Formulation of omeprazole using omeprazole-ethylenediamine complex of omeprazole for its stabilization

  • OMPED의 결합비는 1:1 몰비로 복합체가 형성됨을 확인하였다. 수용액중(pH 7.0)에서 OMP는 분해속도 k=1.542$\times$$10^{-2}$$hr^{-1}$, shelf life=6.81hr 이었고 OMPED는 k=2.088$\times$$10^{-4}$$hr^{-1}$, shelf life=502.8hr이며 중성은 물론 약산성에서 안정하였다. HPMCP로 장용피한 OMPED pellet은 산저항성이 완벽하고 용출속도가 양호하였으며, OMPED 정제에서는 CAP로 코팅한 정제가 가장 큰 AUC값을 나타내었다. Witepsol H-15 기제를 사용한 각 좌제의 생체이용율은 OMPED 좌제가 86.53 $\mu\textrm{g}$ㆍmin/$m\ell$ 로서 OMP 좌제 61.9 $\mu\textrm{g}$ㆍmin/$m\ell$ 및 OMP-$\beta$-CD 좌제 68.8 $\mu\textrm{g}$ㆍmin/$m\ell$이다.

Inhibitory Effects of Magnesuim Carbonate on Cytotoxicity, Genotoxicity, Mutagenicity, and Cell Transformation by Nickel Subsulfide (Nickel Subsulfide의 세포독성, 유전독성, 변이원성 및 세포변이에 대한 Magnesuim Carbonate의억제효과)

  • In order to know the inhibitory effect of magnesium carbonate(MgCO3) on cytotoxicity, DNA damage, mutagenicity, and cell transforming ability of nickel subsulfide, the inhibition of cell proliferation, DNA-protein crosslinks formation (DPC), HGPRT point mutation, and cell transformation were evaluated. Nickel subsulfide(Ni3S2) and magnesium carbonate as insoluble compounds were used for this study. BALB/3T3 cell, CHO-K1 cell, and C3H10T1/2 cell were used in this experiment. Exposure concentration of nickel subsulfide was 1 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml. The concentrations of magnesium carbonate in this study were 0.6 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml, 1.2 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml, 2.4 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml and the molar ratio of magnesium to nickel when exposed simultanously were 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 respectively. The results were as follows; 1. Magnesium carbonate reduced the inhibitory effect of nickel subsulfide on cell proliferation. 2. Magnesium carbonate also reduced the effect of nickel subsulfide on DNA-protein crosslinks formation. 3. HGPRT point mutagenicity of nickel subsulfide was reduced when magnesium carbonate treated simultaneously. 4. Magnesium carbonate reduced cell transforming ability of nickel subsulfide. Conclusively, nickel subsulfide showed cytotoxicity, cell transforming ability, and mutagenicity strongly and magnesium carbonate may have protective roles in these nickel effects.

Daily Intakes and the Blood Levels of Heavy Metals of the College Women Living in Choongchung-NamDo Area (충남지역 일부 여대생의 식이를 통한 중금속 섭취량과 혈중 중금속 농도)

  • As the severity of environmental pollution increases, the foodstuffs are contaminated more the ever. There are 40 kinds of heavy metals that we are able to consume through the heavy metal contaminated-foodstuffs. Arsenic, lead, cadmium, and chromium out or them have been know to be a potential cause for a alzheimers disease, kidney diseases, and cancer. However, research data on the daily intakes of such heavy metals are limited. This study was performed to evaluate the daily intakes of nutrients and the dietary heavy metals of the college women living in Choongchung-NamDo Area, where had been reported to have high contents of heavy metals for the seafoods. We also investigated the blood levels of the heavy metals. The mean age, height, weight, BMI and percent ideal body weight(PIBW) of the subjects were 20$\pm$1.0yr, 158.4$\pm$0.7cm, 55.1$\pm$1.4kg, 22.4$\pm$.04, and 103.3$\pm$2.5 %, resp-ectivly. The mean of daily energy intake was 1,717.03$\pm$55.99kacl/day(86% of RDA for women). The ratio to energy from carbohydrate, fat and protein was 60: 24: 16. Daily intakes of Vit A, Vit B$_2$, CA, and Fe were under the RDA for those nutrients. The mean adequate ratio of the subjects was 0.92 . The daily intakes of heavy metal, such as As, Pb, Co, Cr and Mn , were 1.80$\pm$0.27mg, 75.21$\pm$4.12$\mu\textrm{g}$, 21.12$\pm$12.34$\mu\textrm{g}$, 60.07$\pm$6.24$\mu\textrm{g}$ and 6.23 $\pm$0.12mg respectively. the blood levels of As, Pb, Co, Cr and Mn were 16.10$\pm$2.10$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 4.32$\pm$0.58$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 0.02$\pm$0.01$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, 4.23$\pm$0.41$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, and 4.40$\pm$0.21$\mu\textrm{g}$/dl, respectively. In conclusion, daily intake of heavy metals for the college women living in Choongchung-NamDo area was lower than that of WHOs re-commendation, however, the blood levels of each heavy metals were higher than those of Japanese, american, and italian, There were no correlations between the dietary intakes and blood levels of each heavy metals. Production of Fine Cobalt Metal Powders from Stellite Scrap (Stellite 스크랩으로 부터 Co 미분말의 제조)

  • Fine cobalt metal powders was produced from domestic Stellite scrap by decomposing it with molten sodium hydroxide. Complete decomposition of the scrap could be obtained with the weigth ratio of sodium hydroxide to Stellite being about 2 at the temperature ranges of $750~800^{\circ}C$ for an hour. The cobalt-bearing compound was identified as $Co_2O_3{\dot}H_2O$ by X-ray analysis and D.T.-T.G.a.. The compound was then digested in HCI to form cobalt chloride, and after iron removal by adjusting the pH of the solution, cobaltous or cobaltic hydroxide was precipitated at the pH of about 13 or 4, respectively. The precipitates were reduced by hydrogen in the temperatures of $400~500^{\circ}C$ to fine cobalt powders of high purity with the size of 1.0 to $1.5\mu\textrm{m}$. The recovery of cobalt from Stellite scrap was about 75~86% by weight.

  • The Commercial LiCoO$_2$ particles, which were 7.7${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in average diameter, were coated with $Al_2$O$_3$ by a gas suspension spray coating method. The coating amount of $Al_2$O$_3$ on the surface of LiCoO$_2$ was varied from 0.1 to 2 wt.% and compared their electrochemical characteristics with those of bare LiCoO$_2$. $Al_2$O$_3$ coating on the surface of LiCoO$_2$ increased surface area and electrical conductivity, and showed the better cycle and thermal stability even at the higher voltage. The observed optimum A1$_2$O$_3$ coating amount that exhibited the highest capacity retention was 0.2 wt.%.

  • In order to prepare a prodrug, poly(polyethylene glycol methacrylate-co-methacryloyloxymethyl-5-fluorouracil) (poly(PEGM-co-MAOFU)) prodrug particles were prepared by precipitation polymerization of MAOFU and PEGM in polyacrylic acid solution. The size of prodrug particles were 0.2-0.35 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. The antitumor activity of prodrugs against sarcoma-l80 tumor cell in mice was demonstrated and the polymer particles themselves showed low toxicity and good biocompatibility when they were administrated into mice.

  • This study was designed to determine biochemical and pharmacological properties of a newly synthesized benzimidazole derivative, 2-amino-4, 5-dihydropyrido [1, 2-a] thiazolo [5, 4-g] benzimidazole (YJA20379-5) in vitro and in vivo. In the leaky membrane vesicles of pig gastric mucosa, YJA20379-5 inhibited the $K^+$-stimulated $H^+$, $K^+$-ATPase activity in a concentration- and time-dependent manner, with $IC_{50}$ values being $43{\mu}\textrm{M}$ and $43{\mu}\textrm{M}$ at pH 6.4 and 7.4, respectively. YJA20379-5, given intraduodenally, had a potent inhibitory effect on the gastric acid secretion in pylorus-ligated rats. The $ED_{50}$ value for acid secretion was 15.4 mg/kg. YJA20379-5, administered orally, also suppressed gastric damages induced by water-immersion stress, indomethacin and ethanol, and duodenal damage induced by mepirizole in rats; the $ED_{50}$ values were 17.6, 4.7, 3.0 and 18.7 mg/kg, respectively. Furthermore, repeated oral administration of YJA20379-5 accelerated the spontaneous healing of acetic acid-induced gastric ulcers in rats. It is concluded that the a-ntisecretory activity of YJA20379-5 appears to be associated with inhibition of $H^+$, $K^+$-ATPase, while its antigastric and antiduodenal lesion activities are primarily related to the antisecretory effect.

  • This study focuses on the structure of geographical conditions, the riverbed, the meterological and atmospheric examination, the ecological environment, the food chain and the ecosystem, in order to establish a basic plan for preparing a natural learning area of environmental ecosystem in Bukchun and its surroundings, Gyeongju. The results could be summarized as follows. Bukchun is a first grade which extends 6km along the road from Bomun bridge to the junction of Hyungsangang. The basin area is 7.10$\textrm{km}^2$ and the slope is 1/200~1/300. Gyeongju has good atmospheric conditions, i.e. SO$_2$0.011 ~0.017ppm, CO 0.8~ 1.5ppm, NO$_2$0.013~0.019ppm, $O_3$0.013~0.020ppm, TSP 85~142$\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥, PM-10 47~90$\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥ and Pb 0.057 ~0.129$\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥, which is below the annual and daily averages, and is little lower than those of Pohang and Ulsan. The ecosystem of Bukchun is based on the structure of the food chain, which includes birds such as the grey and white herons at the top of the food chain. This study also considers the development of the river's in terms of culture, environment and ecology concept.

  • To investigate what kinds effect arsenic exert on the proliferation and differentiation of bone marrow cells to the neutrophilic granulocytes lineage cells, we treated sodium arsenite to murine bone marrow cells without or with the stimulation of G-CSF. When we added the various concentrations oj sodium arsenite to bone marrow cells without the stimulation of G-CSF for I, 3, 5 or 7 days, sodium arsenite did not make an any effect up to 2.5 $\mu\textrm{M}$$\mu\textrm{M}$$\mu\textrm{M}$$\mu\textrm{M}$$\mu\textrm{M}$$m\ell$ of G-CSF was induced by the co treatment of 12.5 $\mu\textrm{M}$

Properties of Hexaferrite Co2Y(Ba2Co2Fe12O22) Prepared by Coprecipitation Method (공침법에 의해 제조된 육방정 산화철 Co2Y(Ba2Co2Fe12O22)의 특성)

  • It had been studied the structure and the magnetic properties of singel phase Co2Y(Ba2Co2Fe12O22) powder, one of the hexagonal ferrite. The material was successfully prepared by a commercially applicable coprecipitation method. Adding asqueous solution of BaCl2, CoCl2 and FeCl2(Ba2+:Co2+:Fe2+=1:1:6 in mole ratio) to a mixture of NaOH and hydrogen peroxide solution, coprecipitate was formed with rapid oxidation of ferrous to ferric ion. The coprecipitate transformed to single phase Co2Y powder at heat treatment temperatures as low as 900$^{\circ}C$. The shape of Co2Y particles obtained at 900$^{\circ}C$ was hexagonal plate-like (diameter∼$\mu\textrm{m}$, aspect ratio>10). The structure of the Co2Y was refined by a Rietveld analysis of the measured X-ray diffractogram. The lattice parameters are ao=5.8602${\AA}$ and co=43.512${\AA}$. Co2Y is a soft magnetic material with saturation magnetization 30 emu/g and coecivity 170 . A standard X-ray diffraction pattern for Co2Y is proposed as well.
