Abstract

T This is a descriptive research study to investigate the level of self-differentiation, anger management, and self-leadership in nursing students and to examine the influence of self-differentiation and anger management on self-leadership. The study subjects were 191 third- and fourth-year nursing students at K University in city G. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, Pearson correlations, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 21.0. The results showed that the average self-differentiation score was 2.94, anger management score was 2.87, and self-leadership score was 3.51. General characteristics that showed significant differences in self-differentiation, anger management, and self-leadership were , major satisfaction, leader experience and interpersonal relationships. The factor that had the greatest influence on self-leadership was self-differentiation (β=.264, p<.001), followed by major satisfaction (β=.256, p<.001), anger management (β=.251, p<.001), and interpersonal relationships (β=.194, p<.05) (F=15.361, p<.001). The explanatory power of the variance was 27.4%. This study is significant in that it comprehensively identified psychosocial and academic factors that affect self-leadership in nursing students. Based on this, it suggested the need for designing an integrated self-leadership education program that includes improving self-differentiation, developing emotional regulation skills, enhancing major satisfaction and interpersonal skills. Future research should specifically analyze the sub-factors of self-differentiation and track changes in self-leadership and influencing factors over time through longitudinal research. In addition, follow-up research is required to verify the generalizability of the results across various universities and regions.
