)의 pH저하(低下)를 이르키는 xylose, glucose, fructose, galactose, mannose, maltose, soluble starch, dextrin을 탄소원(炭素源)으로 첨가(添加)하였을 때 lipase 생산(生産)이 심(甚)하게 저해(沮害)되었다. sucrose는 lipase생산(生産)을 저해(沮害)하지 않았으나 첨가효과(添加效果)는 인정(認定)되지 않았다. 3. 인산염(燐酸鹽)으로서는 $K_2HPO_4$, 마그네슘염(鹽)으로서는 $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$가 lipase생산(生産)에 가장 효과적(效果的)이었다. 4. Olive유(油), 대두유(大豆油) 및 야자유(油)의 첨가(添加)는 lipase생산(生産)을 증가(增加)시켰으며 1% olive유(油) 첨가시(添加時) lipase생산(生産)이 50% 증가(增加)되었다. 5. yeast extract $0.05{\sim}0.07%$첨가시(添加時) lipase생산(生産)이 약간 증가(增加)되었다. 6. 본균(本菌)의 lipase생산(生産)에 가장 적합(適合)한 배지(培地)는 soybean meal 2%, $K_2HPO_4$ 0.5%, $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ 0.1%, $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ 0.05%, yeast extract 0.05%, olive유(油) 1%의 조성(組成)의 것으로서 최적배양조건하(最適培養條件下)에서 48시간(時間) 배양시(培養時)에 lipase생산(生産)이 최고(最高)에 도달(到達)하였다.

Episodic Particulate Sulfate and Sulfur Dioxide on the Southwestern Japan Coast in March and April 2010

  • Particulate sulfate in $PM_{2.5}$, sulfur dioxide ($SO_2$) and size-segregated aerosol particle number concentrations were measured at a site ($32^{\circ}19'N$, $129^{\circ}59'E$) on the southwestern Japan coast from 5 March to 10 April, 2010. Results show frequent episodic increases of sulfate and $SO_2$. Compared to the average concentration of sulfate $4.4{\pm}2.7\;{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$ in the whole observation period, episodic sulfate reached $10.5-20.1\;{\mu}g\;m^{-3}$. The variation of sulfate always synchronized with aerosol particles in the size range of $0.1-0.5 {\mu}m$, indicating the episodic sulfate was a consequence of the increase of the sub-micron particles. $SO_2$ did not have remarkable increase in any episodes of sulfate increase. During the passage of low pressure systems which loaded Asian dust in postfrontal air, concentrated sulfate appeared right behind the front but before dust arrival, suggesting the dominance of dust-free particulate sulfate. Weather and backward trajectory analyses revealed that air parcels with high sulfate passed eastern and northeastern China or Korean peninsula before arriving at the site. In contrast, those with high $SO_2$ passed an active volcano, Mt. Sakurajima, about 100 km in the south, suggesting the $SO_2$ was more likely from the volcanic emission. The ratio of sulfate to total sulfur compounds $({SO_4}^{2-})/({SO_4}^{2-}+SO_2)$ was 0.31-0.89 in continentally originated air while was 0.25-0.43 in the air having passed the volcano, showing more efficient conversions of $SO_2$ to sulfate in the air from the continent. The close dependence of the conversion on humidity in the continentally originated air was confirmed.

Characterization of NiSO4 Supported on Fe2O3 and Catalytic Properties for Ethylene Dimerization

  • The NiSO4 supported on Fe2O3 catalysts were prepared by the impregnation method. No diffraction line of nickel sulfate was observed up to 30 wt %, indicating good dispersion of nickel sulfate on the surface of Fe2O3. The addition of nickel sulfate to Fe2O3 shifted the phase transition of Fe2O3 (from amorphous to hematite) to higher temperatures because of the interaction between nickel sulfate and Fe2O3. 20-NiSO4/Fe2O3 containing 20 wt % of NiSO4 and calcined at 500 oC exhibited a maximum catalytic activity for ethylene dimerization. The initial product of ethylene dimerization was found to be 1-butene and the initially produced 1-butene was also isomerized to 2-butene during the reaction. The catalytic activities were correlated with the acidity of catalysts measured by the ammonia chemisorption method.

  • In this work, effects of limestone powder on hydration of $C_3A-CaSO_4\cdot2H_2O$ system was discussed based on the XRD Quantitative analysis, and the possibility of Delayed Ettringite Formation was also discussed. The early hydration of $C_{3}A$ was delayed by addition of $CaCO_{3}$ powder. The delay effect was enhanced by increasing of $CaCO_{3}$ content and finer powder of $CaCO_{3}$ addition. After consumption of $CaSO_4\cdot2H_2O$, the reaction of $CaCO_{3}$ is started. Delayed Ettringite Formation would take place because monosulfoaluminate is not stable in presence of $CaCO_{3}$. In order to prevent the delayed ettringite formation in $C_3A-CaSO_4\cdot2H_2O-CaCo_3$ system, the reduction of monosulfoaluminate formation is important. Therefore, by increasing the amount of $CaCO_{3}$ addition and finer $CaCO_{3}$ powder addition, the delayed ettringite formation can be prevented.

ABC-EAREX2005 미세 에어러솔의 화학적 특성 (Chemical Characteristics of Fine Aerosols During ABC-EAREX2005)

  • The chemical composition of $PM_{2.5}$ such as ${SO_4}^{2-},\;{NO_3}^-,\;Cl^-,\;{NH_4}^+,\;Ca^{2+},\;K^+,\;Na^+,\;Mg^{2+}$, OC, and EC and the concentrations of reactive trace gases including $O_3,\;CO,\;NOx,\;SO_2,\;and\;H_2O_2$ were measured at Gosan in Jeju Island during March $13{\sim}30$, as a part of the Atmospheric Brown Clouds-East Asian Regional Experiment 2005(ABC-EAREX2005). The average mass concentrations of $PM_{2.5}$ was 27.3 ${\mu}g/m^3$, of which OC showed the highest concentration as 4.22 ${\mu}g/m^3$ and nss ${SO_4}^{2-}$ was the second highest as 3.34 ${\mu}g/m^3$. During that period, average concentrations of CO and $O_3$ was about 300 ppbv and 56 ppbv, respectively. For the whole experiment, the correlations of CO with ${SO_4}^{2-}$ and EC were very good, which suggests that CO can be used as tracer for the formation of fine aerosols. Several pollution and dust episodes were identified by the enhancement of CO, OC, EC, nss ${SO_4}^{2-},\;or\;Ca^{2+}$ concentrations or their ratios. In conjunction with factor analysis, air trajectory analysis, and comparison with emission inventories, these results indicate the spring aerosols collected at Gosan was strongly influenced by Asian outflows.

슈도모나스 sp. X-8의 베타락타마제 억제제의 생산 조건과 특성 (Production Conditions and Characterization of ${\beta}$-Lactamase Inhibitor from Pseudomonas sp. X-8)

  • Identification of a soil microorganism strain X-8, producer of ${\beta}$-lactamase inhibitor, based on its morphological, physiological, biochemical and chemotaxonomical characteristics was performed. The strain X-8 was identified as Pseudomonas sp. The beta-lactamase inhibitor produced by this strain was highly achieved in fermentation medium contained glucose 0.5%, urea 0.25%, $K_2HPO_4{\cdot}3H_2O\;0.5%,\;MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O\;0.5%,\;FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O\;0.01%,\;CuSO_4,\;ZnSO_4,\;MnSO_4\;0.02%$. The beta-lactamase inhibitor was not extracted by organic solvent such as n-butanol and ethyl acetate but remained in aqueous layer. The n-butanol extract showed antimicrobial activity against M. smegmatis. The ${\beta}$-lactamase inhibitor was stable at pH 7.0~8.0 and 4$^{\circ}C$ for 24h. The ${\beta}$-lactamase inhibitor was bound on ion exchanger Diaion WA-30 and HP-20 and eluted with 2N-$NH_4OH$ and acetone, respectively.

화학처리방법을 이용한 공기중에 노출된 Mg2Ni의 표면상태에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Surface State of Mg2Ni Exposed to Air by a Chemical Treatment)

  • To investigate the surface state of $Mg_2Ni$ which was exposed to the air, a chemical treatment was undertaken with $H_2SO_4$ solution. During chemical treatment, the change of pH was measured continuously and the chemically treated specimen was hydrided to study the effect of chemical treatment on the hydrogenation. The pH changing behavior with the various $H_2SO_4$ concentration appeared very diffemrently. Especially in the solution including 3CC $H_2SO_4$, the behavior of pH change can be divided 3 steps. It is also shown that the $Mg_2Ni$ chemically treated with $H_2SO_4$ can be hydrided even under room temperature. By the SEM observation the was reasion that after chemical treatment the surface of a particle was covered with Ni layer.

순환전류 전압법을 이용한 이산화황 피독 PEMFC 단위전지의 성능 회복 (Single Cell Performance Recovery of $SO_2$ Poisioned PEMFC using Cyclic Voltametry)

  • Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) performance degrade when sulfur dioxide is present in the fuel hydrogen gas, this is referred as $SO_2$ poisoning. This paper reveals $SO_2$ poisoning on PEMFC cathode part by measuring electrical performance of single cell under 1 ppm and 5 ppm on $SO_2$ gas operating. The security of $SO_2$ poisoning depended on $SO_2$ concentration under the best operating conditions($65^{\circ}C$ of cell temperature and 100% of relative humidity between anode and cathode). $SO_2$ adsorption occured on the surface of catalyst layer on membrane electrode assembly (MEA), In addition, MEA poisoning by $SO_2$ was cumulative but reversible. After poisoning within 5 ppm $SO_2$ for 1hr, the electrical performance of PEMFC was found to recover up to about 93% by cyclic voltametry scan.

대기 및 Ar-0.2%SO2가스에서 Inconel 740 합금의 고온부식 연구 (Study of High Temperature of Inconel 740 Alloy in Air and Ar-0.2%SO2 Gas)

  • The Ni-based superalloy, Inconel 740, was corroded between 800 and 1100℃ for up to 100 hr in air and Ar-0.2%SO2 gas in order to study its corrosion behavior in air and sulfur/oxygen environment. It displayed relatively good corrosion resistance in both environment, because its corrosion was primarily dominated by not sulfidation but oxidation especially in Ar-0.2%SO2 gas. Such was attributed to the thermodynamic stability of oxides of alloying elements when compared to corresponding sulfides. The scales consisted primarily of Cr2O3, together with some NiAl2O4, MnCr2O4, NiCrMnO4, and rutile-TiO2. Sulfur from SO2 gas made scales prone to spallation, and thicker. It also widened the internal corrosion zone when compared to air. The corrosion resistance of IN740 was mainly indebted to the formation of protective Cr2O3-rich oxides, and suppression of the sulfide formation.
