Aim & Scope
International Journal of Thyroidology is an official journal of the Korean Thyroid Association founded in 2008. Its title is abbreviated as Int J Thyroidol. It has been originally published under the journal entitled “Journal of the Korea Thyroid Association” since 2008 and its title has been changed to “International Journal of Thyroidology” since 2015. The Journal is the international high-quality, peer-reviewed clinical or basic research articles representing Asia and Oceania that contribute to the understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome of thyroid diseases and other associated diseases. The aims of the Journal are to publish important articles of thyroid diseases, give synergistic effect of multidisciplinary research. In addition, it encourages the exchange of information between members, healthcare providers, health care administrators and the public. Eventually, it provides valid information to improve patient and public health. Journal editorial policy is independent of conflict of the Society. The journal is continuously distributed to members, related agencies, and libraries on whole country and reflects the trait of Korean territory precisely. It publishes the articles in Korean or English biannually (May and November 30th). Article types are full-length Original articles (basic science and clinical issues), Reviews, Case reports, Image in Thyroidology and the journal also publishes short papers titled ”How I Do It” and “Letters to the Editor” for providing instructive informations. All or part of the Journal is indexed in KCI, KoMCI, KoreaMed, KoreaMed Synapse, Crossref. International Journal of Thyroidology is provided free of charge.
