Silica based Planar Lightwave Circuits (PLC) have been applied to various kinds of wave-guided optical passive devices. SiO$_2$ (buffer) and GeO$_2$-SiO$_2$ (core) thick films have been deposited by Flame Hydrolysis Deposition (FHD). The SiO$_2$ films were produced by the flame hydrolysis reaction of halide materials such as SiCl$_4$, POCl$_3$ and BCl$_3$ into an oxy-hydrogen torch. The P concentration increased from 2.0 to 2.8 at% on increasing the POCl$_3$/BCl$_3$ flow ratio. The refractive index increased from 1.4584 to 1.4605 on increasing the POC1$_3$/BC1$_3$ flow ratio from 0.6 to 2.6. The refractive index of GeO$_2$-SiO$_2$ films was controlled by the GeCl$_4$ flow rate. The refractive index increased from 1.4615 to 1.4809 on increasing the GeCl$_4$ flow rate from 30 to 120 sccm.
The reaction of amino acids and the reactive hydroxyl radical generated by $Ti^{3+}-H_2O_2$ system was studied using fast flow techniques coupled with ESR. Upon adding methionine to the 0.2M $H_2O_2$ solution (0.05M methionine after addition) and mixing with 0.01M $TiCl_3$, the low field component of the two incompletely resolved peaks, in the spectrum of $Ti^{3+}-H_2O_2$ system alone, vanished completely whereas the high field component remained almost constant and superimposed on the secondary spectrum of the methionine free radical. Similar results were obtained for other amino acids and proteins. The results strongly demonstrate that the $T^{3+}-H_2O_2$ flow system generates two different radical species, only one of which, giving rise to the low field component, is alone responsible for abstracting hydrogen atoms from substrate molecules. The effects of HCl, $H_2SO_4$ and NaOH on the system were also studied with widely varying results.
In this study, we have investigated the effect of the substrate temperature and oxygen flow rate on the characteristics of IZO thin films for the OLED (organic light emitting diodes) devices. For this purpose, IZO thin films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature and $300^{\circ}C$ with various $O_2$ flow rate. In order to investigate the influences of the oxygen, the flow rate of oxygen in argon mixing gas has been changed from 0.1sccm to 0.5sccm. IZO thin films deposited at room temperature show amorphous structure, whereas IZO thin films deposited at $300^{\circ}C$ show crystalline structure having an (222) preferential orientation regardless of $O_2$ flow rate. The electrical resistivity of IZO film increased with increasing flow rate of $O_2$ under Ar+$O_2$. The change of electrical resistivity with increasing flow rate of $O_2$ was mainly interpreted in terms of the charge carrier concentration rather than the charge carrier mobility. The electrical resistivity of the amorphous-IZO films deposited at R.T. was lower than that of the crystalline-IZO thin films deposited at $300^{\circ}C$. The change of electrical resistivity with increasing substrate temperature was mainly interpreted in terms of the charge carrier mobility rather than the charge carrier concentration. All the films showed the average transmittance over 85% in the visible range. The current density and the luminance of OLED devices with IZO thin films deposited at room temperature in 0.1sccm $O_2$ ambient gas are the highest amongst all other films. The optical band gap energy of IZO thin films plays a major role in OLED device performance, especially the current density and luminance.

An experimental study was performed to examine the heat and mass transfer characteristics of $LiBr-H_2O$ solution flowing over a single horizontal tube with the water vapor absorption. Effects of the flow rate and the temperature of the solution at the top of the tube, the absorber pressure and the drainage pattern were considered. The absorption rate depends highly on the absorber pressure at the low flow rate condition while on the solution inlet temperature at the high flow rate condition. Also, when the flow rate is low, the absorption performance with the sheet flow drainage appeared to be higher than that with the dripping/jet drainage. However, at the high flow rate condition, the case became reversed. The liquid film became wavy with the higher absorption rate. The waves were more probable to form with the lower flow rate and temperature of the solution, and with the higher absorber pressure.

$PbTiO_3$(PT)thin films were prepared by simultaneous of $TiO_2$ and PbO on Si(100) substrate using metaloganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). Titanium tetra-isopropoxide (TTIP) and $Pb(TMHD)_2$were used as source materials. As evaporation temperature and flow rate of TTIP were examined the crystal structure of PT thin films using XRD with setting deposition temperature, flow rate of Pb, and total flow rate of $520^{\circ}C$, 30 sccm, and 750 sccm, respectively. PT thin films could be deposited under 48~$50^{\circ}C$ and 18~22sccm of evaporation temperature and flow rate of TTIP, respectively. It was found that lead, oxygen, and silicon diffused at the iaterface between the film and the substrate.
The flow around a circular cylinder was controlled by attaching O-rings to reduce drag force acting on the cylinder. Four experimental models were tested in this study; one smooth cylinder of diameter D (D=60mm) and three cylinders fitted with O-rings of diameters d=0.0167D, 0.05D and 0.067D with pitches of PPD=1D, 0.5D and 0.25D. The drag force, mean velocity and turbulent intensity profiles in the near wake behind the cylinders were measured for Reynolds numbers based on the cylinder diameter in the range of $Re_D=7.8{\times}10^3{\sim}1.2{\times}10^5$. At $Re_D=1.2{\times}10^5$, the cylinder fitted with O-rings of d=0.0167D in a pitch interval of 0.25D shows the maximum drag reduction of about 5.4%, compared with the smooth cylinder. The drag reduction effect of O-rings of d=0.067D is not so high. For O-ring circulars, as the Reynolds number increases, the peak location of turbulence intensity shifts downstream and the peak magnitude is decreased. Flow field around the cylinders was visualized using a smoke-wire technique to see the flow structure qualitatively. The size of vortices and vortex formation region formed behind the O-ring cylinders are smaller, compared with the smooth cylinder.

The blow-down oxidizer feed system with self-pressurizing $N_2O$ has more advantages than the regulated system. However, it is difficult to predict the exhaust flow rate because there exist two phases in the $N_2O$ tank - liquid phase and gas phase, and the properties of $N_2O$ in storage tank are varied continuously during blow-down. In this paper, a method that can analyse simply the blow-down oxidizer feed system is studied. The properties of saturated $N_2O$ are found from the NIST data base, and mass flow through the orifice is modeled as NHNE. Cold flow test with hybrid rocket combustor is performed for the comparison where the results should found from the good agreement.
Purpose: The digital healthcare business is rapidly growing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the medical service platform business based on smartphone apps is globally expanding. This study targeted medical information online to offline (O2O) platform users in the medical service field. It verified the effect relationship revealed in the continuous use intention of the platform with the mediation of platform quality components, namely perceived benefits, flow experience, and use satisfaction. Research design, data and methodology: Based on previous studies, three medical information O2O platform quality components, namely system quality, information quality, and service quality, were defined. And the questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 359 leading medical information O2O platform users in Korea. Results: As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that system quality and service quality had a positive (+) effect on satisfaction and continuous use intention with the mediation of perceived benefits and flow experience. Meanwhile, information quality had a negative effect (-) on perceived benefits and flow experience and did not affect use satisfaction and continuous use intention. Conclusions: Consequently, it was ascertained that the system quality and service quality affecting user behavior and experience were more significant factors than information quality to medical information O2O platform users from the medical service aspect.

After reviewing previous work done on two piezoelectric thin films(PZT, ZnO), ZnO thin piezofim of 1-3UM is fabricated by sputtering on the different substrates(i. e., P+Si/N-Si, SiO2/P+Si/ N-Si, Al/SiO2/ P+Si/ N+Si). The result shows that ZnO piezofilm on the Al has the best c-axis orientation. One of applications for the ZnO piezofilm as an microvalve to control liquid flow is introduced, and which can be controlled electrically and remotely.
Silicon oxide thin films have been deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition in SiH4 and N2O plasma along the variation of the gas flow ratio. Optical emission spectroscopy was employed to monitor the plasma and ellipsometry was employed to obtain refractive index of the deposited thin film. The atomic ratio of Si, O, and N in the film was obtained using XPS depth profiling. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy was used to analyze structures of the films. RI decreased with the increase in N2O/SiH4 gas flow ratio. We noticed the increase in the Si-O-Si bond angles as the N2O/SiH4 gas flow ratio increased, according to the analysis of the Si-O-Si stretching peak between 950 and 1,150 cm-1 in the wavenumber. We observed a correlation between the optical emission intensity ratio of (ISi+ISiH)/IO. The OES intensity ratio is also related with the measured refractive index and chemical composition ratio of the deposited thin film. Therefore, we report the added value of OES data analysis from the plasma related to the thin film characteristics in the PECVD process.
