3D Printing-Based Low-Cost Electronic Prosthesis Hand Design

Abstract
In this paper, using 3D printing technology and appropriate technologies, we develop a 3D printing electronic prosthesis that is relatively inexpensive and has precise operation. The hardware design targets the overall appearance of the prosthesis from the hand to the arm. A new design environment is built so that anyone can easily and inexpensively produce an Arduino board based on open source. Hardware production uses 3D printer equipment and PLA filament material. It is manufactured at low cost, but the proportional control technology and the non-wire method are implemented to increase the degree of freedom of the fingers. The manufactured electronic prosthetic can be appropriately corrected and supplemented when reorganizing or changing system specifications in the future, and hardware modification to suit the condition of the amputated handicapped.
