Abstract
Based on the survey for munitions companies, we have tried to find current state of the application of Korean military specifications(KDS) and their references for munition products, and how they can be improved for a better management system. On average, Korean munitions companies have 660 of KS, 18 of U.S. military specifications, and 5 of foreign standards, and annually spend about 0.4 million won for KS, but 1.3 million won for foreign standards. In addition, they have emphasized the necessity of the integrated management system for KDS and the related drawings.
군수제품 생산업체 및 조달업체를 대상으로 국방규격 및 인용표준 규격에 대한 활용실태와 내용에 대한 유효화(최신화) 확인 방식에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 각 업체별로 보유 또는 활용하고 있는 표준 규격 수를 살펴보면, KS, 국방규격, 미국 군사규격의 순으로 많이 보유하였으며, KS 구입을 위해서는 연간 40만원을, 해외 표준 규격 구입을 위해서 연간 133만원을 지불하는 것으로 조사되었다. 한편, 해외 표준 규격은 언어적인 문제, 정보 접근방식의 모호성, 표준 관련기관의 부재 등으로 인해 KS나 국방규격에 비해 상대적으로 수동적으로 최신 정보를 얻고 있었다. 또한, 설문대상 업체에서는 국방규격 정비(인용규격 최신화 및 KS 부합화) 및 관련 DB 검색 서비스 제공에 대한 요구도가 매우 높아, 보다 효과적인 국방규격 통합 관리시스템 마련이 시급한 것으로 조사되었다.
