$YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ 결정입계 접합을 이용한 마이크로파 감지소자 (Microwave Detector Using $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ Grain Boundary Junction)

  • $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$결정입계 접합을 이용한 마이크로파 감지소자 $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$초전도체 박막을 화학증착법을 이용하여 $LaAIO_{3}$단결정 위에 증착하여 임계온도 90K이상 임계전류밀도 $10^5/A \textrm{cm}^2$(77K) 이상의 우수한 박막을 제작하였다. 이를 포토작업과 이온밀링을 실시하여 수 마이크로미터 크기의 브릿지 형태로 만든 후 이들의 전류전압 특성을 조사하였다. 브릿지에 입사된 마이크로파의 크기에 따라 브릿지 간의 임계전류값의 저하가 관찰되었으며 동시에 샤피로스텝을 관찰할 수 있었다.

  • We report a successful fabrication of high-quality $SmBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-{\delta}}$ (SmBCO) thin films on $LaAlO_3$(LAO)(100) single crystalline substrates by a modified TFA-MOD method. After the pyrolysis heat treatment of spin-coated films up to $400^{\circ}C$, SmBCO films were fired at various temperatures ranging from 810 to $850^{\circ}C$ in a reduced oxygen atmosphere (10 ppm $O_2$ in Ar). Optimally processed SmBCO films exhibited the zero-resistance temperature ($T_{c,zero}$) of 90.2 K and the critical current density ($J_c$) of $0.8\;MA/cm^2$ at 77K in self-field. Compared with the $J_c$ values (normally, > $2\;MA/cm^2$ at 77 K) of MOD-TFA processed YBCO films, rather depressed $J_c$ values in SmBCO films are most probably attributed to the existence of ${\alpha}$-axis oriented grains.

F-free 구리 전구용액을 이용한 YBCO 박막 제조 (Fabrication of YBCO films in MOD processing using F-free Cu precursor solution)

  • Superconducting YBCO films were successfully fabricated by MOD process using F-free Cu precursor solution. In this study. a chemically modified precursor solution for MOD Processing was synthesized using metal-organic salts and F-free Cu precursor. It was shown that crack-free and uniform precursor films were formed after calcination in humidified oxygen atmosphere. Less than 3 hours are required to finish the calcination process. XRD measurement shows that $BaF_2,\;CuO,\;Y_2O_3$ are major constituent of precursor films. Furthermore. YBCO films without any secondary phases were successfully fabricated after annealing in wet $Ar/O_2$ prepared on a $LaA1O_3$ single crystal substrate $(10mm{\times}10mm)$ gives transport Ic of 10A at 77K. This chemical modification approach is a possible candidate for improving MOD-processing of YBCO coated conductor.

Cu가 도핑된 LSM의 구조분석과 열팽창특성 연구 (Structural analysis and thermal expansion property of Cu doped LSM for SOFCs)

  • 이종 원자가를 가시는 Cu의 도핑이 LSM에 미치는 영향을 구조적인 분석과 열팽창계수를 통해서 고찰하였다. 고상반응을 이용하여 $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}Mn_{1-x}Cu_xO_3$($0{\leq}x{\leq}0.3$)음 제조하였으며, Cu의 도핑 함량에 따른 결정구조 및 열팽창계수를 확인하였다. Cu 함량이 증가함에 따라서 격자상수외 열팽창계수가 감소하는 경향을 나타냈지만, x = 0.3인 경우에는 증가 하였다. 이러한 격자상수와 열팽창계수의 변화는 Cu 이온의 B-site에서의 Mn 자리에 치환될 때 $0{\leq}x{\leq}0.2$의 범위에서는 $Cu^{3+}$의 존재로 인한 이온 반성의 감소에 의한 것으로 판단되었고, x=0.3인 경우에는 $Cu^{2+}$$Mn^{4+}$의 존재로 인한 산소 공공의 증가에 기인한 것이었다.

  • [ $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_y$ ] superconducting films were prepared on $LaAlO_3$(100) single crystal substrate by spray pyrolysis method. The precursor solution was prepared by dissolving nitrate powders in de-ionized water. Both of ultrasonic and concentric nebulizers were used in order to generate fine droplets of precursor solution. C-axis oriented films were obtained at deposition temperature of $750\~850^{\circ}C$ and working pressure of 100 Torr and 500 Torr. In case of ultrasonic nebulizer, films showed rough and porous surface morphology due to formation of enormous droplets, while smooth and dense films were obtained for concentric nebulizer. A transport $J_c$ value of $0.43\;MA/cm^2$ at 77 K and self field was achieved on $LaAlO_3$(100) single crystal substrate.

Enhanced flux pinning property of GdBa2Cu3O7-x films by ferromagnetic surface decoration

  • We investigated the flux pinning property of GdBa2Cu3O7-x (GdBCO) films on top of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) nanoparticles deposited by a surface decoration. Both GdBCO films and LSMO nano particles were deposited by pulsed laser deposition and the number of laser pulses were varied from 80 to 320 in order to control the density of the LSMO nanoparticles. The magnetization data at 77 K showed that the critical current density (Jc) was enhanced in all of the GdBCO films with LSMO nanoparticles and that the Jc enhancement was found to be inversely proportional to the LSMO nanoparticle density. Structural analyses revealed that LSMO nanoparticles induce a compressive strain in the GdBCO films resulting in a disordering in the CuO2 plane. Therefore, the enhanced flux pinning property in the GdBCO with LSMO nanoparticles was attributed to the competing effect between the increase of pinning centers and the increase of compressive strain in the superconducting phase.

6~7C 부여 관북리 유적의 동 생산기법 연구 (A Study of Copper Production Techniques at the Archaeological Site in Gwanbukri, Buyeo in the 6th and 7th Centuries)

  • 부여 관북리 유적에서 시행된 동 생산 및 제련과정을 살펴보기 위하여 '나'지구, '라'지구 출토동 생산 부산물(동 슬래그 및 동 도가니) 11점의 과학적 분석을 시행하였다. 분석방법은 파장분산형 X-선 형광 분석, X-선 회절 분석, 금속 현미경 관찰, 주사 전자현미경-에너지 분산형 X-선 분석기, 전계방출 전자탐침미량분석기, 라만 마이크로분광분석법을 사용하였다. 분석결과 관북리 동 슬래그에서는 주로 도가니 슬래그 및 정련 슬래그에서 전형적인 특징으로 나타나는 규산염 광물, Magnetite, Fayalite, Delafossite 등이 검출되었다. 또한 관북리 동 슬래그는 외형 및 미세조직의 양상의 특성에 따라 1. 유리질 바탕 기지 + Cu prill, 2. 유리질 바탕 기지 + Cu prill + Magnetite, 3. 규산염 광물 바탕 기지 + Cu prill, 4. 결정질(Delafossite, Magnetite)/유리질(비정질) 바탕 기지 + Cu prill, 5. Magnetite + Fayalite, 6. 청동합금 슬래그로 분류되었다. 미세조직 내에는 SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, SO4 P2O5, Ag2O, Sb2O3 등의 불순물이 잔재되어 있으며, 일부는 주석과 납이 합금되어 있는 것을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 부여 관북리 유적에서는 동 생산과정 중 배소와 제련을 거친 동 중간생성물의 정련과 불순물이 함유된 동-주석, 또는 동-주석-납의 합금정련을 시행하였다고 판단된다.

Superconductivity of infinite layer cuprate

  • The infinite layer compound $ACuO_2$, (A-Alkaline earth) consists of infinite stacking of $CuO_2$ planes separated only by alkaline earth ions. This compound attracted much attention because it contains only key ingredient of all cuprate high temperature superconductor; $CuO_2$ plane with controllable carrier concentration without charge reservoir block. High pressure synthesis method has been found to be preferable for this system due to its ability of doping various lanthanide ion into A site with larger superconducting volume fraction. But rigorous study on this rudimentary compound has been hindered by insufficient quality of sample. Especially superconductlng volume fraction was often too small to identify its origin. In this presentation, we report high pressure synthesis of $Sr_{0.9}Ln_{0.1}CuO_2$ (Ln=La, Sm). By controlling the heating temperature precisely during high pressure synthesis we could have superconductors with quite high superconducting volume fraction for this compound. The magnetic properties of the graln aligned samples show very different behavior compared to the cuprate high temperature superconductors. Details will be discussed.

MOD-TFA 공정에 의한 YBCO박막제조시 과잉 yttrium첨가 효과에 관한 연구 (Effects of Excess Yttrium Addition on YBCO Thin Films Prepared by TFA-MOD Process)

  • [ $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$ ] thin films were fabricated on $LaAlO_3$(100) substrate by TFA-MOD process. Yttrium-excess (0, 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20 $at\%$) coating solution was prepared by adding extra amount of yttrium into a stoichiometric(Y:Ba:Cu=1:2:3) TFA precursor solution. Results are presented concerning the influence of excess yttrium additions on the microstructure development and superconducting properties of $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$ film. Large sized CuO particles was observed by SEM EDS investigation. The addition of excess yttrium affected little on $T_c$ of $YBa_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7-x}$ film. $J_c$ of YBCO film was enhanced with excess yttrium addition. Jc maximum of $2.21\;MA/cm^2$ (77 K, self field) appeared with the $15\;at\%$ addition of excess yttrium. With further yttrium addition up to $20\;at\%$, Jc decreased down to $0.9\;MA/cm^2$.
