Abstract
The data repositories for structural experiment information include the information involved in the structural experiments. The information in the data repositories can be stored and retrieved via the internet by structural engineers and researchers. The organization of the data repositories needs to be easy to understand and efficient to use. The evaluations for the organization of the data repositories have been made mainly by the descriptive way. This paper proposes some numerical criteria for evaluating the organizational characteristics of data repositories for structural experiment information, particularity the distribution of the classes and attributes at the class levels. The evaluation criteria includes the criteria for the overall class levels, the criteria for each level, and the criteria for lower class levels. The criteria for the overall class levels include the total number of class levels and the ratio of total number of classes to total number of class levels, to describe the basic characteristics of the overall class levels. The criteria for each level include the number of classes at level and the average number of attributes in class at level, to describe the organization at each level. The criteria for lower class levels include the number of lower class levels and the number of classes at lower levels, and can be applied to some classes to identify the distribution of the classes at levels in the data repositories.
