Using the rotation of two polarizer plate and the area of transmittance In the visual light region measured by spectrophotometer, we obtained the luminance to measure the Contrast Sensitivity, and calculated the values of $L_{min}$ and ${\theta}_{min}$ after fixed the average contrast, $L_{max}$ and ${\theta}_{max}$ values from the values of two contrasts. Then, when it was fixed by $L_{max}=4000(T%nm)$ and ${\theta}_{max}=44.1^{\circ}$, $L_{min}$ and ${\theta}_{min}$ values were respectively given by 1333, 2666, 3920(T%nm) and 56.6, 54.3, $45^{\circ}$ in Cs values of 2.5, 100.
It was to adjust the luminance of light by the rotation angle of the polarizes and analyzer. The luminance value Lmax, Lmin of Contrast Sensitivity could be obtained from the rotation angle ${\theta}_m$ of the average luminance($L_m$), the rotation angle(${\theta}_{max}$, ${\theta}_{min}$) of the maximum and the minimum's amplitude. $$L_{max}=I(0)e^{-2at}{\cdot}cos^2{\theta}_m(1+C_s^{-1})$$$$L_{min}=I(0)e^{-2at}{\cdot}cos^2{\theta}_m(1-C_s^{-1})$$ We obtained the rotation angle(${\theta}_{max}$, ${\theta}_{min}$) of the polarizes and analyzer from the rotation angle ${\theta}_m$ of the average luminance($L_m$) and the Contrast Sensitivity($C_s$). $${\theta}_{max}=cos^{-1}[cos{\theta}_m{\cdot}(1+C_s^{-1})^{1/2}]$$$${\theta}_{min}=cos^{-1}[cos{\theta}_m{\cdot}(1-C_s^{-1})^{1/2}]$$.
Background: Although graded exercise stress tests are widely used for the evaluation of cardiorespiratory performance, normal standards on respiratory gas exchange and ventilatory functions at maximal exercise in Koreans have not been well established. The purpose of this study is to provide reference values on these by sex and age, along with derivation of some of their prediction equations. Method: Symptom-limited maximal exercise test was carried out by Bruce protocol in 1,000 healthy adults consisting of 603 males and 397 females, aged 20~66 years. Among them VC, $FEV_1$ and MVV were also determined in 885 cases. All the subjects were members of a health center, excluding athletes. During the exercise, subjects were allowed to hold on to front hand rail of the treadmill for safety purpose. Results: The $VO_2\;max/m^2$, $VCO_2\;max/m^2$ and $V_E\;max/m^2$ were greater in males than in females and decreased with age. The RR max in men and women was similar but decreased slightly with age. The $V_T$ max was markedly greater in men but showed no significant changes with age in either gender. The mean of $V_T$ max/VC, $V_E$ max/MVV and BR revealed that there were considerable ventilatory reserves at maximal exercise even in older females. The regression equations of the cardinal parameters obtained using exercise time(ET, min), age(A, yr), height(Ht, cm), weight(W, kg), sex(S, 0=male; 1=female), VC(L), $FEV_1$(L) and $V_E$ max(L) as variables are as follows: $VO_2\;max/m^2$(L/min)=1.449+0.073 ET-0.007A+0.010W-0.006Ht-0.209S, $VCO_2\;max/m^2$(L/min)=1.672+0.063ET-0.008A+0.010W-0.005Ht-0.319S, VE max/$m^2$(L/min)=58.161+1.503ET-0.315A-9.871S or VE max/$m^2$(L/min)=47.873+6.548 $FEV_1$-5.715 S, and VT max(L)=1.497+0.223VC-0.493S. Conclusion: Respiratory gas exchange and ventilatory variables at maximal exercise were studied in 1,000 non-athletes by Bruce protocol. During exercise, the subjects were allowed to hold on to hand rail of the treadmill for safety purpose. We feel that our results would provide ideal target values for patients and healthy individuals to be achieved, since our study subjects were members of a health center whose physical fitness levels were presumably higher than ordinary population.

In this paper, we propose a quadruple band antenna for GPS/WLAN/WiMAX application. The proposed antenna has quadruple band characteristics by considering the interconnection of four strip lines and DGS on the ground place. The total substrate size is 20.0 mm (W1) ⨯27.0 mm (L1), thickness (h) 1.0 mm, and the dielectric constant is 4.4, which is made of 20.0 mm (W2)⨯ 27.0 mm (L8 + L6+ L10) antenna size on the FR-4 substrate. From the fabrication and measurement results, bandwidths of 60 MHz (1.525 to 1.585 GHz) bandwidth for GPS band, 825 MHz (3.31 to 4.135 GHz) bandwidth for WiMAX band and 480 MHz (2.395 to 2.975 GHz) and 385 MHz (5.10 to 5.485 GHz) bandwidth for WLAN band were obtained on the basis of -10 dB. Also, gain and radiation pattern characteristics are measured and shown in the frequency of triple band as required.

Korean 'Law of Aviation' and 'Test Method of Measuring Noise and Vibration' designate to use WECPNL metric based on $L_{max}$ measurement for the accessment of aircraft noise in Korea. However, time duration of noise event can not be considered in $L_{max}$ metric in principle, compensation on the duration has been utilized. A study was done recently to evaluate appropriate duration compensation for the accessment of military aircraft noise under current metric of WECPNL and $L_{max}$. This study was carried out to evaluate what metric is the most appropriate to express aircraft noise including time duration of single noise event, computing and comparing noise exposure with 1 second noise measurement data of military aircraft in $L_{max}$, $L_{Aeq,\;T}$ and SEL. This study shows SEL is the most appropriate noise metric for the evaluation of noise exposure with time duration such as aircraft noise without compensation. It is suggested to use SEL noise metric instead of $L_{max}$ noise metric with duration compensation for the aircraft noise accessment either military aircraft or civilian aircraft.
The bacterial strain was isolated from the 4th day's fermented Dolsan Leaf Mustard Kimchi(DLMK) at $20^{\circ}C$/TEX>. It was used as Kimchi starter, and then its physiological activity was investigated for 50 days at $4^{\circ}C$/TEX> and $10^{\circ}C$/TEX> The physiological activity of DLMK was examined for both antioxidative and Angiotensine Converting Enzyme(ACE) inhibitory activity. In the starter-inoculated DLMK(1 X $10^{10}$ CFU/mL) at 4 and $10^{\circ}C$, the optimal ripening period was more shortend than that of control(without starter) up to about 5.6 and 5 times, respectively. The maximal antioxidative activity in the starter-inoculated DLMK(1 X $10^{10}$ 10 CFU/mL) at 4 and $10^{\circ}C$ were 67% and 75%, respectively. The yield of cell concentration per day($lnX_{max}$/$t_{max}$) and the yield of antioxidative activity per day($P_{max}$/t$t_{max}$) had a linear relationship. Also, the yield of antioxidative activity per day was increased with increasing the concentration of inoculated bacterium. By adding 1 X $10^{10}$ CFU/mL at 4 and $10^{\circ}C$, the ACE inhibitory activity of DLMK was maximal. The rates of inhibiting activities were 52% and 76%, respectively. Consequently, physiological activities were significantly affected by the inoculation concentrations of starter, but bacterium itself was not appeared the physiological activity. We assume that the bacterium metabolizes certain materials in DLMK and released compounds such as glucosinolates or its metabolized forms from DLMK show the antioxidative and ACE inhibitory activity.

To NP-complete 3-SAT problem, this paper proposes a O(nm) polynomial time algorithm, where n is the number of literals and m is the total frequency of all literals in equation f. Conventionally well-known DPLLs should perform O(2𝑙) in the worst case by performing backtracking if they fail to find a solution in a brute-force search of a branch-and-bound for the number of literals 𝑙. DPLL forms the core of the SAT Solver by substituting true(T) or false(F) for a literal so that a clause containing the least frequency literal is true(T) and removing a clause containing that literal. Contrary to DPLL, the proposed algorithm selects a literal max𝑙 with the maximum frequency and sets $_{\max}({\mid}l{\mid},{\mid}{\bar{l}}{\mid})=1$. It then deletes 𝑙∈ci clause in addition to ${\bar{l}}$ from ${\bar{l}}{\in}c_i$ clause. Its test results on various k-SAT problems not only show that it performs less than existing DPLL algorithm, but prove its simplicity in satisfiability verification.
Benzyladenine (BA, 99% purity), MaxCel$^{(R)}$ (1.9% BA), Fruitone (3.5% NAA), MaxCel$^{(R)}$ + Fruitone, a nd s imazine were applied postbloom as fruitlet thinning agents to mature 'Hongro' and 'Fuji' apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) trees. BA and MaxCel$^{(R)}$ were applied at $100mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ a.i. while Fruitone at $0.1mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ a.i. and simazine at $400mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ a.i. All PGRs were applied at 8 days after full bloom (DAFB, 6 mm fruit diameter) in both cultivars, while simazine was treated twice at 7 and 14 DAFB. In 'Hongro', the number of total fruit set per flower cluster in terminal buds was 1.67, 1.84, and 1.81 in MaxCel$^{(R)}$ + F ruitone, MaxCel$^{(R)}$, and simazine applications, respectively, when compared with 2.35 of water control. These reductions in fruit set were mainly attributed to the increased ratio of defruited clusters by the thinning agents. In 'Fuji' apple, the number of total fruit set per flower cluster in terminal buds was 1.29, 1.60, and 1.76 in MaxCel$^{(R)}$ + Fruitone, Fruitone, and MaxCel$^{(R)}$, respectively, when compared with 2.56 of water control in 'Fuji' apple. The addition of Fruitone to the MaxCel$^{(R)}$ promoted the thinning efficacy in both cultivars, compared to MaxCel$^{(R)}$ only. The thinning efficacies were similarly observed with lateral flowers in both cultivars. A significant increase of fruit weight by the postbloom thinning treatments was observed only in the BA application in 'Hongro', while the effect was observed in BA and MaxCel$^{(R)}$ in 'Fuji'. While the soluble solids content increased in the BA, MaxCel$^{(R)}$ and MaxCel$^{(R)}$+Fruitone treatments in both cultivars, other fruit quality attributes were not affected by the application of post-bloom thinning agents.

In this paper, a monopole antenna applicable to WLAN/WiMAX system is designed and fabricated. The proposed antenna is designed to have three lines and one slit based on microstrip feeding to have triple band characteristics. We optimized the lengths and slits of the three lines to obtain the required characteristics for this paper. The proposed antenna has $32.0mm(W2+W3){\times}47.1mm$ (L3+L4+L5+L8) on a dielectric substrate of $42.5mm(W1){\times}52mm(L1){\times}1.0mm$ size. From the fabrication and measurement results, bandwidths of 158 MHz (813 to 971MHz), 630 MHz (2.10 to 2.73GHz) and 1190 MHz (4.83 to 6.02GHz) were obtained based on the impedance bandwidth. The fabricated antenna also obtained the measured gain and radiation pattern in the required triple band.
