Abstract

"The Architectural Body" as the medium for transformation of body can be explored in interdisciplinary practices of architecture and ballet. Oskar Schlemmer and Fr${\acute{e}}$d${\acute{e}}$ric Flamand presented architectural ballet projects. Their projects show the concept of an "architectural body". The body is reorganized in order to conform to the changes in modern and contemporary technological environments. And this is what we can see in both cases from the mechanism in Schlemmer's to the digital urban medium in Flamand's. This study examines their projects to explore how the concept of architectural body achieves its abstraction and mechanization, thus transformed to the applicable body in architecture.
