K-Mn/Fe2O3 촉매 상 H2O2 분해에 의한 건식산화제 생성 및 모사 배가스 유량에 따른 NO 산화공정 (A study on production of dry oxidant by decomposition of H2O2 on K-Mn/Fe2O3 catalyst and NO oxidation process according to simulated flue gas flow)

  • 본 연구에서는 배가스 내 존재하는 오염물질인 NO의 처리효율을 증대시키기 위하여 NO 산화공정을 연구하였으며, 강력한 산화력의 건식산화제를 제조하는 방법으로 $H_2O_2$ 촉매분해가 도입되었다. $H_2O_2$ 분해공정 상에서 적용 가능한 $K-Mn/Fe_2O_3$ 불균일계 촉매가 제조되었으며, 이들이 가지는 물리화학적 특성이 $H_2O_2$ 분해반응에 미치는 영향이 조사되었다. 제조된 건식산화제는 NO가 포함된 모사 배가스를 처리하기 위한 NO 산화공정에 적용되었으며, 다양한 모사 배가스의 유량(5, 10, 20 L/min)에서 약 100% 가까운 NO 전환율을 확인 하였다.

  • The reduction characteristics of $NO_2$ to NO are experimentally studied over a platinum-based catalyst, especially at lower temperatures below about $200^{\circ}C$. In the present work, two types of steady-state experiments, engine bench and synthetic gas bench tests, are carried out in sequence. Steady-state engine bench tests with the DOC mounted on a light duty 4-cylinder 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine are performed and prove that CO plays a major role in $NO_2$ abatement at temperatures below the light-off temperature of CO oxidation, about $200^{\circ}C$. Synthetic gas bench tests are then performed using synthetic gas mixtures with CO, $C_3H_6$, NO, $NO_2$, $O_2$, $H_2O$ and $N_2$ in the $140{\sim}450^{\circ}C$ T-range and show that both CO and $C_3H_6$ are capable of reducing $NO_2$. It is noted that the reaction rate of $NO_2$ with $C_3H_6$ is much higher than that with CO. At temperatures below about $200^{\circ}C$, the reduction of $NO_2$ to NO is promoted with increasing CO concentration and $NO_2$/$NO_X$ ratio and with decreasing $O_2$ concentration, as well as with the presence of $H_2O$.

디니트로실 몰리브덴 착물의 합성과 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Synthesis and Characterization of Dinitrosylmolybdenum Complexes)

  • 본 실험의 중성 화합물인 $[Mo(NO)_2L_2Cl_2]$$CH_2Cl_2$ 용매하에서 $[{Mo(NO)_2Cl_2}_n]$과 한자리 리간드를 반응시켜 얻었다. $[Mo(NO)_2L_4](ClO_4)_2$은 아세톤 용매하에서 중성$[Mo(NO)_2L_2Cl_2]$와 한자리 리간드의 반응으로 얻어진다. 합성에 이용된 리간드는 4-dimethylaminopyridine(dmap), pyridine(py) 그리고 isoquinoline(isoq)을 사용하였다. 합성한 cis-dinitrosylmolybdenum 착물은 elemental analysis, infrared, UV-Visible spectroscopy 그리고 $^1H\;NMR$ 등을 이용하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 적외선 스펙트럼은 모든 착물이 팔면체 구조로서 두 개의 NO기가 cis 위치로 배위되어 있음을 나타낸다.

부산광역시에서의 $NO_2$농도 특성 및 기상 영향인자 분석 (The Effect of Meteorological Factors on Variation and Temporal and Spatial Characteristics of $NO_2$ Concentration in Pusan Area)

  • The concentration of air pollution in a large city such as Pusan has been increased every years due to the increase on fuel consumption at factories and by vehicles as well as the gravitation of the population. In this study, we have analyzed $NO_2$ concentration data and various data of meteorological factors during 1994-1997 to investigate the characteristics of $NO_2$ concentration and how the high $NO_2$ concentration is generated under the meterological condition. According to the study, $NO_2$ peak concentration at most sites occured about 1h later after the rush hour. In the characteristics of emissions in sites, sinpyeong-dong was highly contributed to point source while the other sites were highly contributed to line source. The high $NO_2$ concentration had high generation probability when temperature contained typical seasonal characteristics and wind speed was low. Using the relationship between meteorological factors and the daily average $NO_2$ concentration, correlation analysis was practiced. the seasonal variation of the daily average $NO_2$ concentration was correlated with air temperature, solar radiation and wind speed, but the correlation coefficient between meteorological factors and the daily average $NO_2$ concentration was not so much high. Thus we have known that the daily average $NO_2$ concentration is partially explained by meteorological factors.

  • The characteristics of $NO-NO_2$ conversion and soot oxidation by corona discharge are investigated experimentally. The discharge current decreases with the increase of oxygen concentration and it increases more sharply for anode corona than for cathode corona as discharge voltage increases after corona onset voltage. $NO-NO_2$ conversion increases with the energy density of corona discharge and the addition of $O_2$ in a base $N_2$ gas. Soot oxidation occurs at approximately $480^{\circ}C$ in a mixture of 21% $O_2$, base $N_2$ gas, and enhances as temperature increases. The initiation temperature of soot oxidation advances greatly to about $280^{\circ}C$ with the addition of 300ppm $NO_2$, which is generated from the conversion of NO to $NO_2$ by corona discharge. CO is generated at higher temperature by about $50{\sim}100^{\circ}C$ than $CO_2$ in the process of soot oxidation.

이산화망간 촉매와 오존을 이용한 NO의 촉매 산화 특성 (Catalytic Oxidation of NO on MnO2 in the Presence of Ozone)

  • In this study, the fundamental experiments were performed for catalytic oxidation of NO (50 ppm) on $MnO_2$ in the presence of ozone. The experiments were carried out at various catalytic temperatures ($30-120^{\circ}C$) and ozone concentrations (50-150 ppm) to investigate the behavior of NO oxidation. The honeycomb type $MnO_2$ catalyst was rectangular with a cell density of 300 cells per square inch. Due to $O_3$ injection, NO reacted with $O_3$ to form $NO_2$, which was adsorbed at the $MnO_2$ surface. The excessive ozone was decomposed to $O^*$ onto the $MnO_2$ catalyst bed, and then that $O^*$ was reacted with $NO_2$ to form $NO_3^-$. It was found that the optimal $O_3$/NO ratio for catalytic oxidation of NO on $MnO_2$ was 2.0, and the NO removal efficiency on $MnO_2$ was 83% at $30^{\circ}C$. As a result, NO was converted mainly to $NO_3^-$.

Development of a Laser Absorption NO/$NO_2$ Measuring System for Gas Turbine Exhaust Jets

  • For the protection of the local air quality and the global atmosphere, the emissions of trace species including nitric oxides (NO and NO$_2$) from gas turbines are regulated by local governments and by the International Civil Aviation Organization. In-situ measurements of such species are needed not only for the development of advanced low-emission combustion concepts but also for providing emissions data required for the sound assessment of the effects of the emissions on environment. We have been developing a laser absorption system that has a capability of simultaneous determination of NO and NO$_2$concentrations in the exhaust jets from aero gas turbines. A diode laser operating near 1.8 micrometer is used for the detection of NO while a separated visible tunable diode laser operating near 676 nanometers is used for NO$_2$. The sensitivities at elevated temperature conditions were determined for simulated gas mixtures heated up to 500K in a heated cell of a straight 0.5 m optical path. Sensitivity limits estimated as were 30 ppmv-m and 3.7 ppmv-m for NO and NO$_2$, respectively, at a typical exhaust gas temperature of 800K. Experiments using the simulated exhaust flows have proven that $CO_2$ and $H_2O$ vapor - both major combustion products - do not show any interference in the NO or NO$_2$ measurements. The measurement system has been applied to the NO/NO$_2$ measurements in NO and NO$_2$ doped real combustion gas jets issuing from a rectangular nozzle having 0.4 m optical path. The lower detection limits of the system were considerably decreased by using a multipass optical cell. A pair of off-axis parabola mirrors successfully suppressed the beam steering in the combustion gas jets by centralizing the fluctuating beam in sensor area of the detectors.

Effect of $TO_3$ and $NO_2$ on Net Photosynthesis, Transpiration and Accumulation of Nitrite in Sunflower Leaves

  • Photosynthesis and transpiration rates were simultaneously measured in attached sunflower leaves(Helianthus annuusL. cv. Russian Mammoth) during exposure to $NO_2$ and $O_3$ to determine the effect of mixed gan on photosynthesis and the stomatal aperture. The application of $O_3$ alone reduced both the net photosynthetic and transpiration rates. An analysis of the $CO_2$ diffusive resistances indicated that the main cause affecting photosynthesis reduction during $O_3$ exposure was not the internal gas phase of the leaf $(rCO_2^{liq})$ but rather the liquid phase or mesophyll diffusive resistance $(rCO_2^{liq})$, suggesting that there is a very concomitant relation between photosynthetic reduction and $rCO_2^{liq}$. The application of NO2 alone caused a marked reduction of the net photosynthesis yet no significant reduction of transpiration, indicating that NO2 affects the $CO_2$ fixation processes with no inluence on the stomatal aperture. A greter reduction in the photosynthesis of sunflower plants was caused by the application of $NO_2$ alone as compared to a combination of $NO_2$ and $O_3$. $NO_2$ alone reduced the photosynthetic rate by 90%, whereas a mixture of NO2 and O3 reduced it by 50%.

NaClO2를 이용한 NO 산화 특성 (Characteristics of NO Oxidation Using NaClO2)

  • 고정층 반응기에 충진한 $NaClO_2$에 의한 NO 산화특성을 온도와 가스조건 그리고 공간속도 등을 변화시켜가며 알아보았다. $NaClO_2$와 NO의 반응은 온도에 크게 의존함을 알 수 있었다. $110^{\circ}C$까지 $NaClO_2$와 NO의 반응성은 천천히 증가하고 그 이후의 온도에서는 빠르게 증가하였으며 $170^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 가장 높은 반응성을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다. 하지만 $190^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서는 $NaClO_2$가 NaCl, $NaClO_3$, 상전이하여 NO와의 반응성이 나타나지 않았다. $NaClO_2$와 NO 반응의 주 생성물은 $NO_2$였으며 가스상 형태의 ClNO, $ClNO_2$ 등이 부산물로 나타났다. 이는 $NaClO_2$에 의한 NO의 산화물인 $NO_2$$NaClO_2$가 반응하여 가스상 부산물인 OClO를 생성하고, 생성된 OClO가 잔류하는 NO를 $NO_2$로 산화시키며 발생되는 Cl에 의한 것임을 확인하였다. 이와 함께 수분 및 산소의 변화는 NO 산화에 주는 영향이 미미하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

산소-니트로실 착물의 연구(제3보): 티오메틸아미드옥심의 몰리브덴과 텅스텐 산소-니트로실 착물의 합성과 특성 (Synthesis and Properties of Molybdenum and Tungsten Oxo-Nitrosyl Complexes of Methylthioamidoxime)

  • 본 연구의 오핵 착물은 몰리브덴(VI)과 텅스텐(VI)의 다핵 착물, 몰리브덴(O)과 텅스텐(O)의 디니트로실 단핵 착물 및 티오메틸아미드옥심의 반응에서 얻었다. 합성한 착물$(n-Bu_4N)_2[Mo_4O_{12}Mo(NO)_{2}{CH_3SCH_2C(NH_2)NHO}_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH)NO}_2]$ (1), $(n-Bu_4N)_2[W_4O_{12}Mo(NO)_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH_2)NHO}_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH)NO}_2]$ (2) $(n-Bu_4N)_2[Mo_4O_{12}Mo(NO)_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH_2)NHO}_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH)NO}_2]$ (3)은 원소 분석, 적외선, 전자 흡수 및 $^1/H\;NMR$ 스펙트라에 의해 특성을 조사하였다. 착물의 분광학적인 연구는 시스-${M(NO)_2}^{2+}$(M=Mo, W) 단위체 및 착물의 적은 비편재화 존재를 알 수 있다. 합성한 착물$(n-Bu_4N)_2\;[W_4O_{12}Mo(NO)_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH_2)NHO}_2{CH_3SCH_2C(NH)NO}_2]$ (2)은 X-선 단결정 회절에서 결정구조를 밝혔고, 얻은 데이타는 Monoclinic, $P2_1/a,\;a\;=\;22.14(2){\angs},\;b\;=\;14093(1){\angs},\;{\beta}\;=\;111.08(6){\deg},\;V\;=\;7155(9){\angs}^3,$ Z = 4이었다. 구조 결정에 이용한 회절강도 6191개($I>3{\sigma}(I)$)에 대한 최종 신뢰도 인자는 0.072 이었다. 물질의 골격구조는 텅스텐의 산화상태 6가로 구성된 두 개의 이핵체 $[W_2O_5{CH_3SCH_2C(NH_2)NHO}\;{CH_3SCH_2C(NH)NO}]$와 몰리브덴의 산화상태 0가인 ${Mo(NO)_2}6{2+}$로 형성되어 있다. ${M(NO)_2}^{2+}$(M = Mo, W) 단위체는 형식상 시스 형태이며 기하학적으로 $C_{2v}$ 대칭을 가진다.
