초록

As the need for innovative spinning technology to replace two-ply yarns with the earlier single yarn manufacturing (spinning) process is emerging, new technologies are being developed to secure a suitable and ideal manufacturing process and quality competitiveness. In this study, the effect was analyzed on the physical properties of the spun yarn and the yarn shape according to the control factors in the manufacturing of the normal sirospun yarn and the hybrid sirospun yarn in the newly developed composite structure yarn with a sheath/core cross-section. The result of the analysis of the spun yarn produced using the hybrid yarn spinning technology compared to the existing yarn by normal sirospun confirmed that the higher the draft ratio of the spinning method and the spinning front roller, the higher were the metric count, coefficient of variation, and irregularity of the yarn; the tensile strength and tensile elongation of the spun yarn were decreased as well. However, it was observed that the cross-section of the spun yarn ideally formed into a sheath/core structure as required according to the increase in the spinning front roller draft ratio. However, when the draft ratio was excessively large, the spun yarn showed a tendency to leave the twist region and formed a small hairy structure. It is expected that the new product development required by the market will be possible if the control elements of the composite structure are optimized.
