Functions of ImageTale Application and Utilization for Psychological Counseling and Education

이미지테일 앱의 기능과 심리상담 및 교육을 위한 활용

Abstract

Recently, with the development of science and technology, various products using cutting-edge technology are being released in the human care service field. A wind of change is blowing in the field of psychological counseling, which traditionally provided services mainly through face-to-face contact in counseling rooms to help clients grow, and in the field of education, which emphasized real-time interaction of human to human. In particular, as the demand for non-face-to-face contact increases due to COVID-19, the need for counseling and educational media using internet-based applications has emerged. This study introduced the ImageTail app developed for psychological counseling and education. The design, function, and implementation process of the Imagetail app were analyzed, and the suitability of the Imagetail app as a psychological counseling medium was confirmed during the Imagetail counseling stage, which create of images and stories, and the before and after stages. Lastly, by analyzing cases in which the ImageTail app was used for psychological counseling and education, the usefulness and usability of the ImageTail app as a medium to understand human inner psychology and support growth and development was explored.

최근 과학기술의 발달과 더불어 휴먼케어서비스 분야에 첨단기술을 활용한 다양한 제품이 출시되고 있다. 전통적으로 내담자의 인간적인 성장을 돕기 위해 주로 상담실에서 면대면 접촉을 통해 서비스를 제공하였던 심리상담 분야와 인간 대 인간의 실시간 상호작용을 중시했던 교육 분야에도 변화의 바람이 불고 있다. 특히 코로나19로 인해 비대면 접촉에 대한 요구가 커지면서 인터넷기반 어플리케이션을 활용한 상담 및 교육용 매체의 필요성이 대두되었다. 본 연구는 심리상담 및 교육용으로 개발된 이미지테일 앱을 소개하였다. 이미지테일 앱의 설계와 기능, 구현과정을 분석하고, 이미지와 이야기를 구성하는 이미지테일 상담단계와 그 전과 후 단계에서 이미지테일 앱의 심리상담 매체로서 적합성을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 심리상담과 교육을 위해 이미지테일 앱을 활용한 사례를 분석함으로써 인간의 내면심리를 이해하고 성장과 발달을 지원하는 매체로서 이미지테일 앱의 유용성과 활용가능성을 탐색하였다.
