Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the spatial destribution of single-person households in Gyeongsangnam-do and to identify the distribution factors. Local Moran's I and hotspot analysis were conducted based on population data in 2020 to identify areas where single-person households in Gyeongsangnam-do are concentrated. The LISA analysis showed that there were 16 high-high areas with single-person households and 40 low-low areas. The HH region appeared mainly in the city area, while the LL area appeared mainly in the northwestern county area of Gyeongsangnam-do. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to find out the factors that caused the concentration of single-person households. According to the analysis, the factors that concentrate single-person households in city were multi-family housing, houses less than 40 square meters, land price index, hospitals, cultural facilities, and bus stops. Factors of spatial distribution of single-person households in the county include multi-family housing, old houses, hospitals, cultural facilities, urban regeneration, and bus stops.
