  • 이산화탄소 저감을 위한 유효한 방법 중의 하나로 칼슘규산염 광물의 간접탄산염화 공정이 보고되고 있다. 이 공정은 염산, 질산 등의 산에 의하여 칼슘규산염으로부터 칼슘성분을 침출하는 단계와 이산화탄소에 의한 침출용액의 탄산염화 단계의 두 과정으로 구성된다. 침출용매로 초산수용액을 사용하는 경우에는 침출용액을 이산화탄소로 탄산염화 하는 과정에서 초산이 재생성 되어 침출단계로 순환되어 침출용매로 재사용될 수 있다. 제철 및 제강슬래그와 같은 산업부산물은 칼슘규산염을 많이 함유하고 있어 간접탄산염화공정의 원료로 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 초산수용액에 의한 국내 전기로제강슬래그의 침출효율을 조사하기 위하여, 초산수용액 농도, 침출온도 및 침출시간 등의 침출조건 변화에 따른 침출실험을 수행하였다.

Liquid-liquid extraction process for gas separation from water in polymeric membrane: Mathematical modeling and simulation

  • In this study, application of polypropylene hollow fiber membrane contactors for $CO_2$ removal from water in liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) mode was simulated. For this purpose, a steady state 2D mathematical model was developed. In this model axial and radial diffusion was considered to $CO_2$ permeation through the hollow fibers. $CO_2$ laden water is fed at a constant flow rate into the lumen side, permeated through the pores of membrane and at the end of this process, $CO_2$ solution in the lumen side was extracted by means of aqueous diethanolamine (DEA) and chemical reaction. The simulation results were validated with the experimental data and it was found a good agreement between them, which confirmed the reliability of the proposed model. Both simulation and experimental results confirmed the reduction in the percentage of $CO_2$ removal by increment of feed flow rate.

라테라이트광의 건식분쇄가 니켈 및 코발트의 침출에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dry Grinding of Laterite on the Extraction of Nickel and Cobalt)

  • 본 연구에서는 라테라이트광의 건식 분쇄가 니켈 및 코발트의 침출에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 시료로 사용한 라테라이트광은 주로 $SiO_2$, $Fe_2O_3$, MgO로 이루어져 있으며, 니켈과 코발트의 함량은 0.81% Ni, 0.02% Co이었다. 주 구성 광물은 리자다이트와 석영이며, 미량의 포스터라이트와 엔스터타이트를 함유하고 있었다. 분쇄가 진행됨에 따라 시료의 평균입도, 비표면적, 밀도는 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, X-선 회절분석을 통해 리자다이트의 비정질화가 진행됨을 확인하였다. 분쇄에 의한 석영의 물성변화는 나타나지 않았으나, 리자다이트의 Mg-OH 결합이 파괴됨으로써 니켈 및 코발트의 침출율이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 분쇄가 진행됨에 따라 니켈과 코발트의 침출율은 증가하였으며, 60분 분쇄한 시료의 경우, 사용한 무기산의 종류에 관계없이 니켈과 코발트의 침출율은 약 80%로 나타났다.

초임계 추출에 의한 정어리에서 Eicosapentaenoic Acid의 추출 및 분리 (Extraction and Separation of Eicosapentaenoic Acid from Sardine by using Supercritical $CO_2$ Extraction)

  • 정어리 유(油)를 추출 분리하기 위하여 초임계 탄산가스를 용매로하여 추출을 시도하였다. 초임계 탄산가스의 추출조에서의 조건은 추출압력은 5,000~8,000psig. 추출온도는 50~$80^{\circ}C$로 하였을때 탄산가스의 흐름과 확산이 좋았다. 그러므로 평형 용해도는 가스의 유속이 높을때 추출조에서 쉽게 일어난다. 이러한 추출조건하에서 온도 $60^{\circ}C$, 압력 6,000psig. 일때 추출효과가 가장 좋았다. 초임계탄산가스를 추출된 정어리 유는 핵산으로 추출한 것보다 색소가 약하고 냄새도 적었으며 인의 함량은 낮았다. 추출장치에서 분획한 결과 eicosapentaenoic acid($C_{20-5}$)가 90.5%까지 분리되었다.

고종시 감껍질의 추출조건에 따른 항산화 활성 (Changes in the Antioxidant Potential of Persimmon Peel Extracts Prepared by Different Extraction Methods)

  • Background: Astringent persimmon (Diospyros kaki Thunb. cv. Kojongsi) peels are by-products of dried persimmons. This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activities of Kojongsi persimmon peel (KPP) extracts prepared by 15 different extraction methods: 5 heating durations (0.5 - 2.5 h) at 3 heating temperatures (50, 70, and $90^{\circ}C$). Methods and Results: An increase in heating temperature increased the antioxidant effect of KPP extracts. Those prepared by heating at 1 h had the highest total phenol content, regardless of the heating temperature. In addition, the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity and cell-protective effects against $H_2O_2-induced$ oxidative stress were dependent on the total phenol contents of the extract. However, the KPP-induced increased in catalase expression was dependent on heating temperature and duration. Conclusions: These results suggest that extraction by heating at $90^{\circ}C$ for 1 h may enhance KPP's antioxidant effects, which mainly involve non-enzymatic antioxidant systems.

PET/Co-PET해도사 직물의 Co-PET추출 조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on Extraction Condition of Co-PET from PET/Co-PET Sea-Island Type Microfiber Fabric)

  • In order to make a microfiber fabric with PET/Co-PET Sea-Island Type microfiber, the optimum condition of extraction and elimination of Co-PET from the mocrofiber was examined. At the same time, the physical property change of the fabric with respect to the change of the relative amount of the Co-PET in the microfiber was also examined to provide a directly applicable data set to the industry. The sample fabric used was warp 75/36(DTY) and weft 0.05d(PET/Co-PET, Sea Island Type Microfiber) twill fabric of 36 separated yarns+40/24(high shrinking yarn) with 130/48 ITY. The data set was made at various NaOH concentrations and steam temperatures with time as a main variable. The physical properties examined were the tensile properties. The results obtained were the tensile. The results obtained were 1. For a proper extraction of Co-PET (13.5%)from the microfiber with wet curing, it takes more than 5 min. in 8 and 12% of NaOH solutions but it takes only 3 min. in 18% of NaOH solution at 12$0^{\circ}C$. 2. For a proper extraction of Co-PET (13.5%) from the microfiber with wet curing, ti takes 3~5min. in 12 and 14% of NaOH solution and it takes less than 3 min. in 18% of NaOH solution at $130^\circ{C}$. 3. The increasing ratio of WT increased with increasing NaOH concentrations and the equilibrium point reached was 3 min. at $120^\circ{C}$. 4. The WT increasing ratio was greater in 14 and 18% NaOH solutions than in 8 and 12% of NaOH solutions at $130^\circ{C}$5. The RT ratio changes at $120^\circ{C}$ in 8 and 12% of NaOH solutions were indifferent from that at $130^\circ{C}$ in 12% of NaOH solution. However, the RT was apparently decreased with increasing NaOH concentration.

망간단괴 침출액으로부터 LIX 84에 의한 구리, 니켈의 용매추출 (Solvent Extraction of Copper and Nickel from Manganese Nodule Leachate by LIX 84)

  • A study on the separation Cu, Ni, and Co was carried out using LIX 84 leachate, chelate extractant. For this test, artificial test solution was prepared by varing concentrations of Cu, Ni, Co, $(NH_4)_2CO_3$ and $(NH_4)_2SO_4$. It found that pH of the solution was very important factor for the separation of nickel from copper. The results showed that nickel was effectively extracted from copper by using LIX 84 at pH 1.0 to 1.2. The volume ration or organic to aqueous phases was 1.0. According to the McCabe-Thiele diagram, the extraction rate of copper was 99 percents at the equal ratio of organic to aqueous phase in three stages.

초임계 이산화탄소를 이용한 커피의 향기 성분 증진 (Enrichment of Coffee Flavors with Supercritical Carbon Dioxide)

  • 커피의 향기 성분의 증가를 위해 초임계 이산화탄소를 사용하고, 일반적인 커피 추출 방법인 에스프레소를 통하여 증가 효율을 알아보았다. 커피 음료의 향 성분은 변형된 헤드스페이스법으로 수거하여 분석하였다. 모든 장치는 향 성분이 유출되지 않도록 밀폐하여 수행하였다. 분석은 GC를 이용하였고 다섯 가지 향기 성분을 표준품으로 하였다. 초임계 이산화탄소는 압력과 온도의 영향을 받아 밀도와 용해도가 변화하고 이로써 용해력이 변화하기 때문에, 압력과 온도의 최적화 실험을하였다. 추출 후 product와 헤드스페이스의 향기 성분을 모두 분석하였고 그 결과 350 bar, 80$^\circ$C의 조건에서 최대의 효율을 나타내었다. 또한 추출 시 헤드스페이스로 날아가는 향기 성분보다 product로 추출되는 향기 성분이 76.6배 이상 많았다. 커피의 초임계 추출물을 음용하기 위해서 초임계 커피 음료를 만들고, 이의 향기 성분 증가 효율을 확인하기 위해서 초임계 추출 과정을 거치지 않은 커피도 에스프레소로 추출하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 초임계 이산화탄소 추출로 커피 음료의 향기 성분을 2.3배 증가시킬 수 있었다.

The Storage Property of Squid Viscera by Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Extraction

  • The oil and concentrated protein powder from squid viscera was extracted and recovered by a semi-batch supercritical carbon dioxide ($SCO_2$) extraction system and the degree of oxidation in the extracted oil was measured in order to compare with extracted oils using organic solvents. The degree of storage in treated squid viscera by $SCO_2$ extraction was measured in order to compare with untreated squid viscera. As results obtained, it was found that the auto-oxidation of the oils using $SCO_2$ extraction occurred very slowly compared to the oils by organic solvent extraction. And the treated squid viscera by $SCO_2$ extraction was reached the point of initial rottenness slowly than untreated squid viscera.
