Aim & Scope
The aim of this journal is to set high standards of medical care by providing a forum for discussion for basic, clinical, and translational researchers and clinicians on new findings in the fields of endocrinology and metabolism. Endocrinology and Metabolism reports new findings and developments in all aspects of endocrinology and metabolism. The topics covered by this journal include bone and mineral metabolism, cytokines, developmental endocrinology, diagnostic endocrinology, endocrine research, dyslipidemia, endocrine regulation, genetic endocrinology, growth factors, hormone receptors, hormone action and regulation, management of endocrine diseases, clinical trials, epidemiology, molecular endocrinology, neuroendocrinology, neuropeptides, neurotransmitters, obesity, pediatric endocrinology, reproductive endocrinology, signal transduction, the anatomy and physiology of endocrine organs (i.e., the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, and the gonads), and endocrine diseases (diabetes, nutrition, osteoporosis, etc.). This journal also covers results from studies undertaken over the pediatric, adult, elderly, and postmenopausal periods of life. The contents include review articles, editorials, original articles, brief reports, images in endocrinology, letters to the editor, and correspondences. Authors are welcome to submit review articles on topics of current interest and review articles that discuss a single topic in detail. The journal also invites review articles to address pertinent clinical and therapeutic issues for its practicing readership. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a review process by a member of the editorial board and an external peer. Endocrinology and Metabolism is properly edited and peer-reviewed to ensure the scientific merit and clinical relevance of its diverse content. All published articles will have assigned a DOI provided by CrossRef. Endocrinology and Metabolism will be up-to-date with the latest advances in the field of endocrinology and metabolism. Abstracts and full texts (HTML, PDF, and XML format) of all articles published by this journal are freely accessible to everyone immediately after publication. Endocrinology and Metabolism is essential reading not only for those engaged in endocrine research but also for those involved in clinical practice and for those who are involved in establishment of government’s policy in the field of endocrinology and metabolism. The journal welcomes submissions from investigators in the Asia-Pacific and all over the world.
