코발트 청색 채색료에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Cobalt Blue Spinel Stains)

  • The cobalt blue spinel stains (main composition; CoO:$Al_2O_3$=1 : 1) in CoO-NiO-$Al_2O_$3 and $CoO-Al_2O_3-Cr_2O_3$ system were prepared by the calcination of each component oxides to be adequate for the factory. The color development, the change of the lattice constnat of the spinel and its application to colored glazes were studied. The results were summarized as follows. 1) In CoO-Al_2O_3$ spinel, the excess addition of each component hardly made any variation in lattice constantand alumina-rich spinel specimens caused the brilliant blue color fade. 2) An increase of $Ni^{2+}$ in $CoO-NiO-Al_2O_3$ system, made the lattice constnat of the $CoO-Al_2O_3$ spinel smaller, and an increase of $Cr^{3+}$ in $CoO-Al_2O_3-Cr_2O_3$, larger. 3) Glazed stains under lead glaze were colored nearly same dark blue color fade.

  • Al2O3-20 wt% ZrO2 composite powders to be used as the starting materials of the Al2O3/ZrO2-Spinel composite system were prepared by the use of the emulsion-hot kerosene drying method. The crystalline phase of ZrO2 in the synthesized Al2O3-ZrO2 composite powders was 100% tetragonal but the small amount of t-ZrO2 was transformed into m-ZrO2 after crushing. The hardness, fracture toughness, and flexural strength of the composite, which was sintered at 1650$^{\circ}C$ for 4 hrs after calcining at 1100$^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs and had the relative density of 99%, were 15.7 GPa, 4.97 MN/m3/2, and 390 MPa, respectively. The fracture form in the sintered composites was found to be the intergranular fracture.

$Al_2O_3/Mo/MnO_2$ 복합재료의 기계적 특성 (Mechanical properties of $Al_2O_3/Mo/MnO_2$ composite)

  • [ $Al_2O_3-MoO_3$ ]의 혼합물을 환원소성하면 $MoO_3$$900^{\circ}C$에서 Mo로 환원되고 $1300^{\circ}C$까지 $Al_2O_3$와 Mo간의 화합물은 형성되지 않았다. $Al_2O_3-MoO_3-MnO_2$, 혼합물의 경우, $900^{\circ}C$에서 먼저 $MnO_2$$MoO_3$와 반응하여 중간화합물 $Mn_2Mo_3O_8$를 형성하였다가. $1100^{\circ}C$$1300^{\circ}C$에서 $Mn_2Mo_3O_8$ 화합물은 사라지고 새로운 화합물 $MnAl_2O_4$가 생성되었다. $Al_2O_3$$MoO_3,\;MnO_2$의 혼합분말 중 Mo만이 선택적으로 환원되는 selective reduction process에 의해 $Al_2O_3/Mo/MnO_2$ 복합재를 제조하였다. $Al_2O_3/Mo$ 복합재의 경우 Mo의 함량이 증가함에도 불구하고 Mo입자가 $Al_2O_3$ matrix의 입성장을 억제하여 평균입경의 변화는 거의 없었다. 파괴강도는 $Al_2O_3$ matrix의 입성장 억제 현상 때문에 Mo의 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 경도는 Mo의 낮은 경도값 때문에 약간 감소하였으나 반면에 파괴인성은 증가하였다. $Al_2O_3/Mo/MnO_2$ 복합재의 경우 $MnO_2$는 matrix의 입성장을 촉진시켰고, Mo와 $MnO_2$의 함량이 증가함에 따라 $MnO_2$의 입성장효과 때문에 오히려 낮은 파괴강도를 보였다. 경도는 입계에 존재하는 coalesced Mo 입자들과 matrix의 입성장 때문에 더욱 감소하였으나 반면에 파괴인성은 더욱 증가하는 경 향을 보였다.

  • 저전압용 형광체로 주목받고 있는 SrTiO$_3$:Pr,Al 형광체를 고상반응법으로 제조하였다. 부활성체 Al이 23 mol% 첨가되었을 때 SrTiO$_3$:Pr 형광체는 최대 발광 강도를 보여주었다. 최대 발광 강도를 보인 형광체에 대해 제한시야회절상과 투과전자현미경을 이용하여 SrTiO$_3$:Pr,Al 적색 형광체내 2차상 형성에 대한 연구를 행하였고 또한 에너지 분산 분광 분석을 행하여 SrTiO$_3$:Pr,Al 형광체내 주입된 부활성제 Al의 함량을 결정하였다. 제한시야회절상의 결과에 의하면 SrTiO$_3$:Pr,Al 적색 형광체내에 단사정 SrAl$_2$O$_4$, 삼사정 Ti$_4$O$_{7}$, 육방정 SrAl$_{12}$O$_{19}$가 2차상으로 존재함을 보여 주었다. 에너지 분산 분광 분석 결과 부활성제 Al의 함량 중 일부는 SrTiO$_3$:Pr,Al 적색 형광체 격자에 고용되고 일부 Al은 SrAl$_{12}$O$_{19}$와 SrAl$_2$O$_4$의 2차상을 형성하는데 소모됨을 보여주었다.주었다.

마이크로파를 이용한 황산세륨으로 개질화 된 SiC/Al2O3 촉매의 CF4 분해 특성 (Decomposition Characteristics of CF4 by SiC/Al2O3 Modified with Cerium Sulfate Using Microwave System)

  • 마이크로파 열분해 시스템을 이용하여 Ce 담지량이 다른 알루미나 촉매의 $CF_4$ 분해에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. 마이크로파 발열체로는 실리콘카바이드를 사용하였다. 각 촉매의 결정상은 XRD로 관찰하였으며 $CF_4$의 분해율은 GC-TCD를 사용하였다. $500^{\circ}C$ 반응온도에서 10 wt% Ce로 개질화한 알루미나가 개질화하지 않은 알루미나에 비해 $CF_4$ 분해율이 높았다. 반응속도상수 k값은 $Ce(20)/Al_2O_3=Ce(0)/Al_2O_3 순이었다. XRD 패턴은 $Ce(0)/Al_2O_3$에서는 반응 전후의 차이가 나타나지 않았으며 $Al_2O_3$의 결정구조만 관찰되었다. 반면에 Ce를 담지한 촉매에서는 산화알루미늄와 산화세륨의 혼합형으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과 Ce를 담지한 $Al_2O_3$촉매는 Ce를 담지하지 않은 촉매에 비해 동일한 분해율을 가지면서 반응온도를 $200^{\circ}C$ 정도를 낮출 수 있음을 보여주었다. 또한 cerium sulfate의 적정비율은 5~10 wt%임을 보여주었다.

SiC의 산화에 의한 $Al_2O_3/SiC$ 복합체의 제조 (Fabrication of $Al_2O_3/SiC$ Composite Through Oxidation of SiC)

  • The surface of SiC particles were partially oxidized to produce SiO2 layers on the SiC particles to prepare Al2O3/SiC composite by formation of mullite bonds between the grains of Al2O3 and SiC during sintering at 1$600^{\circ}C$. This process is considered to enable the sintering of Al2O3/SiC composite at lower temperature and also to relieve the stress, produced by thermal expansion mismatch between Al2O3 and SiC. In fact, Al2O3/SiC composite prepared by oxidation of SiC was observed to be more effectively sintered and densified at lower temperature. Maximum density, flexural strength and microhardness were obtained with 5.65 vol% of mullite content in Al2O3/SiC composite.

SHS법을 이용한 복합분말(Al2O3-SiC) 제조시 TiO2첨가의 영향 (The effect of the addition of TiO2 in the preparation of (Al2O3-SiC)- SiC composite powder by SHS Process)

  • $Al_2O_3-SiC$ and $Al_2O_3-SiC$-TiC composite powders were prepared by SHS process using $SiO_2,\;TiO_2$, Al and C as raw materials. Aluminum powder was used as reducing agent of $SiO_2,\;TiO_2$ and activated charcoal was used as carbon source. In the preparations of $Al_2O_3-SiC$, the effect of the molar ratio in raw materials, compaction pressure, preheating temperature and atmosphere were investigated. The most important variable affecting the synthesis of $Al_2O_3-SiC$ was the molar ratio of carbon. Unreactants remained in the product among all conditions without compaction. The optimum condition in this reaction was $SiO_2$: Al: C=3: 5: 5.5, 80MPa compaction pressure under Preheating of $400^{\circ}C$ with Ar atmosphere. However there remains cabon in the optimum condition. The effect of $TiO_2$ as additive was investigated in the preparations of $Al_2O_3-SiC$. As a result of $TiO_2$ addition, $Al_2O_3-SiC$-TiC composite powder was prepared. The $Al_2O_3$ powder showed an angular type with 8 to $15{\mu}m$, and the particle size of SiC powder were 5~$10{\mu}m$ and TiC powder were 2 to $5{\mu}m$.

결정질 실리콘 태양전지의 패시베이션 적용을 위한 Al2O3/SiON 적층구조의 열적 안정성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Thermal Stability of an Al2O3/SiON Stack Structure for c-Si Solar Cell Passivation Application)

  • We investigated the influence of blistering on $Al_2O_3$/SiON stacks and $Al_2O_3$/SiNx:H stacks passivation layers. $Al_2O_3$ film provides outstanding Si surface passivation quality. $Al_2O_3$ film as the rear passivation layer of a p-type Si solar cell is usually stacked with a capping layer, such as $SiO_2$, SiNx, and SiON films. These capping layers protect the thin $Al_2O_3$ layer from an Al electrode during the annealing process. We compared $Al_2O_3$/SiON stacks and $Al_2O_3$/SiNx:H stacks through surface morphology and minority carrier lifetime after annealing processes at $450^{\circ}C$ and $850^{\circ}C$. As a result, the $Al_2O_3$/SiON stacks were observed to produce less blister phenomenon than $Al_2O_3$/SiNx:H stacks. This can be explained by the differences in the H species content. In the process of depositing SiNx film, the rich H species in $NH_3$ source are diffused to the $Al_2O_3$ film. On the other hand, less hydrogen diffusion occurs in SiON film as it contains less H species than SiNx film. This blister phenomenon leads to an increase insurface defect density. Consequently, the $Al_2O_3$/SiON stacks had a higher minority carrier lifetime than the $Al_2O_3$/SiNx:H stacks.

$Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$복합재료의 기계적 성질 및 마멸특성 (Mechanical Properties and Wear Behaviour of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ Composite Materials)

  • $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites are fabricated by squeeze infiltration method. From the misconstructive of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites fabricated by squeeze infiltration method, uniform distribution of reinforcements and good bondings are found. Hardness value of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites increases linearly with the volume fraction of reinforcement because SiC whisker and $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$ fiber have an outstanding hardness. Optimal aging conditions are obtained by examining the hardness of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites with different aging time. Tensile properties such as Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength are improved up to 30% and 40% by the addition of reinforcements, respectively. Failure mode of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is ductile on microstructural level. Through the abrasive wear test and wear surface analysis, wear behaviour and mechanism of 6061 aluminum and $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites are characterized under various testing conditions. The addition of SiC whisker to $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ composites gives rise to improvement of the wear resistance. The wear resistance of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is superior to that of Al/SiC composites. The wear mechanism of aluminum alloy is mainly abrasive wear at low speed range and adhesive and melt wear at high speed range. In contrast, that of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is abrasive wear at all speed range, but severe wear when counter material is stainless steel. As the testing temperature increases, wear loss of aluminum alloy decreases because the matrix is getting more ductile, but that of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is hardly varied. Oil lubricant is more effective to reduce the wear loss of aluminum alloy and $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites at high speed range.
