A Study on FIS-B Design and Implementation for Providing Air Traffic Informations

Abstract

According to CNS/ATM, a new concept of navigation system, ADS-B systems are being built in the field of surveillance. FIS-B is one of the key elements of ADS-B, and also provides various flight informations, weather informations to the aircraft. In this paper, we reviewed the FIS-B standard and analyzed performance requirements. And then we designed and implemented FIS-B. In this simulation, we showed performance of FIS-B. And this research is very useful to the future work.

새로운 개념의 항행 시스템인 CNS/ATM(Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management)의 등장에 따라 항공 감시분야에서는 ADS-B(Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) 시스템이 구축되고 있다. FIS-B(Flight Information Services-Broadcast)는 ADS-B의 핵심 요소 중의 하나로 기상정보를 비롯하여 각종 운항정보를 항공기에 제공하는 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 FIS-B 표준을 검토하여 성능 요구조건을 분석하였고, 이를 바탕으로 FIS-B를 설계 및 구현하였다. 모의실험을 통해 FIS-B에 대한 성능을 확인하였으며, 본 연구는 향후 FIS-B의 연구 자료로써 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
