샥스핀 가공 중 사용된 메타규산나트륨 분석 (Analytical Method to Quantify Sodium Metasilicate in Shark Fins)

  • 메타규산나트륨은 우리나라 식품첨가물공전에 등록되어 있는 품목으로 식용유지류의 여과보조제의 목적 이외에는 사용할 수 없으며, 최종식품 완성 전에 제거하도록 규정되어 있다. 그러나 최근 샥스핀 등 수산물에 중량 증량의 목적으로 메타규산나트륨을 불법 사용하는 사례가 지속적으로 발생함에 따라 메타규산나트륨의 사용 여부를 판별할 수 있는 분석법의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 그러나 메타규산나트륨의 수용액은 강알칼리성용액으로 식품에 첨가되면 해리되어 그 자체로 분석할 수 없으며, 규소 양의 측정을 통해 간접적인 방법으로 추정할 경우 시료 자체에 천연적으로 존재하는 규소와 구분해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 메타규산나트륨의 첨가 여부를 판별하기 위한 기초 자료 확보를 위해 메타규산나트륨 수용액에 가공되지 않은 상어지느러미를 침지하여 중량의 증가, pH 및 규소 함량 변화를 측정하였고, 이를 모니터링 결과와 비교하였다. 그러나 Robberecht 등(7)의 연구결과 6종의 어류에서 규소가 1.77-84.19 mg/kg의 범위에서 검출된 결과에서 알 수 있듯이, 수산물의 종류와 개체 간에 규소 함량의 편차가 크게 나타날 수 있기 때문에 향후 샥스핀의 규소 함량 모니터링을 지속적으로 수행하여 데이터베이스를 좀 더 보강할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단되며, 그 이후에 대조군과 pH, 수분 및 규소 함량 비교를 통해 메타규산나트륨 사용여부를 유추해 볼 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

Rat를 이용 산소 및 유해가스 노출에 따른 운동성 변화와 치사농도 연구 (Effects on Physiological Activities Caused by Oxygen Deficiency and Exposure to Noxious Gases in SD Rats)

  • As an effort to prevent serious accidents involving oxygen deficiency and suffocation in confined spaces and to identify the causes of such accidents, the present study investigated relevant accidents and systems in Korea and other countries. This study also conducted a number of experiments at lethal concentration levels of oxygen deficiency using SD rats and observed the changes of experimental animals with humidity, organic gas (toluene), hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and so on at the oxygen deficient environment. The results of the study are as follows. 1. The results from the experiment conducted using SD rats at lethal concentration levels of oxygen showed that there were no casualties at the 7% oxygen concentration level, but the mortality increase to 20% at 6% oxygen, it was jumped to 90% at 5% oxygen, and it was also dramatically reached 100% at 4% oxygen concentration. Therefore, 5.5% was calculated as the $LC_{50}$ (rat, 4hr) from these dose-response experiments with oxygen deficiency. 2. When we changed the level of toluene, $H_2S$, CO, humidity, and so on, in an oxygen deficient environment, it was observed that the small concentrations of $H_2S$ and CO make the highest effect on animals. In case of 350 ppm $H_2S$, it resulted in 30% mortality, and the 100% mortality was shown in 1,200 ppm CO concentration. The mortality increased as an oxygen deficient condition. However in the case of toluene up to 1,000 ppm, it were not affected with oxygen deficiency, and it did not indicate any significant differences in mortality as 20%, 90% humidities.

식물추출 유기농업자재 3종(님, 고삼, 데리스 추출물)의 꿀벌에 대한 독성평가 (Evaluation of Honeybee Acute Toxicity of Plant Extracts, Neem, Sophora and Derris)

  • 본 연구는 병해충 관리용 유기농업자재 허용물질로 지정된 식물추출물 중 님 추출물과 고삼추출물, 데리스 추출물 원제의 독성 평가를 위해 꿀벌에 대한 급성 접촉 및 섭식독성시험을 수행하였다. 급성접촉독성시험결과 님 추출물 2종과 데리스 추출물 2종은 $LD_{50}$이 100 ${\mu}g/bee$ 이상으로 독성이 매우 낮았고 고삼 추출물은 2종 모두 $LD_{50}$(48h)이 1.7 ${\mu}g/bee$로 매우 강한 독성을 보였다. 급성섭식독성시험결과 님 추출물 2종과 데리스 추출물 2종은 $LD_{50}$이 100 ${\mu}g/bee$ 이상으로 독성이 매우 낮았고 고삼 추출물A는 $LD_{50}$(48h)이 1.7 ${\mu}g/bee$, 고삼 추출물B는 $LD_{50}$(48h)이 0.3 ${\mu}g/bee$으로 모두 매우 강한 독성이 있는 것으로 평가되었다.

H2S 독성가스감지기가 필요한 정량적 공정설비 기준 및 비상시 안전을 위한 위치선정 방안에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Process Facility Standards that Require H2S Toxic Gas Detectors and Location Selection for Emergency Safety)

  • 천연가스 및 석유를 정제 및 가공하는 화공플랜트에서 원료에 함유된 황화수소($H_2S$)의 누출로 인한 피해를 최소화시키기 위한 설계 기법들이 세계적으로 널리 연구되어왔다. 그러나 국내에서는 화공플랜트에서 $H_2S$ 가스 피해 최소화를 위한 별도의 뚜렷한 설계 지침 및 규제가 없는 실정이다. 그러므로 본 연구는 $H_2S$ 독성가스감지기를 설치해야 할 공정설비의 $H_2S$ 가스 함량의 정량적 기준을 500 ppm으로 제시하고 타당한 근거를 설명하였다. 또한 ALOHA 프로그램을 사용하여 과거 $H_2S$ 가스 누출 사고를 재구성하여 IDLH 값인 100 ppm까지의 확산 반경을 산출하였다. 모델링의 기상 조건은 국내 3대 석유화학단지가 위치한 울산, 여수, 대산의 조건을 각각 적용하였으며, 울산, 대산, 여수 순서로 긴 반경이 도출되었다. 비상시 안전을 위해서 본 연구에서 얻은 $H_2S$ 가스의 100 ppm까지의 확산 반경을 고려한 추가적인 $H_2S$ 독성가스감지기가 설치되어야 하고, 이때는 반드시 지역별 기후조건이 고려되어야 할 것이다.

직사각형 리튬 이온 전지의 일체형 안전장치 제조 공정에 관한 연구 (Manufacturing Integral Safety Vents in Prismatic Lithium-ion Batteries)

  • A safety vent is crucial to protect its user from unpredictable explosions caused by increasing internal pressure of the lithium-ion batteries. In order to prevent the explosion of the battery, a safety vent rupture is required when the internal pressure reaches a critical value. In conventional manufacturing, the cap plate and the safety vent are fabricated separately and subsequently welded to each other. In the current study, a manufacturing process including a backward extrusion and coining process is suggested to produce an integral safety vent which also has the benefit of increasing production efficiency. FE simulations were conducted to predict the rupture pressure and to design the safety vent using a ductile fracture criterion and the element deletion method. The critical value, C, in the ductile fracture criterion was obtained from uniaxial tensile tests with an annealed sheet of 1050-H14 aluminum alloy. Rupture tests were preformed to measure the rupture pressure of the safety vent. The results met the required rupture pressure within 8.5±0.5 kgf/cm2. The simulation results were compared with experimental results, which showed that the predicted rupture pressures are in good agreement with experimentally measured ones with a maximum error of only 3.9%.

전기안전 업무의 비용효과 분석을 위한 전기화재 손실비용 추정방법 개발 (The Development on the Estimate method for the Cost-Effect Analysis of the Electrical Safety Management)

  • This paper estimates electrical fire damage cost-effect to analyze electrical safety efficiency by applying a cost-benefit analysis method for analyzing the efficiency of a business public interest. Electrical fire loss statistics data was presented as direct costs and casualties, including deaths due to an electrical fire, this paper adds overhead "Incidental Cost of Accidents to the Employer" by W. H. Heinrich was applied to estimate the cost of economic loss. Also wounded, including the loss of human deaths by referring to the car accident insurance claims costs and human development estimated the losses caused by an electrical fire. And to perform a cost-benefit analysis of the electrical safety as a result of future work. In this paper, the economic effect of the electric field of safety and public interest work to systematically presented.

홀파래에서 추출한 Rhamnan sulfate의 Macrophage에 의한 면역조절효과에 관한 연구 (Immunomodulating Effects on Macrophage of Rhamnan Sulfate Extracted from Monostroma nitidum)

  • The rhamnan sulfate extracted from green algae seaweed, Monostroma nitidum was characterized as activity in vitro culture assay with macrophages from mice. Rhamnan sulfate indicated that F-4-3 fraction enhanced glucose consumption, as well as the production of nitrogen dioxide and tumor necrosis factor(TNF). F-4-3 fraction was also augmented IL-1 secretion from those macrophages. Effects of the pretreatment of peritoneal macrophages with rhamnan sulfate F-4-3 fraction and several polysaccharides as relative standard on the production of H2O2 induced with unopsonized zymosan A were examined. Pretreatment with polysaccharides inhibited the zymosan A mediated H2O2 production by macrophages. The phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) mediated H2O2 production was not affected by the pretreament. These result suggested that pretreatment of rhamnan sulfate interfered with the interaction of macrophages zymosan A. Rhamnan sulfate inhibited zymosan A mediated production of H**O** by macrophages and F-4-3 Fraction was also activator of macrophages.

  • 해양에서 분리한 용균활성이 우수한 균주인 Bacillus subtilis SH-1의 배양특성을 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. Bacillus subtilis SH-1에 의한 용균효소 생산을 위한 치적조건인 1.0% glucose, 1.0% yeast extract, 1.0% NaCl, 0.02% $K_2HPO_4,\;0.002%\;MgSo_4{\cdot}7H_2O,\;0.001%\;MnSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O,\;0.0001%\;FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O\;(ph\;8.0)$의 배지로 $30^{\circ}C$에서 진탕배양하여 배양 28시간일 때 효소활성이 가장 높았다.

수소/공기/HFP 혼합기의 화학반응 및 점화지연 특성 (Characteristics of Chemical Reaction and Ignition Delay of $H_2$/Air/HFP Mixtures)

  • The chemistry and ignition delay of hydrogen/air/HFP premixed mixtures was investigated numerically with unsteady perfectly stirred reactor(PSR). The detailed chemistry of 93 species and 817 reaction mechanism was introduced for hydrogen/air/HFP mixtures. The results shows the temporal concentration variations of major or reactants such as hydrogen and oxygen during autoignition were similar to the spatial distribution of premixed flame while water vapor produced at the ignition temperature was decomposed later, which can be clarified with the relate species production rates that the the re-growth (or shoulder) of OH concentration is a result of F radicals attacking $H_20$ forming OH and HF. For the stoichiometric $H_2$/air mixture inhibited by 20% HFP, HFP thermal decomposition reaction prevails over the radical attack such as H at initial stage. Even though relatively large HFP addition contributes to delay the ignition, chemical effect on the ignition delay is not effective because of late thermal decomposition of HFP. The most small ignition delay was observed at a slightly fuel lean condition ($\phi$ = 0.9), and temperature dependency of ignition delay was clearly shown near 900 K.

Liquid entrainment through a large-scale inclined branch pipe on a horizontal main pipe

  • T-junction structures play an important role in nuclear power plant systems. Research on liquid entrainment is mostly based on small-scale branch pipes (d/D ≤ 0.2) and attention paid to large-scale branch pipes (0.33 < d/D < 1) is insufficient. Accordingly, this study implements a series of experiments on the liquid entrainment of T-junction with different angles (32.2°,47.9°,62.3°,90°) through a large-scale branch (d/D = 0.675). The onset liquid entrainment is related to the gas phase Froude number Frg, the dimensionless gas chamber height hb/d and the branch pipe angle 𝜃. As Frg increases, hb/d also rises. With a constant hb/d, the onset liquid entrainment changes from droplets entrainment by the gas phase to that by the rising liquid film. The steady-state liquid entrainment is related to w3g, h/d and 𝜃. With constant w3g and h/d, the branch quality grows as the branch angle increases. With a certain h/d, the branch quality increases, as the w3g number increases.
