기존의 산업용 컨트롤러로 많이 사용되는 프로그래머블 로직 컨트롤러(PLC)를 사용할시 고비용과 유지보수의 어려운 문제가 있었으며, 네트워크 구성이 쉽지 않았다. 따라서 필터프레스를 원격으로 제어 및 관리함으로 생산성 향상, 유지보수 시간을 단축하고 다양한 스마트 기기(스마트 폰, 아이패드 등 태블릿 PC)를 활용하여 원격 제어가 가능하며, 기존 PLC를 이용하여 제어하는 방식 보다 요지보수 및 성능향상이 가능한 필터프레스 제어 및 관리 시스템을 개발하게 되었다.

Existing, widely used industrial controller programmable logic controller (PLC) using the high cost and maintenance was a difficult problem. In addition, the network configuration was not easy.
